the essence of devakshi lies in the honesty and understanding they share...the more i watch this couple the more i can see the contrast between the relation between dev-ishwari and devakshi...for dev ishwari is his entire world...he worships her and considers her as his ideal woman...thatz it...

coming down to sharing feelings, hving unbirdled communication...elements that actually gv shape and depth to a relationship all these r missing between dev-ishwari...how many times dev has told sona that he feels complete with her...how many times he has told her that she is the only thing that he wants for himself...his mother and family have been his responsibility all his life...for ishwari dev is the pillar of her family...his hardwork, dedication, and love toward his family are her assets...as long as dev remains totally devoted to her she has no worries about her and her family's future...but how many times ishwari has sat and talked about dev's dreams...wat r his plans for his future...wat desires he has regarding love and marriage...ishwari has no idea and she never cared about that...she believes dev's responsibilities for his family does not let him think about himself and she actually manipulated him emotionally to believe that his dreams are the dreams of his family and he was never taught to consider that as an individual he has the right to be happy for himself other than his family...

i totally adored the devakshi scene ystrdy...sona was not trying to convince him to hv faith in god nor was she trying to lecture him about the virtues of praying to god...she was only telling him to hv faith in the strength of his mom whom he considers as bhagvaan...it is a very simple logic that sona so beautifully explained to dev...dev worships ishwari because he believes in her strength and ishwari believes that her strength is god...therefore it is only right for dev to sit for the puja only for ishwari's sake...

i love the kind of understanding they share...dev saying his mom is his world and everything else is secondary...it actually hurts to hear these words from the man we love but sona always knows this but at the same time she trusts his love for her...dev has loved her in a way that he has never loved in his life and she is attached to that part of his life which he never even knew existed for him...he never knew that he has a world outside the realm of responsibilities for his family and for dev sona is the solo queen of that world...

but the best part is where dev was saying he is ziddi and cannot change for anyone and sona asking "mere liye bhi nahi"...i loved the pause after that...some questions r so blunt but it was dev's honesty that he took his time to gv her the truth hoping not to hurt her at the same time...love is not about wanting to change the other person but the ability to accept each other along with their flaws...for sona it is the feelings that count since a man can never be perfect...

it was not sona's words that convinced him to sit for the puja but the facts that he always knew but denied...the fact is he never believed in god but he always knew that god is a truth for ishwari from whom she gets all her strength...sona has the wonderful way of making dev see wat is always there in front of his eyes but he cannot or rather refuses to see...

Perfect analysis!

Let me add my points here.

Dev never believed in GOD. Is it Dev who never believed or Ishwari never made him understand why what he says is not correct. Often we have seen kids react and say things when hurt. But its the elders who make them understand why saying or believing some things are not right. When Dev said "Your God took my father away" or "Your God never does anything", generally we hear parents say, its because God wants good people too or God wanted a good father as well and so he asked him to come or God tests good people to make them even stronger. Its as simple as say a kid would say, that uncle or aunty is bad, but its the duty of a parent to teach them why hating someone is not good. A kid who is never made to learn to see the goodness of the person (may be God) in front, often turns into someone who is arrogant, rude, hateful towards everyone as an adult. But what Ishwari said always was "Aisa Nahin Kehte", no explanation of why "Aisa nahin kehte" ya "Kyoun Nahin Kehna chahiye". I again felt why Ishwari is a failed mother, who couldn't bring anything good in any of her children. Dev and Neha were totally screwed up kids and we saw what they had became as an adult because of all that. If not for Neha's love, even Nikki and Riya would have turned into something crude n rude.

And Sadly now we are seeing a totally different avatar of Ishwari "a mother" or a "jealous wife/GF".

i totally agree with u...children need to be taught the reason to make them do the right thing...otherwise they r naive and stubborn and will do watever they want...ishwari has never been that guiding light for her children...this is where sona steps in...

she doesnt force dev to do anything nor did she tell neha to wear the lehenga...she only made them see the reason y they shud do these things or rather the impact of doing such things will hv on their loved ones...for instance, sona only told dev to sit for the puja not for god but because his mom will be happy and dev will do anything to make his mom smile..
