When the going gets tough for the team, we are shown a intelligent Abhi for one day and bingo, gone, all done, memory erased. How many times did we hear that he is going to get to the bottom of something and then nothing happens. It is akin to Pragya saying " hum hamesha hamesha ke liye ek ho jayenge". Both of these never happen, sadly.
This one year and all the mishaps that happened in his life didn't change him much. He is still the dilly-dalling, ping-pong ball. Major life events didn't change him. Man, this is his life. If life is throwing a curve-ball at you, better take the bull by the horns and face it. No point in sitting dejected, moping, sulking and lethargic.
And coming to recent events, Pragya gets scandalized, drugged and sexually assaulted all in his house, in his room. FORGOTTEN. Even if she is not the love of your life and your enemy, if something like this happens in your house, would you simply chase the perpetrator and keep quiet?
The DNA proof is presented with the possibility that he may not be the baby daddy. This is such a BIG deal. Don't you want to know for sure than banking on the possibility that this may be falsified. Instead he drowns in his own misery. DIDN'T EVEN REGISTER.
He gets presented with divorce papers in the most unusual circumstances. Would you get mad because your self respect is at stake, no one can cross the RS and sign the papers in anger. Don't you wait to find out from the person in question if she is also the love of your life, even if it takes days, weeks or months? She is not shopping for ever. No, moping for one day is just too much for the RS. Investing more energy than this in his relationship with the love of his life is a waste of time for him. MISGUIDED ANGER.
I am not in support of the worthless team which just lectures Pragya and doesn't do anything to support her. I know this is a big part of the MU and all. But he also needs to take some responsibility from his side to figure out EVEN though he is not privy of any in depth information. We haven't seen any of this. In the revenge marriage days, even though he was nasty to Pragya he was intuitive. That is what made him endearing in the end. The writers deleted intuition from his character completely. Give us the real Abhi back, please.
So do we think memory loss will make a difference? He doesn't know anything anyway, or forgets important information/clues, or just plain doesn't see it, he has to be guided ( mis )all along by hand by dadi or YKW. So what is going to be different. Are we going to be fed repeat of Abhi-YKW romance? Bring it on, so I can be at peace and solidly decide on bidding adios to the show.
I am hoping that the show will turn around for good. If not, God help us. The repeated injustice shown in this too jarring for me at this time.
