I don't remember ever hating a male lead as much as I have hated Raja, a complete and utter loser. The way he humiliates Rani, really shows his standard and thinking. And NO, it is NOT interesting, it's sick and completely inexcusable! And you cannot change my mind about this. I hope this piece of trash rots somewhere in hell, which he fully deserves. He humiliated Rani before he even knew her properly, all the manhandling and abuse he threw at her is completely unjustifiable. I was tolerating his taunts regarding her status, making a mockery out of her self-respect but when he found out about her singing talent during the competition and physically abused her(There was a bruise on her head when he threw her on the floor, I'm sure that's enough to qualify as abuse, if all the manhandling wasn't enough?), I couldn't tolerate it at that point.

That's when I started to ship her with Jeevan, tbh. I know Jeevan is a grey-shaded character and all but he has supported her more than her 'true luuurve'' has, at least he didn't go around pinning her to his jeep and giving her bruises. In whatever episodes I've watched, he has always maintained a decent relationship with her and honestly they give me 'shippy' feels! I swear if they degrade his character just to make Raja look like a saint, I'll be pissed at the CVs! Let him be a decent character, please! This show badly needs one.

It would be really great for him to support her and her falling for the so-called ''naajayaz'' son of Kaal than BRM's laadla. The CVs can seriously make them a really interesting pair while keeping the negative elements in Raja because he is irredeemable and any decent person would slap his attitude on his face and get the hell out of there.

Nice post.
I too hated Raja from the first episodes of season 2. he is very selfish and he just sees a woman like a doormate.
Sadly Rani falled for him ..and gave him herself on a plate just for the sake of their old friendship.
Now after Raja's bad behaviour with her ; I start doubting even Rani's mental. how can she again run to him when he got injured? (as videos show)?😲
But the interesting part for me ..(I know you may think I am a mental too ) is that we get to see many close moments of this wonderful jodi. the chemistry which RajNi share is amazing ..inspite of the storyline.😳

A man who keeps a grudge for an incident that happened years ago - how childish can one be?? He needs to grow up.
As for Rani, she needs to grow a backbone, slap Raja and whoever dares to bring her down and move on with her life - i guess it is asking for too much!! As for loving a person who mistreats, insults you - how is that even possible? Forget about love, where is the respect???

Amazing chemistry?! Honestly this 'Lead' is at a point of no return for me, he is ugly inside and out!
His scenes are cringe-worthy for me and I cant even bear to watch but I just want to see him get his comeuppance, which might take what...6 months, a year? So I dont know how this annoying little gnat will redeem himself for me
The poster is right, they will probably try to paint Jeevan as some evil character, but then so is this Raja

I agree with u...
Raja is someone who deserves all the hate. His shirtless act was clearly molestation but some audiences find it hot and that's horrible.
His forced tattoo act was physical abuse and psychotic but few audience find such scenes intense.
Jeevan is Grey character I agree but at the end of the day he is also a verbally abused person, he was abused and bullied by Raja verbally. Raja calls him najayaz judges him and bullies him. Anyone would become sour for a person like him.
But unfortunately this indian television and I know rani would end up with the molester and physical abuser Raja. But I hope this show does something different and makes rani realise that Raja is not worth it and she falls for Jeevan.

This post is ON POINT!

What I personally hate is that shows like this ultimately promote abuse (physical and sexual) in the name of Romance.
And then you wonder why all these men are going around feeling that they own women. Why they rape women. Because these shows basically tell them that "hey its okay if you harass them a bit, they'll eventually fall for you".

Consent is not negotiable.

IT MAKES ME SO MAD.

Wonderful post... I would anytime prefer a grey male lead over an abusive psychopath. But sadly I can't hope much as they can make Jeevan stoop much lower only to make raja hero. Lastly kudos to the actor playing raja. He has actually made me loathe him.
