brand vs family name

i couldn't help but wonder about the difference BTW the khans and the rest of BW after Roshan's release which seems to be a flop. whether fans hate Salman, think he is despicable and a non actor no1 can deny that he has and always has been a brand in his own right and has not relied on his family name. i think if fans can think of ranveer as a non star kid then to a certain degree salman can also be thought of as a non star kid wen he started of he didn't audition as salim khan's son and the only helped he got was a PR trick from his dad to make it seem as if was getting a lot of offers. Then there is Ranbir and HR. ranbir wen he started had no competition but the momentum he took from his private life helped his success. HR what has helped him is his dad making movies for him showing of his best side he hasn't been very successful without his dad. for me ranveer, ranbir and HR don't really have a brand of their own. Ranveer success is in the same position that ranbir was aka someone's hot bf and they both have to break away from that. ranbir has but is struggling and whats weird is that both DP and Kat wen they started going out with these guys were more successful then them. and HR is known as the spiteful loco ex bf lol. for me salman and srk will always be the best khans and irreplaceable coz they connect to fans in a way i dnt think any other actor ever has aamir's brand is his movies his last good movie were i liked aamir the actor was in ghajini and fanaa.


Sid fans does he have a brand i don't know what he is about. adi is non existed shocked he agreed to be part of the dream tour lol. arjun is my dark horse his weight issues and non bw looks remind me of ajay devgan. Tiger he will open a dance studio one day or have a dance dvd for his fans if he doesn't try something non masala. Sooraj? that guy has to scale a mountain to have an actual career



for me the only new generation actor who is building himself as a brand is Varun. his acting seems to be really appreciated by fans, they know whether the movie is good or bad he won't disappoint u. only problem is that his family is gona pull him back with their brand of cinema. that guy is an actor not a comedian. his dad and brother seem to be worse then Salman's useless brothers. no offence to them but after the remake movie they shouldn't get the kid to do any of their movies for at least 6 years.

We can analyze this Brand vs Family and get examples of both sides.
But fact is that ultimately, talent rules. We do not pay money to watch someone just Coz its Son/daughter/bro/sis of a popular star.
Maybe, for insiders , it's easy to get a movie. But it's all in hands of ticket paying people.
I remember watching Refugee just Coz Abhishek is Sr B's son 🤪 and there was lot of curiosity. Now junta is smart and make their mind by promo and promotions.
