I am tired of becharis on Indian TV. Those who are dumped by their lovers and then choose to tolerate that in patience for whatever reason. I like Nandini. I know mine is a rare point of view. But I understand where she is coming from. I think everybody is so used to seeing the sweet, soft spoken and nice girls on T.V. Ki now it has become a norm. Everybody wants sweet soft spoken girls. This is not how it should be. Girls can be straight forward. THEY CAN HAVE FLAWS. A flawed girl is OKAY. Every damn girl on television does NOT need to be a sati savitri!!!!!!! For a change I like how completely unapologetic and straightforward Nandini is. And she should be!
She does not know the whole truth. She just knows that Akshay played with her feelings and then went on to marry someone else. And have a daughter and be a happy family. While leaving her broken and bitter.
The way she is now is because of Akshay's betrayal. She is a bitter,cynical person because of Akshay abandoning her . As she should be.
Whatever Akshay's reason for abandoning her. The fact remains that you cannot destroy one girl's life to make another girl's life. It does not work that way. Marriages should not be based on charity. It should have a base of love. The only thing keeping Akshay and Vijaya together is her daughter. Her daughter, not his. Akshay put his relationship on the sacrificial altar and married Vijaya. Many may think that he made a huge sacrifice. BUT that was not his choice to make!!!! A relationship has two people. Decisions of a relationship should be made by both of them. In his quest to be a good friend and be mahaan, he wronged Nandini. Nandini was the WRONGED party. And I completely commiserate with her!!!! Akshay should definitely pay. I agree that vijaya is the innocent party here. But Indian tv and the whole lot of Indian audience needs to understand that just because a wife is a wife and a girlfriend is a girlfriend does not mean it is not okay to toss aside your girlfriend. And Akshay did exactly that. He tossed Nandini aside. People would have been outraged had Nandini been Akshay's wife. Would AKshay have left her then ?Divorced her to be a father to Vijaya's child? Just because there is no tag on the relationship, it was okay to dismiss her?
At this point I really believe that Akshay never really loved Nandini and was just doing time pass with her .
And if that is the case I want to see him getting his comeuppance.
I have had enough of watching the bechari haalaton si maari women win. For once I want to see a confident worldly and unapologetic badass girl win.
I have had enough of the seedhi saadhi girl being picked by the dashing debonaire male lead and the male lead dumping his girlfriend/fiancee . This girlfriend / fiancee invested years of her life and her love in this man and the man just casually tosses her aside and picks the seedhi saadhi bechari!!!!! For once I want to see a show from their point of view. Of the girl who was left behind and tossed aside. What was her fault? That she was too confident? That she was sure of herself? That she was not a bumbling fool??? That she could not make gol rotis and wore western clothes???
If you wanted someone who wore sarees and made chapatis and someone who worships you, why not pick such a girl in the first place?!!!! Why go for the confident brash outspoken girl if you want a gopi vahu for your family!????!!!!!!
I have had enough of Indian TV trying to s**t shame modern girls and trying to make them seem like villains.
I know mine might be the unpopular opinion. Everybody wants to root for the bechari!
But I for one am tired of becharis. A girl who does not have the capability of handling herself and raising her voice is not deserving of any respect by anyone.
Rock on Nandini!!!! I for one am completely on your side!!!
