Chapter 10

SEALDAH RAILWAY STATION

"Jodha beta sab saman thik se le li hai na?"

"haa ammijaan sab thik se le li hai. Sare dryfruits v rakh li hai, garam kapde, tickets sab le li hai you don't worry."

"yeh jalal kaha hai? Off avi thodi der me train chutegi or ye janab gum ho gaye." Hamida panicked.

Mirza came with hands in his pockets. "ammi train me bohot bheeer hai. Sare kya honeymoon pe jaa rahe hai?"

"besharam!! Kuch to lagam lagao apne zubaan pe. Sab tumhare jaise nah hai betejaan."

"arry nahi mirza, bengali new year ane wala hai na that's why sab chutti me jaarahe hai."

Then jodha saw a figure is approaching towards her. She walk to her.

"kaisi ho maa?"

"acchi hu beta. Tu kaisi hai?"

"main acchi hu maa."

"kal hamida ne bataya ki tum log jaa rahe ho to socha ki tumhe see off karne aajaye.waise reception ke baad bas do call? Itna man lag gaya sauraal me beta!!" mainawati chuckled.

Jodha gone red by shyness. "aisi baaat nahi hai maa. Bas sabkuch naya naya tha na to bas tym nahi mila."

"arry didi aane to mujhe bhula hi diya lagta hai. Jiju ka asar itni jaldi padhega soch anhi tha." Sumit said.

"hey sumit!!!" mirza sees them and approached towards them. Hamida also saw them. She too go.

"kaisa hai yaar tu. Kuch nahi mirza bhai, bas padhayi ne jaan le rkhi hai."

"is baar fir se first hone ka irada hai na?"

"kya mirza bhaai!!" sumat smiled.

Mirza approached towards mainawati and take her blessings. Sumit did the same with hamida.

"jodha, jalal kaha hai? Or bhaisasb bhi dikhayi nahi de rahe hai."

"jalal kuch samaan khareedn e gaya hai. Kuch khane ki cheese or kya. Or tumhare bhaisaab ke sare bache ane wale hai drawing class ke lie. To who ruk gaye ghar me."

"maa"

"arry jalal!!"

Jalal came a hand full of acket with him. Mirza took it. Jalal bend to maina and take her blessings.

"kaisi ho aap? Or chacha ji or dadisa kaisi hai?"

"jug jug jiyo beta!! Sab bilkul thik hai. Tumhe sab bohot miss kar ahe th. Bol rahe the ki reception ke baad tum ek baar bhi nahi aye humse milne."

Looking at jodha, "bas time nahi mila maa. Ab wapas ake zarur aunga."

Mirza look at jalal and watch him looking at joha while talking. He think to pull his let a bit.

"bhaijaaan aap bhabhi jaan ke tarf dekh ke ku bola ke aapko time nahi mila? Bhaibhi jan ne apki sari time le li thi kya?"

"mirza!!1" he gitted his teath, while jodha got embarress. Watching this sumit also started. "kya jjiju, aisa kya kaam karwa rahi thi didi apse ke apke paas time nahi mila humse milne me?"

Jalal and jodha got red in embaressment. While hamida and maina just hiding their smile.

Suddenly train blows whistle. Hamida mirza sumit and main went down from the compartnment and came to their window.

"samhal ke jana beta."

"don't worry ammijaan maa, hum thik rahenge." Said jalal with assurence

Hamida said jodha in whisper, "who cheees le li hai na/ yaad hai na tumko kya karna chahiye? Yehi mouka hi attack ka!!!" then wink on her.

Jodha got shy. "yaad hai ammijaan" she siad with a shy smile on her lips.

Train started to move. Jalal and jodha bid bye to them. When the trainstarted to go out from the station.

"jalal too the seat in front of jodha. "tum thik to ho na?' koi problem ho rahi hai kya?"

"nahi I am compleately fine. Aap bas baithe rahiye kuch chahiye hoga to bol dungi."

Jalal settle down in front of her. Time passing. They talk very few. But their eyes always communicate with eachother. Now its time to eat dinner.

"jalal look outside, and say, "hmm its Malda Town. Jodha I think hume dinner kar leni chahiye."

"haa thik hai main bag se tiffin nikalti hu." Saying this jodha pull the bag wich she pached for tiffins.

"pata nahi ammijaan ko train me booking karne ki kya zarurat thi. Flight me bagdogra chale jate time kam lagta."

Jodha look at him, "yehi to, train me zyad awaqt bita sakte hai."

Jalal shockingly look at her. Jodha immidiately composed. What did she just said. Jodha look at him.

Jalal not changed his mode and said, " do u want to spend time with me?"

Jodha got shy with his direct question. She don't know what to say. Yes se want to spend time with him more and more. She want to know him more.

"maine yeh to nahi kaha."

"to matlab tum mere sath time spend nahi karna chahti?" jalal said with hurt expression.

"maine yeh bhi nahi kaha." Jodha said michiviously.

"to tum kya kehna chahti ho zara khul ke batao." Jalal meekly said.

