Arnav n shashi sent him to d jail.

This Shyam is so daring.. asking for money beyond what is owed to him and even abducted Khushi and was going to marry her.

Will Arnav be forced to marry Khushi?

Nice start.

Arnav is a little bit different here as compared to what we have seen and read. He is soft to people and can understand them. Well that's what I could decipher from the two chapters. The way he helped the Guptas out of trouble. When Shyam came asking for the rent or when He had to take Shashi to the doctor or when he saved Khushi from Shyam's clutches at the temple.

It's good to see Arnav like that.

And regarding the engagement of Arnav and Lavanya.. well lets see what happens.

Chapter 3

Arnav and khushi were waiting outside the Operation theater, when Akash arrived there with few doctors, he greeted with Arnav, "Thank you doctor for coming here in short notice."

"It's okay Mr Raizada, it's our duty." Soon the doctor who always checked Shashi greeted them and they walked inside OT.

"Akash.. I hope you didn't inform anything at home." Arnav said.

"No bro.. When you called, I just took the next flight." Arnav shook head.

The three person waiting outside the OT when Arnav saw the nurse was hurried out from OT when Arnav asked, "Nurse.. How's he?"

"His condition is very critical. We are trying." saying this she ran from there, whereas hearing this Khushi sat back on chair worried, Arnav went to her, "Khushi.. Don't loose hope. He will be fine."

"I know.. He has to get well for me. But this mind.. How can I stop it from thinking negative. You.. You remember doctor said anything can happen. Its his last stage.." Saying this she cried.

"Khushi.. He will be fine. Please..!" but this time nothing can console her, she ran away from there.

After one hour,

Arnav and khushi both were present there when doctor walked out, "Doctor.. Bauji.. He is fine no..!" but the doctor kept silent, "Why are you silent..?" She got little hyper when Arnav pacified her.

Arnav looked at doctor with flick eyes, "I am sorry."

Khushi loose her balance on her feet, Arnav protectively held her, just then Dr. Sahani walked out from the OT, Arnav looked at him, "Arnav.. Be strong."

"But.."

"I told you result could be positive or negative. We tried our best but his body isn't reciprocate on our treatment, the medicines aren't working, he has very less time in his hand."

Hearing this Khushi sat on the nearby chair crying whereas Arnav don't know how to react, he looked at Khushi when she again stood on her feet, she wiped her tears and asked to doctor, "Doctor.. Can I meet him..?"

"Yes. We shifted in ICU. You can meet."

She shook he head and ran inside the ICU, Arnav followed her. Khushi walked in and saw her father was lying on the bed, the machines were attached with his body, the oxygen mask was placed on his mouth as if his body is working on oxygen only. Khushi walked to him and placed her hand on his, Shashi slowly opened his eyes.

"Why are you crying..?" He asked with a slight smile.

"You promised, you will never leave me. But you didn't keep your promise." She said with a sob.

"Yes. That time I thought I am only one who can protect you but now.. Now I am sure, you have someone who can protect you always. Now I can die without any worries." He said looking at Arnav who slowly walked to him. "Arnav.. I know, I have less time.. Will you do me a favor?"

"Uncle.. Please.. Don't say like this."

"No. Arnav.. Please. Let me say. Tell me will you do a favor..?" Arnav shook his head with teary eyes. "Khushi has no one here except me. Please.. Take her with you. I know only.. Only you can protect him. Please Arnav..!" He pleaded holding Arnav's hand in him, Arnav looked at Khushi who was crying vigorously. "Tell me Arnav..! Can you protect my daughter..?"

"Yes.. Uncle..! I'll always protect her. From now she's my responsibility."

Shashi took a deep breath when tears rolled out from corner of his eyes, "Now I can go happily." he looked at Khushi and raised his hand and wiped her tears, "Khushi.. Khushi don't cry. You know I can't see you in tears. Promise me Khushi, you will never cry. Remember one thing, wherever.. I'll be.. I will be there with you always. Always remember me with a smile." Khushi cried and hugged him, Shashi wrapped his arm around her when suddenly Khushi felt he removed his hand from her, she looked up at him, he was sleeping peacefully. Khushi again cried holding him.

Arnav did his last funeral and then everyone came to their place, Khushi walked in and looked all around when Arnav was going to talk with her but stopped thinking she should spend sometime alone, he walked out and lit up one cigarette, he remembered the last few words of Shashi when suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder, "Bro..!"

"Akash.. I.. I never thought it could turn like this. I thought this operation could give him some more days to live but.." Arnav said.

"Bro.. Please.. It wasn't in your hand. You tried your best but you know God already written our destiny, so it was in his fate. You please don't feel guilty." Akash tried to convince him when they heard Khushi saying, "Yes.. You don't need to feel guilty. It wasn't your fault, you tried to help us. So, please.."

"Khushi.." Arnav walked to her, "You okay..?" She shook her head when Arnav was going to say but his phone rang so he excused.

Arnav saw the screen flashed, 'Maa', he looked at Khushi and then received the call. "Yes maa..!!"

"Chhote.. What happened? Is everything fine there? Akash suddenly left.. He didn't even call..."

"Don't worry maa.. Everything is fine." He replied.

"When are you both coming...?" She asked over the phone.

"Soon maa..!" Arnav turned back but didn't find Khushi, "Maa.. I'll talk with you later." Arnav immediately hang up the call.

