Special reason for a special thread. Time to celebrate a rockstar's birthday. Yes a rockstar of indian television. who shot to fame with his role of 'Mihir Virani' in iconic soap opera 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'.
It's none other than The dashing Amar Upadhyay!! Congratulations on hitting the big 40 Amar Uphadhyay 🥳
Amar Uphadhyay was born on 1st August 1976 in Ahmedabad India. He grew up in the Malad suburb of Mumbai. He did well at school and went on to study chemical engineering. Amar started out as a model and was discovered by Jaya Bachchan who offered him a role in his first to serial Dekh Bhai Dekh.
After mediocre roles Amar hit the big time in 2000 with the mega hit serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi playing the romantic character of Mihir. When Mihir died in 2001 fans were hysterical. Protests and marches were held over India - and the production company was flooded with complaints. Mihir was resurrected and Amar was a superstar. After this role Amar was launched in Bollywood but the reception was lukewarm. Shortly after Amar married Hetal Upadhyay and is father to a son and daughter.
After reentering tv and doing several inconspicuous roles Amar entered the Big Boss House where he did well and came 5th.
