Gadas are Gujarati Jains.I think Jains come under General category.Jetha calls himself Kutchi manus. What's the caste of the Kutchi people?

I am asking this because I was watching the college admission track.Tapu didn't get admission in spite of securing 89%.Nobody talked about the reservation system in that track.

So I wonder what might be the caste of the Gadas.

Sonu definitely belongs to the General category as I saw a thread on Bhide's body in one of the episodes so they are Brahmins.

I don't think Hathis are Brahmins but Goli secured very good percentage so he got admission.

In which category do the Sodhis belong?

Jains belong to the General category in all states except Orissa.Only in Orissa, they belong to the OBC category. So they don't have any reservations in any state except Orissa.

Kutchi is not a caste. It's a region/district in Gujarat. As jetha's village is in the Kutch district,he calls himself Kutchi manus.

Till now they have not shown the caste of the Gadas. They are only known as Gujarati Jains in the show.

According to Wikipedia,Sodhis belong to the Kshatriya community so they too belong to the General category.

I hope NOW Mayawati will not say that this show is anti-DALITS 😆😃😛
And ask for 2 SC/ST & OBC Families reservation in the show 🤣

Jokes apart , NOW Jains are known as Minority religion officially 😊 But they never need this status & benefits as per my opinion ...They are very much capable & highly literate community & connected to Hinduism very well😊

Minority religion is a different thing. Jains wanted Jainism to be recognized as a different religion. Prior to this, they didn't have a separate legal identity, Only because someone belongs to minority group doesn't make him or her liable for reservation. This way no Hindu would have ever got a reserved seat because Hindus are a majority in India.
Reservation in India is not based on religion. Its for socially backward classes. At national level, SC/ST and OBC are the basic reserved classes. Apart from this defence personel, freedom fighters, physically handicapped, sport personalities etc have reservations as per the institution's guidelines. Tappu should have got a seat under sport quota but then they wanted to show a real struggle for him.
At State level, reserved categories apart from the three ( SC, ST and OBC) may differ as per requirement.

I agreed dey.BH
But Religious minority status is given under constitution rule

And there are many advantages of this status also

And that's why I used word Reserve

And I firmly believe Jains are never in need of these advantages socially or financially

And Identity can not be separated by LABEL or tag given by Government

It's long topic to discuss whether Jain needed Different or they are highly connected with Hindus
