So this is fairly random, but given that Ishwari made not one but two mentions of ice-cream yesterday, the first very obviously involving fond memories with Dev, are we looking at an ice-cream scene coming tonight? Same premise as the bedsheet brouhaha, just with cones and sticks instead? More realisation for Ishwari that someone else is now as important in her son's life as she is?
Which then brings me to the more important question on my mind - how much longer will the writers take to strike a balance between Ishwari's realisations and insecurities and DevAkshi's relationship moving beyond the fact of being official now and really going somewhere in terms of depth and substance? A big part of me had been waiting for Dev to tell Ishwari because I really thought that would mean a new chapter for DevAkshi too. Not a family drama-oriented chapter, but one that showed me how their love for each other deepens and grows after they don't have to hide it any more. But all I've got instead is Ishwari's conflict, shopping and Gareeb Ki Beti. I quite liked yesterday's episode, to be fair, but it was more that I liked it because it followed so many that gave me very little to rejoice about. I was a bit disappointed even with Friday's scene where Dev goes to Sona after telling Ishwari. It was lovely - the last bit positively beautiful - but it was, at least for me, a BIG moment and I somehow felt that the scene fell a bit short in conveying that sense.
Anyhow, back to the first question - is there an ice-cream scene coming?
