The main highlight of today's epi was Rohan and Abhishek's adorable bond...any epi which focuses on Rohan's interactions with various characters anyways brightens up, in my opinion :)

That said, there were plenty of entertaining things and visuals in the epi overall:

1) Meera and her strange sleeping fundas...won't fall asleep when she has to wake up early in the morning and always needs someone around her to fall asleep😆...LOL I wonder how she's survived all these years...doesn't seem like her sister has always indulged this whim of hers.

2) Abhishek appearing at the door and Meera blurting out if he's come there to sleep with her😆...his face😆...and the way he awkwardly thrusts Anita at Meera telling her ki yeh kahin pe bhi fit ho jaati hai😆...and the man has his own sense of humor...as he tries to give a "janhit mein jaari soochna" about his make up obsessed sister to Meera...

3) A nod to the general set design of the show...that homestay has such a cozy decor...colonial-esque hill station...such a relief to see non-garish sets...also, Abhi again trying to practice his smile in front of the mirror...lol Meera has had quite the effect:

4) One more nod to the detailing of the set design with the way they've set up Abhi's schedule wall...2 timetables, the big clock, endless post-its stuck all over the place, chalkboard bhi...just something so heartwarming about it all:

5) The Abhi-Rohan scene as he wishes him happy b'day...the instant JOY with which Rohan hugs him was just sooo sweet...these two❤️

Rohan mumbling in his sleep about how it's all Abhi's fault that he isn't getting Meera as his bhabhi...lol...bechara Abhi...but I loved that little bit when Rohan plops his arm on top of Abhi and asks him if he'll ask Meera tomorrow about breakfast and then giggles and snuggles into Abhi's side...

6) Next morning, while the dutiful son is busy doing his chores on one end:

Sleeping beauty is yet to wake up😆

7) The bit when Rohan is sooo excited for his b'day...first for the teeka his mom puts on him (even though he gets super angry at the mention of his father) and then excitedly going about gathering wishes from everyone...

The little bit in b/w when he's just happily plopping b'day hats on everyone's heads...too cute😆

8) And finally that last scene b/w Rohan and Abhi as he tries to manaao him about not being able to get Meera over for breakfast...another super sweet scene b/w the brothers...I loved that bit when Abhi offers him his hand and then takes it away when Rohan is about to shake it...lol...the guy has a mischievous side that I guess he doesn't get to exercise as much...comes out with his little cousins and brother...

As I watched today's epi, it struck me what a great job this show does of showing the chaotic hustle bustle of a large family so well...it's been so naturally captured...the million things happening at the same time, people talking over each other, trying to get so many things done simultaneously, even as they all somehow manage to carry each other through the day, through life :) Kudos to the team for some great presentation. Great camerawork too:

This show is utterly charming .You just cannot help but smile and it steals your heart. Such naturally flowing show. I adore the cinematography , camera angle and direction. Set designs are love. I really hope they keep this location . Abhi's room is full of notes ,that clock , lamp ..so him- hectic life. While home stay -sigh, true to the place, so colonial . You feel like going and discovering this place.
Meera is a kiddo , she loves nagging to her big sister who sometimes indulges her and other times let her nag nag without any success. But I like the bond they share. Something palpable . Accha hai. I loved they continued with Meera's DDLJ fixation. Bandi, bas loves talking and people. I think , and suspect she just missed a hustle of a home while growing up.

Abhi was so awkward and then hilarious with his janhut notice speech..so much Hindi there and she got it all. I love how he remembers how to smile or that smile reference with Meera. Nice.

I love Rohan and the actor playing him is doing a very fine job. It's an incredible balance but this guy is nailing it. B'day mumbling, cake love ,and then Meera. I feel like Meera , Rohan connects with Abhi in a different way.So heartwarming this bond. I loved how in the morning , Abhi fluffs up that pillow for rohan.

Abhi's daily schedule, mom bits with grandma..cousins..you see a shift in this behaviour and spirit too. Such a guy. His talk with the other cousin about doing things for others' happiness- I see Meera changing that in the long run.

I am glad how cousins and Aunts and everyone were indulging Rohan..their behaviour is normal. Real. I love how Rohan is such a adorable baccha ..that cap thing. So much chatter, little scenes here and there..this show does well..setting up your much loved nuances.

