I agree mostly, disagree with some points.
Sidhant - I actually liked his performance, more than Helly. It was not an 'average' performance, it was at par with Shakti actually, and definitely better than Helly. And I don't even know him before Jhalak, no idea who he is. He felt at ease dancing, and it's easy on the eyes, watching a well rehearsed performance, rather than watching under-rehearsed steps. I'm not a fan, have never known him before this, and perhaps that's why it's easier to be neutral while judging his act I suppose. I didn't feel it 'forced' or 'exercising' in any way. It was quite a powerful act, just because the moves are energized, doesn't mean they aren't smooth. I'm looking forward to him, provided his choreographer knows how to work on him. 😃
Surveen - Hot Hai. She's a good performer. Takes gut to go Salman style, being a girl, and own the performance. I suppose the theme helps. The lifts were impeccable, Sanam did a great job with her on those. Especially the one she landed sitting on her back, I loved it, it's like she never went up in the air. 👍🏼
Chukti - Comments zaroori hai kya? 😕 Sometimes, I sincerely wish they'd stopped thinking dressing up is a joke. Stand-up comedy is fine if you really need to do it, but dance/reality shows. Pathetic.
Shantanu - The more you say for this guy, the less it is. Watching him dance brings a smile on your face. i probably rewinded his performance thrice and watched it again. I'm actually glad he's with Alisha, because he takes so much time to open up. That cute "nakhra" at the end actually shows how much he's working on his personality. The Shan I'd know would never have done that. He's grown so much, and as a fan, I'm so so so damn proud of him. The performance - I actually felt it was a bit underwhelming to be honest. He deserves all the praise in the world, but a 10 is a bit too much, I kind of would go with a 9. But I suppose it signifies he was better than Shakti and Salman, so on that level, the 28 is definitely bang on. Hip Hop is easy for Shantanu, that's why he makes it look easy. I agree with KJo, I want Alisha and him to go out of their comfort zone. Wouldn't mind not seeing any Bollywood/Hip Hop/Free Style for a while. Show me some PD, Contemporary, Lyrical, Aerial. Semi-classical man, why not? 😳
Helly - She was underscored - Yes! BUT; It wasn't necessarily under-rehearsed as much as it was bad, bad, bad choreography. I was the biggest Jai fan in DID, until he became a choreographer. He's a great dancer, he's a pathetic choreographer. We've seen that throughout other seasons. KJo was bang on, it's repetitive, we've seen this thousand of times before. You want to do contemporary with your partner, be innovative. It's an easy dance form, so it can technically become too boring if not well dealt with. The theme was SO good, he chose so well, and he could have gone SO far with it. Helly can be such a strong contender, but not this way unfortunately. He plays on his strengths, not his partner's. That has been elas, said a number of times. 🤔
I love both Ganesh and KJo so far, their comments are pretty accurate, actually KJo has come closer to what I feel most of the time, more so than GH. Jacqueline is cute and all, I was smiling throughout her banter with Manish/Shantanu, but it's a dance show. Be less of a fan girl, and more of a judge.
