Hey guys, I am just wondering why Devnakshi's love is kept a secret from both families?

I don't understand hindi, so I might have missed them talking about why they are acting like two teenage lovers...loving dangerously.

As far as I know, that day he broke his engagement from Natasha, and realized his love for Sona...and was sure Sona loves him too, was the right moment to go into his mom's room and tell her or at least hint her about his feelings for Sona.

I have personally tried to give reasons for them and couldn't find one.

Both are single grown Adults

Both feels strongly about each other

both are independent financially

Both families are not class conscious (hence sister's love marriage)

Sona gets along with every member of the house. exp. mom

both very beautiful and handsome

both are not in any situation that makes them wait for the right time (sister's wedding came up later)

So light me up about why this beautiful couple are keeping their love so secretive.

Well, they have just found that they have feelings for each other ...and they are taking it slow and steady to a stable level. They are getting to know each other better...without any added pressure from the family ,

For sure they will tell their family when they are fully ready...😊

There is a saying Falling in love is easy staying in love is difficult

both Dev and Sona had to realize whether they truly are in love with each other

they had to understand each other and they had start building their relation

one that falls in love does take them time before they run off to tell their parents

normally the siblings know like in Sona's case both her brother and Elens knows

while with Dev its difficult he only had his mother always to confide in but this is different

There relation is just one month ago, they need time to know each other and want to bask in glory of love for now without any pressure. Telling to family would mean questions from their side about the future. Also, if families don't agree then convincing them for which they should be convinced first.

Can I just pose a question,how many adult couple once fallen in love will say it to der parents immediately...esp in indian society
..any relation takes tym to get nurtured nd flourish isn't it ..so once both r comfortable nd they r vry pakka yes we r made for each other ...will confront der parents @if der atmosphere in home is freee nd parents r really lyk frnds to them ( indeed very less ,remote chances in indian families)...jab ladki ke liye rishta aane lagta hai den boyfriend gears up nd say it ...
Religion,language nd background ,profession all plays an important role in marriage (arranged or love marriage) ...
Telling der parents is vry hard task until do or die position don't come up ...nd here dev is person who had immense faith Ki whenever he will say abt sona ...ishwari is not going to refuse because she also likes sona...nevertheless he doesn't know abt the insecurities she hold for her son .nd he feels Ki her happiness lies im him .

Your first line itself says it all. Completely agree with ur view. Couple need time to understand each other completely before rushing into marriage bcoz once parents get involved, marriage discussion starts. Few days after confession and Dev needed reassurance about their relationship from Sona again after their first disagreement (Second rain sequence). Easy to handle love, u r only dealing wid one person but wid marriage u need to manage expectations of both families.

Look at whats happening with Neha n Ranveer. They love each other but since they have not spent sufficient time with each other, they lack understanding and trust. Sona already feels that Dev's family is her own now whereas there is no bonding between Neha n Ranveer's family and clearly no trust between Dev n Ranveer.

Also during Nuts phase, Dev was worried abt getting married b4 Neha so maybe he was waiting for Neha wedding ceremonies to get over. But now the family will get another jhatka when Neha wud not want to adjust n another reason for Dev to postpone sharing this with his mother.

Like in last episode Sona was feeling guilty abt not telling her parents, I hope we will see Dev's reason also.

I understand getting and taking things slow. See, it is very normal to meet a person and fall in love and keep your relationship away from your family until you both are ready...I fully understand that

But, this is normal normal if lying and purposely hiding stuff doesn't come in place. Come on, Sona is not some random girl...she practically lives in his house.

Dev should not be lying to his mom about where he was and even going to the extent of hiding Sona in the bathroom so Mami doesn't see her.

So what if Mami sees her in Dev's room and asked? Can't they just say they are just discussing.

When it is too much, and the family ask questions, they can say they like each other, but are still trying to get to know each other. Both can talk to their families individually not as a couple...and let them understand no pressure.

Right now, everything seems so childish. As grown ups...at these age, I am sure even in India, parents know that their kids can go into relationship, but still not marry, so I don't think anyone will pressure them. both have a modern family...right?
