Twinj Drabble : Limited time

"Please don't leave",said Twinkle as she held back her tears.

She needed to stay strong,not for herself but for her family,for her Kunj.

Her Kunj was leaving,not for a time being but for a life time.

He needed to leave

How they were supposed to grow old together but here he was lying down on the hospital bed,breathing his last.

He had promised not to leave but he didn't have a choice,God had its plans.

"Please,I beg of you",said Twinkle desperately

"Shhh,please don't cry my siyaapa queen",said Kunj weakly

Kunj had gotten weak and paler,he was barely audible anymore.

"Mein tumhare bina nahi jee paungi"

Kunj chuckled."Tu humesha se hi drama queen thi"

"Chalo mein Bhi tumhare saath upar chalungi"

"Twinkle yeh Kya baacho jaisi zidd hai",said Kunj getting angry

"Tum isse Jo Bhi samjho"

"Twinkle tujhe jina hoga.Mere jaane ke baad,humare families Kya dhyaan rakhna hoga.Jab humara baby iss Duniya mein aaiga,tab kitna maaza aaiga na"

Twinkle looked at him confusingly

"Arre baba,mein upar se apni zindagi Ko dekhunga na.Jab Bhi Tu naya siyappa karegi mein upar se dekh kar hasunga,humare baby ka first step,first word,sab excitedly dekhunga"

"Kunj",Twinkle had started crying badly now

"Yaar agar Tu aise royegi toh kaise chalega?"

At that moment The nurse entered

"Mrs.Sarna,it's time"

"Nooo,please don't,I beg all of you please don't."

"Twinkle,you promised you'll stay strong",said Kunj stroking her face

Twinkle closed her eyes while Kunj nodded at the nurse

Slowly one by one all the family members came inside the room.

It was time for him to leave.

The nurse went ahead and pulled the plug off the ventilator.

Everybody froze as they heard the clock tick.

Kunj knew he hardly had seconds now.

So he looked at the love of his life beside him,kissed her on her forehead with great difficulty and smiled

"Next life,Twinkle Sarna,it's a promise",said Kunj as he winked at her and closed his eyes.
