H2 + O2 = H2SO4 ???????!!!!Wrong chemistry!!šŸ˜•
The same condition applies to the relationship b/n the two judges, Sonu N & Suresh W. Recently there's too much golmaal in their chemistry.
They used to share a warm and friendly relationship. Eventhough Sonu was more popular, Suresh W didnt seem to have an ego problem and despite of his own star value, Sonu seemed to respect Suresh W. This was indeed a plus point for the show.
But i think this condition has changed somehow. Their interactions seem colder now. Their relationship seems to be more professional than friendly. But this doesnt mean that they are not doing their jobs. Both are excellent judges but they just seem to have a communication gap.
They often have a difference of opinion which reflects in their grades. Sonu tried to point this out in a funny way while judging Vibhore in the Aamir Khan episode and Suresh W's reaction was not shown. BTW Suresh W tends to be more composed and serious while Sonu is talkative and jovial. Suresh W doesnt seem to be amused by Sonu's jokes and Sonu doesnt seem to care.
I dont know what could be the reason. Is it due to generation gap/ ego clash or something else?
I just wish they solve it soon.

Hmm, I hadn't noticed. I think that it was during the Aamir Khan episode that they didn't have much interaction, which was understandable because AK was sitting in the center.
Other than that, I think they both have a good relationship, even if their opinions differ. Both seem to have commendable amount of respect for each other. And like you pointed, Sonu Nigam is extremely jovial while Suresh W is very composed, keeping this in mind, I think that their response to the situation also differs. But I don't think there is a clash between. The age gap is evident, but the amount of respect each possesses for the other seems to make up for it.

Not to disrespect Sureshji but I feel Sonu is more knowledgable with respect to judging the candidates. He is more practical. I think Sureshji used to draw some cues from Sonuji šŸ˜‰ when he was sitting closer so there was some similarity in judgement. Once the guests started sitting between them there is a vast difference in their judgement. "Now samajhne vaaleko ishara hi khafi hai"..šŸ˜› I also feel Sureshji tries to copy some of Sonu's mannerisms. It is natural because he is in the limelight very few times, where as Sonu has been on screen for a long time and is used to it.

I think the Zee people need to let the guests sit on their own and if Sonu and Sureshji sit together, there won't be any problem. šŸ˜†

I agree with u that Sureshji seems to have changed his mannerisms in the last few episodes. He danced with Ashaji(never seen him dance before) and hugged Vibhore and also tries to make some funny comments...Sonu has certainly rubbed off on him...But wrt music I wldn't say that he is being/has been influenced by Sonu. His comments(in my opinion) are quite different from Sonu .Sureshji doesn't notice small variations from the original(esp in new songs).sonu seems to be very good in this.....But whenever a candicate slips up even slightly on sur,he is the first to point it out.Sometimes Sonu doesn't say anything to them..But Sureshji is not as forgiving in matters of sur(except to Vasundhara šŸ˜‰)...Sureshji also points out the fine tuning like continuity/completion of a line...sustaining a note etc.

In fact,in my opinion,Sonuji thinks more like a playback singer(with the commercial aspect of presentability etc in mind),but Sureshji thinks from the POV of music alone. 😊

It is quite normal and healty to have differences of opinion. If not, there should only be one Judge. Sometimes one sees something which the other may have overlooked. Each judge most likely has a different opinion on what aspect of singing is most important. As long as they behave cordially and professionally, it is acceptable.

Sometimes the second judge gives a higher or lower marks based on what the first judge has given, so to even out things. The giver of higher marks is always very popular.

Can't agree with you more on this point. šŸ‘ Sureshji stresses more on the theory and Sonu is more practical in that sense.