Jodha look at him and said, "aap or main pati patni hai. I know maine apka haq apko nahi dia abhi tak." Jalal felt hurt by her words."per main who haq apko dena chahti hu. Lekin usse pehle apko janna cahti hu, samajhna chahti hu."

Jalal feeling like jumping on that seat but he calmed himself. If he jumped he will grow a big potato on his forhead coz the above seat was just not so far from his head.

"ek ladki apne pati ko uska haq tabhi deti hai jab who usse pehchan jati hai puri tarha se apnati hai. And aap bura mat manna kyu ki huamri arrenge marriege hui hai to kahi na kahi ek hichkichahat reh gayi hai mujhme. Isi lie main apka haq apko nahi de paa rahi hu. Er main is hichkichahat ko dur karna chahti hu. Per uske lie mujhe aapko puri tarha se apnana hai. Bina apnaye main koi bhi kadam nahi uthana nahi chaihti."

Jalal silently listen her decision. Though he felt a bit hurt that still jodha cant fully trust him. But he can understand as a gil its notso easy to give herself to an literallyunknown person. And now he feel proud of her dicision and her views. He fell proud to have her as his wife.

Jodha took out the tiffin and took out a plate and serve for him. Jalal went to wash his hand.

Suddenly an old lady from the front compartment asked, "beta, nayi nayi shadi hui hai kya?"

"ji maa ji."

"tera naam kya hai beta?"

"ji jodha chow.." she hold herself. No she cant take this anymore. Immidieatly she corrected, "ji Jodha Jalaluddin Muhammad"

Jalal was coming back washing his hand when he listen their talk and felt bliss to listen jodha joing his name with her. He wait to listen more.

"kya?" the lady exclaime. "tum hindu nahi ho?"

"ji main hindu hu. Kyu?"

tumne ek Musalman se shadi ki?"

[guys don't get me wrong. I am breaking anyones belive. But this is only a fiction. I very mucha ware that ou country is secular and will always be. But some where the marriege between hindu muslim is somewhere aganist our society till now. So some of our people I think think this as acrime still. If be it in love or arrenge. The character of this lady is somewhere like this. But I sisnt want to hurt all of ur feelings. My belife to as an indian is as pure as my thought. I belive that hindu muslims are two souls of our country not separate. So if I offend any of you please tell me in my inbox.]

Jodha shocke to hear her question. Jalal also shock.

"Kya matlab?" jodha sked her politely

"tum ek hindu ladki hoke ek musalman se shadi kaise kar skati ho?" ye thik nahi hai. Bhaag ke shadi ki hai kya beta?"

"yeh aap kya keh rahi hai? Or kisne kaha ki humne bhaagke shadi ki hai?" jodha got a bit angry.

"aary beta tumko kisi hindu ladke se shadi karni chahiye ti. Tumhari maa baap ne tumhe ek muslim se shadi karne kaise di?"

Jodha think for some time. its not good to argue with her. She looks to be a kattar hindu. Its not good to hurt her emotion. But what she says is also not right.'

"maa ji. Main apke baat samajh rahi hu. Per ye to thik nahi hai na ke hum hindu hoke musalman se shadi nahi kar skte. Ha ye baat hai ki zyada tar karte nahi hai. Per humne to kia hai na."

Jalal feel happy with her answe. He can clearly feel that she don't want to for anargue with her.

"to kya love marriege hua hai?"

Jodha got a bit shy, which jalal cant see. Then said, "ji humara love mariege hua hai."

Jalal's mouth got open wide. Is she just say we have love marriege. A slight cheerfulness spread in his face.

"ohhh tabhi main kahu. Love marrige haaa???"

Jodha got shy a bit and just then jalal came and sat beside her.

"ji maa ji huamra love marriege hai."

"bohot accha." Said that lady.

Jodha give him his plate which she served. He look at the plate. Its rice with paneer curry and salad.

"tumne banaya?" jalal asked while being a bit romantic.

"ji, ammijaan ne bataya tha ki apko paneer pasand hai to maine socha ki jourey hai to simple paneer banau taki apka fav bhiho ho or koi gastric problems bhi na ho."

Jalal a bit curious to see her like full ghar ki bahu mode. " tum to sachmuch me humari ghrki bahu jaisi baat kar rahi ho. Khayal rakhna wagaira. Ye meher kabse?"

"ap mera mazak uda rahe hai?" jodha got angry. "jaiye baat nahi karungi aapse."

"aare meri itni majal kaha ki hum apni begum ki tauheen kare? Tauba tauba" jalal chuckeled.

Jodha got annoyed. She looks outside of the window.

"aarry jodha tum to naraz ho gayi. Main to nbas aise hi. Iam sorrry." Jalal said plasting a uppy face. Jodha srtill look out of the window. "tum jab aise mera khyal rakhti ho to bohot acha lagta hai. Man karta hai ki tumhe apne aaghosh me lelu or kahi jane na du. Itna khayal kyu kati ho tum mera. Humaapke hai koun?" jalal said the last line looking at her.

Jodha couldn't look at him as she know what asnwer he want to know. She just blush. And lookinga her blush jalal's heart started to dream most beautiful future with this beautiful woman who is his wife.
