i say this from my personal experience.
my mother-in-law is a great cook and my hubby loves everything she makes.

initially, i tried to learn from her and make recipies. it always led to problems.

now, i just compliment her and say i can never cook like her. she just feels so happy and always makes foods that i enjoy.

i focus on other things, and both of us r happy.

Sona has to understand that Ishwari is not as educated as she is. the only thing she can do is cook. i think she should just leave her alone in that aspect.

Yes she dont need to ...if sona really want to learn cooking ..why dont she learn it from her mother..but here what i observe is that sona is not interested in cooking but she is actually wana bond with mata...and aona knows how muc mata love cooking and her food is always appreciated by dev ..dev is made for mata food...so she just wana be like mata and want to win her heart by learning cooking...but poor girl have no idea what mess is running in ishu mata mind

It varies from person to person I guess, in my case I cook better than my mother-in-law .. she compliments me when ever a festival or occasion is near by šŸ˜‰ . no big deal in trying to learn in fact she should try to learn instead of getting a taunt she never even tried to learn . Ishwari feels competition that's why it looks like that but Sona doesn't mean to compete so nothing wrong from her side ..

@msoni I agree that is why the makers kept stressing how Sona could not cook at every juncture they could.

If husband is fan of his mothers food then usually wives try to learn from mother-in-law only ..and yes here Sona wants to establish a better equation between her and Ishwari too .but ishwari mata ko competition ke alawa kuch dikhta hi nahi... 😔

My mother-in-law is a great cook... I learnt from her, but there are some things that my MIL makes to perfection, and I've come up terms with the fact that there are certain things my Hubby enjoys she makes best! It fine by me!!!over all men don't think so much about these things it us women that are so hung up on these insecurities! Ishwari asked Dev like thrice about him liking the Halwa..

I loved what Sona's Dad said... Cooking doesn't not complete you as a perfect wife...we can get house help and there's nothing with that šŸ‘

even if she wanted to bond in some other way.. she would still get hurt by ishwari's behaviour... ishwari is in no mood to accept sona in any form.
