My analysis on Dev I'm not here to hurt other feelings.
Dev, was he truly the one who is wrong for me it's a big No because it's ishwari who is at completely fault.
Why I'm blaming only ishwari:
1: ishwari didn't allow Dev to mingle with his own sisters, how a brother sisters bond develop and becomes strong it's not through giving gifts either on birthday or during occasions but it develop when the siblings spend time with each other, elders and younger knowing about their likes, dislikes, sharing about their college, gossips, fighting, leg pulling, etc did Dev and his sisters share this bond the ANSWER is a Big NO, why because ishwari didn't allow the siblings share that bond agar Nikki riya kabhi ziddi ki Dev say then she would enter and say why they were troubling Dev and ask him to rest since he might be tired, agar Dev didn't spend time with ishwari then she would have knew wat the pain would be if a son doesn't spend some time with her but she never knew. she never understood the pain of her daughters, Neha riya Nikki only knew the meaning of brother is " a person who gifts and fulfill their wishes"
During Neha marriage their was a phone conversation between sona and Dev were sona ask abt Neha likes, at that moment Dev knew that he has failed As a brother of his sisters, even though his motive was to give his sisters a best life in this process he lost the charm ,the valuable moments being with his sisters. Did ishwari has ever asked Dev to spend some time with her daughters, spend his times

It's only after Nikki doing a mistake of lying with sona helps she got some time to spend with Dev, and it's through sona Dev got to know the value of relations, and started to spend some time with his sisters playing video game.
2: ishwari made only Dev to concentrate on his business but didn't allow him in Discussing family problems and neither she never has asked Dev to join them during dinner or she never Gave priority to have dinner or spend time together. She just thought abt her and her relation with Dev, even on her birthday she wanted to do shopping with Dev but did she asked her daughters also to accompany them in her shopping the answer is NO. If a mother doesn't allow her children involve and get to know about the family then how come Dev know about the value of relations. He is totally innocent. He was surprised to see family bonding and sona dadi enjoying herself as a kid on Asha birthday.
3:Neha riya Nikki might be happy for Dev relation with sona but they are more afraid of ishwari possessiveness because they very well knew about ishwari and they doesn't want the same pain to go through on sona. Ishwari never understood her daughters even from their taunt that she loves Dev more than them, but she feels happy, its Neha riya Nikki started adjusting with ishwari behavior from younger age when ever she chooses Dev and showered extra love on him, because they knew how hard their mother worked to earn money for food that's y they got adjusted with ishwari behavior. Here Dev knew that ishwari loves him more than his sisters , he never treated ishwari loves towards him as a possessiveness, he considered her extra pamper as a love and he thought that he is blessed to have ishwari as best mom. We rarely saw ishwari and her 4 children spending time together I think we might have seen only when ishwari fall ill, and Dev might not knew how his sisters feeling when their own mother giving him extra pamper. We have seen even if Dev stays for 5 min at home in early morning ishwari ask the reason for going late she just treated Dev as a medium to get her own happiness.
If Dev would have been like Vicky then how would ishwari behave it's hard to imagine, because it's ishwari who took away Dev childhood she use to beat him and make him realize how hard she works ok I'm not saying that making children realize how hard they work for their living but in this process Dev lost his childhood.
3: ishwari always says that she knows her son well but for me she doesn't know Dev well, she only knew the happiness Dev share with her but she never concentrated on Dev, she says her son work day and night has she ever seen that to sleep
Dev take sleeping pills, does she know wat all pain he goes through , she says that if Dev has a problem than he comes to share with her but she never that Dev doesn't like to trouble her in sharing his problems. Has she ever tried telling Dev to concentrate on his health, sleep at proper time the answe is NO, If she knew Dev well than she would have never made Dev feel bad when he didn't share his relation with sona , she would take initative and would make Dev feel special that I'm happy that he himself choosed a girl and would make him feel special that his choice is perfect not only for him but also for dixit family. Even though ishwari is elder of the family she is behaving like an younger who always want attention.
4: Dev wanted sona also gets the same amount of love from ishwari like he gets, after realizing sona is his best half he wanted sona also gets know ishwari. It's elders who take generally an initative when a new family member enters but in dixit family it's reverse, Dev trying his best to make ishwari realize sona is pure from heart and she is a gem and he want ishwari to get know abt sona
Agar sona didn't work at dixit house then sona and ishwari relation would be different but each and every family member knew abt sona how sweet intelligent matured lovable she is Dev wants sona to be pampered like him all the love that he is getting he wants everyone should start showering on sona, he wanted to see his choice is perfect for dixit family he wanted to see the overwhelming on their faces which he saw during Natasha.
When his engagement was fixed with Natasha he saw each and every family member were eagerly waiting for his marriage and for Natasha entry in to dixit house the same exitment happiness he wanted to make sona feel that's why he is trying his best to make sona feel that speciality.
