Well written! Thank you 😳

Somehow after watching yesterday's episode I ended up feeling bad for Sona being caught in the midst of this complex dynamic. Strangely enough I did not get that feeling because of that scene with Ishwari because that one actually made sense. She does not know they are in a relationship so she can feel emotional about her son not eating something she knows he loves and which she made with a lot of effort. My mother is that way too, she makes stuff that is unhealthy but will obviously be hurt if we avoid it completely.

Oh yes, Sona has no clue what's she's gotten into. I agree Ishwari was being emotional about the whole halwa thing & she got her point across. But what irked Ishwari more was the fact that Sona was taking charge of her role. It was not about the halwa at all. She had a place in Dev's life & no one could take it. Only she had the right to dictate the do's & dont's.

I felt bad for Sona after her cafe date with Dev actually. The vibes from the scene indicate a relationship driven by him - when to get into it, when to make it public (even when it seemed to mean a lot to her to go public but he dismissed it rather casually), when to stay apart with little room for her to influence any major milestone. Even all the love that he showers on her somehow could not banish that feeling..

Completely agree on this one. Didn't he just dictate his point as well?? I'm hoping Dev doesn't turn out to be an exact copy like his mother. But off-late he's giving me those vibes...
Copy pasting what I've written above:

Letting the respective folks know about the person you want to be with for the rest of your life is a big thing.. I kind of didn't like how he took complete charge of the situation & cut her off immediately by saying that he's didn't want to share her with anyone. Found him a bit aloof. I expected a little more discussion on that front. Him asking her if her parents would agree or not... He just thought about it from his pov & expected her to stick to his decision..which she invariably did. I would've been ok even if he said what Elena said - Chori chupke pyar karne ki maza kuch aur hai or something like giving themselves more time to get to know each other. But this 'not sharing business' sounded just like his mother 😕

Someone wrote something I liked in another thread ...Sona needs to move out of Dixit house, needs to stop roaming the house looking for someone to heal...Her value in his life is not on account of her ability interfere and help him resolve his family issues. I so want her to have a life of her own..Post the accident phase, that aspect diminished on the show, everything about Sona became about Sona-Dev whereas there are many things about Dev on the show that have nothing to do with Sona..
Interfering just gets things more complicated... just like what push-pull has stated above as well. They need to deal with their mess & Sona will have her own share of problems to deal with with. Glad that her folks are around her to lend a shoulder to cry on.

Sorry if I have digressed from the point of our post in my reply but when I read about the complex Dixit family, these thoughts were uppermost in my mind...:) This so happens to me as well, I start thinking on what to write & end up writing something else... This complexity is way over my head.😕

Awesome discussions

The Dixit family came out of poverty and yes it was Dev that drove them out of it but it was Neha's support too and personally I feel Ishwari has always praised Dev and never uttered a word to Neha and that's the reason she always threw tantrums because no one acknowledged her efforts
Ishwari and Dev had always discussed business or family matters because it was always only Ishwari supporting Dev but now that he has Sona he also has brought her in his life by discussing family matters which Ishwari dislikes and true a parent would not like and employee getting involved in personal matters and here Dev should make a stand and tell his mother that Sona is the girl he has chosen to be his life partner but instead he shies away wanting to take his time so he can enjoy his relation in secret and he is not at fault because he never had anything just for him like he has Sona now just for him .

Sona has a understanding family so why has she not mentioned it to her family as yet she wants their relation to become public sure but she herself is hiding

Ishwari is a wonderful person but she seems to concentrate more on wealth maybe because they never had it and that's understandable but now that they have it she should start bonding more with her other kids too
