Hi there! 😳
I agree with you, Meera is definitely a breath of fresh air- i was initially put of by her character, especially in the first three episodes or so, but eventually she managed to grow on me. It is refreshing to see a FL who is comfortable in her own skin without striving to become anybody else, but in fact just wants to be happy, her sole happiness lying in her family's happiness. Her confused state of mind, coupled with her ability to try out anything and everything new coming her way (judging by the hoard of 6-month courses she has completed), is I think relatable to all of us at atleast some point in time. Her family's opinion that she should get married in order to get focused in life, is also a relatively new concept on Indian TV...where girls are often forced to get married in order to fulfil some xyz family urges.
The contrast between the Raizadas who are on the outside extremely cordial and get all perfectly well with each other, but at the same time very formal on the inside...with the Pants, who are a madhouse and have a thousand issues with each other, but inspite of that love each other unconditionally- is very endearing to watch.
However, i have to disagree with you about one thing-Abhi's family does love him a lot, it is just that with love comes the unsaid commitments and the feeling of 'haq' , which is a thin line between depending on someone and taking someobe for granted...and the problem with the Pants is that it is always steering towards the latter.
Meera and Abhi have a lot to learn from one another- Abhi needs to know that it is okay to be selfish sometimes and think only about your own feelings, what you want in life...and maybe dealing with the Pants was the much needed challenge missing in her life, that helps her focus on what she wants.
