Don't take things on the net so seriously. Just like real life people can have different moods on the net. It may seem vicious but it is nothing like the real world where people will actually hurt you and still go on as if nothing. What people say do have no bearing on you. Always take everything with a grain of salt. You can only be hurt when you let some body. Try to live a life without expectations and elevating yourself as the most important thing for you. Only you matter nobody else. Don't let opinions of random people on the net get to you. Leaving from here won't solve anything. I cant tell you to stay or go but I enjoyed your posts and I feel there is so much more for you to offer and get back.

Take some time out, sleep on it and recharge your batteries and come back.

You are one of the nicest people here. But in the end this is a forum made up of different kinds of people. As for why dissect celebs personal lives, that is part and parcel of being a public figure. We don't have to be vicious but these people are a brand. They sell their personal lives as part of a narrative. What they wear, workouts, cute pictures of kids, families and so on. If you are uncomfortable with it, this is not the forum for you and that's ok. But I don't think expecting people not to comment on personal lives is possible or realistic. Instead people can be polite. As far as hurting a celeb, most here are interested in movies and are movie goers who give the celebs a career so I am not going to get too torn up about how people generally approach them. Yes, there are some people that are vicious but most are respectful IMO. Also criticism, even vicious ones are not attacks IMO. But we all have different standards. And nothing wrong in that.

But different voices are necessary to make a community vibrant or else it will become an echo chamber.

Janvii...u are one of the few sane members here...i agree this forum gets to u at times...when it does...i just take breaks from this forum...i dont read or post anything for 2-3 months and when i come back...the forum feels better😆then it wash, rinse and repeat...try coming back after a couple of months...if u dont want...its OK...Good Luck for ur future.

If IF affects you to this extent, trust me real life can be a lot harder to cope! Not judging! But one should at least be not that naive to let few nameless people on a message board get to you.

Busy yourself in the real world so you don't have as much time to spend on IF...and when you don't spend that much time here you feel disconnected from all the stupid fanwars and arguments. You come to get your dose of gossip and then leave untouched. Trust me, it works. That's what I do now!
