Anil Kapoor's much-hyped show 24 Season 2, that premiered on July 23, and boasted of a stellar cast--Sakshi Tanwar, Surveen Chawla, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sikander Kher, Harsh Chhaya and Anita Raj, among others--failed to get a decent spot for itself in the ratings chart in its first week. According to the latest data released by BARC India (July 23-29), it managed a rating of 1706* impressions (Urbal + Rural).

The fast-paced suspense thriller got positive reviews from the critics and considering there was a lot of hype surrounding the series, its poor show is a dampener. It also shows that Indian audiences have not yet got bored of the tried-and-tested saas bahu and daayan soaps mould.

24 Season 2 starts three years from where the first season wraps up. Jai Singh Rathore's wife (Tischa Chopra) is no more; unable to deal with the tragedy, Jai turns into an alcoholic. He is subsequently sent to a rehab to get over his drinking problem. Meanwhile, terrorists have threatened to unleash a deadly virus on the nation, starting with Mumbai, if the government does not release terror mastermind Roshan Sherchan. New ATU chief Mallick (Sakshi) is trying to find a solution along with her team, when Jai reaches Roshan's cell to help him escape. What happens next forms the core of Season 2.

I feel 24 should have been aired at 10 because most of the people who watch it reaches home by 9:30 so TRP kaise aayegi and also Kapil ka show bhi airs at 9 isiliye shayad 🤔

It is not the failure for the show. It is the failure of the intelligence of the audiences. If this show fails to pick up then not too many people will dare to take chances in the future and all we will be stuck to watch on tv will be the same stupid saas bahu saga, or the some super natural idiotic concept of snakes and flies.

Agree.. There are long running regressive saas bahu sagas at 9.00 pm slot which sadly get huge TRPs.. And they air on weekends too 🥱 Hopefully the ratings will pick up more, but 24 should have been aired at 10 pm timeslot.. 🤔