He was l lost in his thoughts when Akash walked to him, "Bro.. Tomorrow is the final meeting."

"Yes. You please attend it." Akash shook his head, "Bro.. Khushi jee..!"

"You don't worry about her. I know what to do." saying this Arnav walked inside.

Next day went normal, Khushi kept herself busy anyhow whereas Arnav and Akash went to attend the meeting, though Arnav had no interest to go, but he had to.. It was almost 1pm when Arnav and Akash came back, they saw Khushi was still working, "Khushi..? You okay..?" Arnav asked worried. She didn't say anything, just nodded and walked inside her room. Arnav knew she wasn't well so he followed her.

Arnav stopped at the door and saw Khushi was sitting in her room holding her father's photo, she was crying vigorously, "Bauji.. You left me. I have only you in this world. You also left me, now how will I leave? What will I do alone?" She cried when she felt a tap on her shoulder, Khushi looked up and throw herself on his arm.

"Bauji.. I.." She cried in his arms. Arnav hesitated first then gently wrapped his arms around her protectively.

"Khushi.. Stop crying.." He parted her from him and wiped her tears with his thumb, "Khushi we can't change the thing. We have to move on with the fact. Isn't? And you know na your father doesn't like you crying. Then why are you crying? May be he isn't present physically but he is alive there.. in your heart, in your memory. Wherever he is.. He is showering love and blessings towards you.. So, stop crying." Arnav console her while passing her the glass of water, she sobbed and took few sip.

Arnav made her sit on the chair, and he bend down on his knees, "Khushi.." She looked up at him with flick eyes, "I am leaving tomorrow." Arnav said with the hope that she would say something but too his disappoint she shook her head lowering her eyes.

Arnav sighed, "Khushi.. Can I ask you something?" She nodded still lowering her eye lashes, "Will you marry me?" She looked up at him shocked.

"I am leaving tomorrow. And I can't let you stay here alone. And moreover Mr Gupta.." But Khushi cut him saying, "But I can't marry you. I know you are doing this as you promised bauji.. But someone is waiting for you there. I can't snatch her happiness for my own reasons. No.. No, you go."

"Khushi.. Khushi listen.. I didn't take this decision being emotional, I took it in my sense. But still your decision will be last one. You have full night to think but please give me your answer by 2pm." saying this Arnav walked out from there, Khushi looked at him confused, just then Akash walked in, "Khushi jee..!"

Khushi looked at him, "I don't know nothing about you but one thing I can say.. Bro really cares for you, he is so concerned about you. You know, in office.. He was thinking about you only.. What you were doing, did you eat or not.. I never seen this side of him. Khushi jee.. I assure you bro will be the best husband for you. He will always keep you happy. I know if you didn't accept him, he will not force you but may be he will settle here to protect you, to keep you safe."

"But.." She looked down.

"If you are denying for Lavanya.. Then let me tell you bro doesn't love her, he agreed to marry her because of Maa. But when maa will see you, she will accept you instantly. So, please don't think about others. Now rest depends on you." saying this Akash too walked out from her room, Khushi looked on confuse.

Khushi was pacing to and fro in her room, she was thinking how Arnav always protect her, how he helped her, at the same time she recalled Akash's word that Lavanya isn't his love. She was so much confuse. Khushi walked out and went to the balcony where she saw Arnav, seeing her there Arnav was going to leave when she held his hand, Arnav looked at him, she didn't say anything just looked down and placed her head on his chest. This didn't took more time to understand, Arnav smiled and wrapped his hand around her, she felt so protected in his arms.

Next day, Khushi served him the tea when Arnav get a call, he received, "Yes maa..!" hearing the word, Khushi stopped in her way. She heard him saying, "No.. Maa.. Don't call them today at least. Let me reach there first. Please." saying this he hang up the call and walked out, Akash followed him.

"What happened bro..?"

"I don't know.. Maa is hell behind me to get engage with Lavanya. How do I make her understand I don't want to marry her." saying this he banged his fist on the wall.

"Bro.. If you don't mind, can I say you something..?" Arnav shook his head, "Bro.. Maa always wants a daughter in law educated, modern but.." Arnav turned at him and saw Khushi was standing at the door, seeing him she smiled slightly and walked in. Arnav glared at Akash who apologized, Arnav ran inside.

"Khushi..!" She stopped but didn't turn at him. "Khushi.. Sorry.. Akash didn't.."

"I know..! Don't say sorry."

Akash also walked in and apologized when Arnav walked to her and made her face him, "Khushi.. You trust me?" She looked up at him and shook her head in yes, "Khushi.. This is true that I want to marry you with my heart but you know my family especially my maa has so much dreams for my marriage, so Khushi.. I know it will sound weird..!" Arnav looked down, he has no idea how to tell her when Khushi took hand in her, "I trust you. Tell me."

"Khushi.. We have to hide our relation until I convince my family. I promise you Khushi, I will do things correct. But.. I can't do it alone, I want you with me."

"I'm always with you. I totally trust you." She said with a smile when Arnav caressed her face with a smile, "Thank you."

"Now my would be bhabhi.. Go and get ready. The priest is waiting for you both at the temple, then after wedding we have to leave for Mumbai." Akash said with a smile when Khushi walked in to change.

Finally Arnav and Khushi get married in a simple way at the temple and the newly married couple took leave for Mumbai.