You know you see Abhi's hope and desire too when he takes Rohan with him to meet Meera. The blabber to the door and then Anita.

Rohan-Abhi scene be highlight. Sigh. What do you even say to that. But destiny probably will have a different plan. I love , how these two bond though. You know , i have this feeling even Abhi feels resentful about his dad and Rohan expresses it more. But together they are a team, for each other. And they have a hamesha too, AY.

Rohan said Meera and he be same. I agree. They both view the world as it should be. Unchained by obligations and both make Abhi smile. Me too.

This show is sooo good..it's that tune too in the BG, the flair , execution, actors..such a regular yet beautiful show. So pretty.

I want this budget to remain like this. No messing with location. Shout out to the technical team.

Another sweet episode to end the second week. Rohan-Abhishek scenes were amazing, both actors are doing a very good job portraying respective characters and their mutual bond. Rohan is such an adorable kid...a pure soul. His interactions with everyone today were so endearing. It is very evident that his bade bhaiya is sort of a father figure to him and the way Abhishek handles him seems inherently parental. I wonder if Rohan's ever been around his dad. He got so riled up at his mention.

The set design, especially of the home stay, is something I had been noticing since episode 1. It looks beautiful and like you mentioned, indeed very cozy. I like the pastel-y colors everywhere...seems so soothing. By the way, on a weird note, those little saucers on the wall as decor sorta reminds me of Umbridge's saucer decor in her creepy office...😆 I know it's totally random but every time I see those saucers, I am reminded of her office.
The cinematography and the appropriate camera restraint is such a welcome sight. It makes you feel like you are not just a viewer, but a mute spectator of the Pant household.

LOL @ Meera's line about sleeping with her. Abhishek's expressions were hilarious! I didn't really get what he told her in hindi regarding make-up obsessed Anita.

Oh and is it just me or does Rohan's shirt have little broken red hearts all over?!💔 😔 He was so excited to have his special friend over for brunch and so darn heartbroken at the possibility of her not being able to make it.

Meera is a kiddo , she loves nagging to her big sister who sometimes indulges her and other times let her nag nag without any success. But I like the bond they share. Something palpable . Accha hai. Should've guessed you'd enjoy the NAGGING part...identifiable for you, haan Genie?😛I loved they continued with Meera's DDLJ fixation. Bandi, bas loves talking and people. I think , and suspect she just missed a hustle of a home while growing up.

Abhi was so awkward and then hilarious with his janhut notice speech..so much Hindi there and she got it all. Arey she toh deffo understands shudh hindi...did you get all that he said there? :PI love how he remembers how to smile or that smile reference with Meera. Nice.

I feel like Meera , Rohan connects with Abhi in a different way.So heartwarming this bond. I loved how in the morning , Abhi fluffs up that pillow for rohan. Rohan probably deserves a special post all of his own...the kid is doing such a fantastic job playing him...every single nuance of mannerism down to the T...the constant mumbling/garbled speech, the twinkle in his eyes, the way his hands and fingers are constantly restless...he's doing great.

Abhi's daily schedule, mom bits with grandma..cousins..you see a shift in this behaviour and spirit too. Such a guy. His talk with the other cousin about doing things for others' happiness- I see Meera changing that in the long run. I would say, I see Meera balancing that in the long run...it's not wrong to do things for others's happiness...but you shouldn't be doing things ONLY for other ppl's happiness and not your own.

There is always that sweet hope in Abhi's eyes...no matter how pragmatic he tries to be on the topic of Meera, he's enchanted by her just as much as Rohan and the rest of the family...so that hope, that excitement can't help but creep in whenever he goes to see her...he's just more successful than the others in tamping it down and getting back to hotel business and trying to treat her like any other guest.

LOL achha? Did they say Humesha to each other? I must have missed it😆...Rohan is like an amplified filter-less version of Abhi's emotions...since everyone can't afford to give in to the resentment, Abhi has taken the pragmatic path.

Rohan said Meera and he be same. I agree. They both view the world as it should be. Unchained by obligations and both make Abhi smile. Me too. Rohan and Meera deffo share a pure heart...that is why they bring out a happier side in Abhi...they'll probably double team to rag on him later on...lol

I want this budget to remain like this. No messing with location. Shout out to the technical team. Amen to all this.

