The girl who finally woke up

A really good epi today...very well rounded I'd say.

Abhi's scene with his mom and daadi was really well put together...starting from the way he scolds his mom about the chocolates and then kinda collapses his head into her lap, getting emotional again...I loved Babli in this scene...the woman is so surprisingly assertive and vocal sometimes for all the time she otherwise spends crying. The way she tells Abhi she only used the chocolate as an excuse to get him over to her and then telling him to cry it all out...mom-son share a special bond.

And then the scene took on another shade with Amma's entry...this scene was a study in the complexity of family dynamics...on one hand, Amma tries to give moral support to Abhi, cheer him up, apologize on behalf of the useless chachas, giving us some insight into the family history (Side note: All the sons being named "something"Raj is hilarious to me😆". A picture starts to emerge of a mother who once took pride in having 4 sons but is now left with only 2, both of whom are utterly irresponsible...and there is only one grandson she can count on. That moment where she equates Abhi to her bhagwaan ...who cannot be summoned, but needs to be walked over to...some beautiful dialogues.

She managed to cheer Abhi up but another powerful moment comes after that when Babli retorts that it is so convenient for them to venerate Abhi to a God's status in one instant and in the next instant, blame him for something and suddenly take away his stature...you see how much Babli feels bitter and hurt about the fact that their seems to be no happiness in sight for her son in the middle of this mess. To which, Amma replies that this is a cycle of time...and Abhishek has sown so much good, he will surely receive some good too...some interesting reflective dialogues even as Amma looks quite regretful and resigned to the situation.

But on the character development front, it was Meera's epi...the girl who managed to overcome her fear of lightening to walk out into the rain because she was so worried about Abhi...and watching him sitting next to the broken wall seems to have strengthened some resolve inside her.

Because in her second big accomplishment of the epi, Meera conquered her alarm clocks😲👏😆...boy is the girl awake now...widee awake...I was seriously amused to see her traveling with her set of 10 alarm clocks to wake her up...lol...I guess all she needed was the right impetus in life...and that impetus was not studies, it was Abhishek ki tooti hui deewaaar😆

So so far Meera's grand plan is to steal Stephanie's bag 😕😆...I'm waiting to see if this materializes into anything halfway credible in the next epi but ok for now. The last scene when she sends up a little prayer to her Ganesh ji was vintage Meera from the earlier weeks too...

Precap shows Meera with a surprising ability to marshall forces together to her cause😆...probably after having bribed the entire Pant cousin clan...hopefully this won't turn into a bigger disaster and for once, something will go right for Abhi.

inanamarta Purvak Abhinandan .

Oh firstly, thank the Lord , Grandma is normal and nice. She is just a helpless woman who has lost a lot and is scared .She knows the wrongs but is too tied to correct it. I love these supporting actors because they bring so much nuance to the show and add charm. The sensitivity of Grandma is so good and she dotes on Abhi but is so helpless with the selfishness of this household .I feel for her.

But Abhi's mom is special. You always see her struggle with her inability to help her kid but she asserts or his rights, his self-respect and you see that Mom roar...I love it. She is a very nice character. I knew about the choco thing because it happened earlier too.

I loved this scene, the helplessness of Abhi , the resolve of these two women and just the way these 2 are a unit. Nice.Maintain this please.

Meera .Meera.Meera.
I am not going to fall for her so soon , again? She needs to give me more..maybe beyond Abhi too but for now this works..I am okay with this. I am not surprised with the alarm thing waise because she is a different person when she is in a zone or when she wants to focus or is emotionally invested. Bas more of these moments , but solitary too.

This Wall , legit metaphor .

I sense a chaos and this wall standing a witness to it . Looking forwards, this one made me a bit happy.

Next week- no editing mess, keep it simple. 😳

Loved todays episode especially abhi, mom and dadis scene.

Abhi gets those few moments where he can just rest his head on his mothers lap and let go of himself. But as usual the guy just doesnt get time even to do that as dadi enters and he is back to his good son mode.

I loved this scene and the underlying meaning to it. So dadi knows that her sons are of no use and yet wants Abhi to understand and let go. She tells him to fight like a soldier and forgive the chachas and indirectly also wants him to say sorry so peace prevails Then comes the apt line from babli Bhagwaan bhi bana diya aur fir usi bhagwaan se galti manvakar uska ohda bhi chhin liya 👏 And dadis reply that he has only done good things so he will only get good things in life. The writing and acting was so good that even though you know dadi is wrong you feel equally for her

Finally, Yay😆 There was a moment where she sees him completely broken and it strengthens her resolve to help him.And PJ he can emote so much even though he doesnt say a word you can understand what he is going through.

I really hope her plan is somewhat believable and not too outlandish😆 She sends prayer to Hanumanji😆 she has a running prasad account with him at all branches😆

Precap shows Meera with a surprising ability to marshall forces together to her cause😆...probably after having bribed the entire Pant cousin clan...hopefully this won't turn into a bigger disaster and for once, something will go right for Abhi.

She has actually put that bag under the desk where anybody could see it. Keeping fingers crossed😆

I'm so glad I read this post. My Hindi isn't excellent, and the dialogue delivery of the characters in this show is so natural and fluid that it is hard for me to comprehend them sometimes
So I completely misunderstood Dadi 😆

But that scene was beautiful. Especially when Abhi just sat by Babli. That was a beautifully acted scene by both.
PS. to clarify, the second son who ran away (so the youngest brother), did he leave to live with a rich woman or did they like kill him? [Should clarify this before I make assumptions lol]

The whole stealing of Stephanie's bag is weird to me as of now as well. But let's see what Meera's plan is... At least the cousins are working together!

OH I had to mention... The scene where the chacha so casually said he sold the cement they had, and then he pats Abhi on the cheek and says forget about what happened, I did
Oh man, that scene had me fuming. You can't help but feel for Abhi - I mean how do you even react to that?
Upar se "treat your elders with respect" and stuff like that -_- These two uncles are basically useless. They should've ran away from the house too if they can't take on the responsibility :/

Anyway, that was my rant for today lol
Nice to see you posting everyday!! :)

Lol I see you tried your hand at the salutation again, bravo :P

Totally with you on needing more from Meera, better crafted moments of nuanced self-reflection or pondering regarding situations...still this was a good movement forward today.

Word to everything you said about the two ladies. They make their presence felt...some fine acting. Daadi showed today just how human and fraught with flaws she is too. What stands out though are her attempts to correct the wrongs however little she can. Her apologizing to Abhi on behalf of the chachas was sincere even though it had that underlying intention of just trying to cajole Abhi into manaaoing the chachas.

Scenes like this make it believable that the BV writer is a consultant on this show.

The wall is definitely bearing witness to it all. Hope the symbolism is well handled in the coming days too.

+1. His sincerity especially is really endearing. He isn't your typical mahaan FL or ML, just a genuinely good guy trying to watch out for and help everyone as much as he can. Let's see if/how his good karma is rewarded.
