My all time favorite song about my Mumbai. Rafi Sahab's 1950's portrayal of Bombay is ever true for the city. Mumbai is different from all other cities in India. Bcz, Mumbai is brutal and it's all more true for the glamour world/entertainment industry. To all the staunch supporters ( I wan once I very well know) of stars...be real and give real feedback to ur stars. Here in Mumbai, you are a hero/ star and the same you become a zero next day without even realizing it! Who are better to know this fact of celeb life in Mumbai other than YHM lead cast...KP, DT, AH all three tasted initial success, rose to stardom and fell from the sky once their shows were over. I personally know about the struggle of one of them. Don't get awww and huhhh with everything what they do! Bcz by doing so...you're conveying a very wrong picture to them which in turn would only ruin their career. Trust me, Mumbai is brutal...!!

Oh I have been born in mumbai and lived here most of my life..and I can so relate to the song and what you are trying to say..😛.

honestly zoya akhtars 'luck by chance' was a very real, but tongue in cheek interpretation of what you are trying to convey...

This city is brutal..it attracts you with its allure a d then traps you...at times I feel sorry for those who try every possible way to succeed.. at the cost of values, principles and start not..but then one can't blame them..the price of stardom is steep and the fall is steep too..when it happens. .

Its also sad that people do tend to make demi gods out of normal human beings who live, work and make mistakes like any of us..but then that's human tendency...😊😉..

But i agree..as a fan..and one genuinely wanting the best for your fav person on tv /film..you are the right person to tell them when they go wrong...sycophancy can ruin even huge stars..Rajesh Khanna is a big example of what blind sycophants can do to a major star ., he couldn't even see his career was finished when it was...

Sadly both stars and fans haven't learnt from history😕

@red not just the fans who go gaga over celebrities but somewhere even the celebrities r responsible for their own downfall coz f d attention they get. N also it is true that they want to make best use f their celebrity status while they r in limelight.

TV industry is not so benevolent on Ronit Roy/Ram Kapoor or even Sakshi tanwar, even these r still struggling to find good work (age is also another factor). Btw i m watching adalat n 24 for ronit n sakshi whenever i have time, but then these kind f shows dnt get trps n popularity its just to satisfy their creativity n earnings, to keep them going.

Superb post👏

Getting fame and success instantly is not the big thing, we see many one hit wonders at first go on tv, but being urself and not letting the success get to the head is the thing.Sadly , both of our leads failed terribly and the fans r making it even more worse by showing them the oh so big fake picture.If both r starters in acting I would have understood but being experienced all these in the past and yet doing is disappointing.
