Why is MohenjoDaro not being promoted?

Did I miss something? I havent come across any promotional event or interview apart from trailer launch and that Pooja has dengue. Rustom guys are all over the place. Has Sid Roy Kapur leaving UTV impacted it?

HR's movies does not need promotions his father has magical calculator which can turn a hit film into blockbuster.

they shot kapil show and dance plus with remo!!

or maybe they realised whats the use of wasting money rushtom gonna eat them alive anyway

He is.. he is coming on kapil show then i saw an add of him coming up in some rajdeep sir desai show too 🤔 But he should have started this promotion business long back 🤓

What I only know so far is that the movie is set in Mohenjo Daro times and there is a love story between a princess and a common man who leads a rebellion. Thats what we get from the trailer. But they also show a deluge in the trailers so the movie as might have more which is intriguing. I wonder why they are not promoting that aspect especially if there is some adventure or disaster involved.

Rustom is a less expensive film but the cast is all over. That promotion by industry folks has also helped a lot. But Rustom's disadvantage is that the story is already known so MD could have an advantage over it if this part is highlighted. But you hardly see them. Even now media coverage and blinds on HR are all related to Kangana and no one is interested in covering the film. They also should have promoted Pooja more. All this is strange as Akki, Ileana are both pretty low key esp the latter. Akki also doesnt mingle with industry folks but this time he seems to have got their support.

well promotion se kuch nehi hota if the WOM is good the film will sail through if its bad it will crash burn by tuesday

But giving the right impression is also important especially when there is a clash between two big films. BB vs Haider was ok as the latter was an art film and had a small release. But the situation with MD is people have the impression that its a pathetic film thanks to the trailers and songs. We saw what happened during Dilwale vs BM. BM was a pretty bad film too but the entire world acted as if its a classic. Everyone has already decided Rustom is a classic. Only thing going for MD right now is HR's stardom and bigger release size.