LOLL@ the Umbridge reference...good one...yeah I like all the pastel-y colors...such a soothing relief from the sharp, garish colors used in most shows...even the clothes the people in this show wear are never loud in color...Abhi's shirts are all understated...aur koi show hota toh they'd probably show him wearing PURPLE and god knows what colors.

Such a lovely point you've made about how the direction and camerawork make us feel like we are a part of that scene, watching the whole thing happen live rather than viewing it as an audience...if I was to throw in another HP reference since you so enjoy those😆, it'd be like a Penseive :P

Abhi basically told Meera not to let any of her make up related articles lying around Anita...he said it like it was a PSA, that is what "Jan hit mein jaari" meant.

Rohan probably was very young when their dad abandoned them but it seems to have left a deeply lasting impression on him...and given his autism, all his emotions and reactions are bound to be magnified.

Aww those were hearts? I thought it was a random flowery design😆

I felt bad for him too...poor thing so heartbroken...but I think Meera's going to find a way to make it up to him big time😆

This was one of the sweetest episodes ever. The actor who places Rohan is brilliant. Not once does he go overboard with this act. I loved Rohan and Abhi scenes. Abhi is like a dad/ big bro/ friend to Rohan. Their bond is so sweet n pure. I would love to see Meera/ Abhi/ Rohan having a small celebration before his bday ends.
Abhi is an excellent student. Practicing his smile every time he comes out of her room. His awkwardNess is endearing.

Rohan's resentment towards his father is deep rooted when compared to Abhi's. Maybe coz he never could experience his dad's love like Abhi did.

I loved the episode. It was a well rounded episode.

Sweet Episode , much dwelling into Rohan's Character..

His instant hate on mentioning his Dad was Interesting . Given his Age and Condition , his does understand the repercussions that were caused because of his Father esp on his Bade Bhaiyya...

The night scene ...Rohan cuddling upto Abhi was so heart warming ...

Liking how they are representing each episode and slowly peeling up layers of each Character ... like though there was much focus on Rohan ...there was more peak into other family characters Mannerisms...
Body Builder chachu pastering his son to do push-ups and he just not interested .. Pant kids love each other a lot unlike elders..
even the scene where Rohan was making everyone put on that Hat ...aww...Avni was like Rukh pehenti hoon ...khush ?? and that Hug ..so sibling like...Mega AWWW to that ...
Pant familiy reminds me of those Old movie Khoosurat Khatta Meetha families ...ek se ek Namoone...😆

Abhi saying "Kabhi dusro ko khush bhi karna chahiye" ...just last night Meera told Abhi ke pehle khud khush rehna seekho , phir dusro ko khush rakh paoge...hmmm seems Abhi has long way to go before he learns that ... :)) . I guess there is a guilt of his Father Abandonment may be that's why Abhi is more focsussed on keeping Family Happy first ...

Word about the Location adding beauty to the show , It's like the Location itself is a character adding more authenticity to the Show's Realness...

The House stay decore reminds me of Grandmama's cafe (restrau in mumbai )interior or like a Parsi house ...so cozy and so easy on eyes..

abd they have taken care of such detailing ...Like in the first epi the slate had 3 tasks : Stephahie 18 july (date when show started ) , Mona's fees and delegation .
in that 1st epi only I closes Stepahie wala task ...
and in yesterday It was Delegation on top ...
How well they have presented Abhi's basic Character through this to-do list ...
Can't wait to see Meera's reaction when she enters his Room...hahahha that's gonna be super fun...

I love Pant Kids...they are so there for each othet at any time...
Lovely Bond...

PS : Meera was wearing socks while sleeping ...hahaha , SO MEEE

Edit : Good to see easy chilled out Abhi...

What a charming, understated show😃, Abhi-Meera make their way into your heart slowly but surely without standard tropes like angst, misunderstanding, deep gazes and of course trip fall catch. Rohan is Abhi's biggest cheerleader and wing-man in his own sweet way, the actor is doing a good job.

Kudos to the team for delivering something not often seen in desi TV, authenticity. I think they did a very good casting decision of having relative newbies spearhead the cast and the characters uplift the actors⭐️. I hope they maintain the quality for sometime without buckling under TRP. The forum activity absolutely does not justify the content of the show!
