Ranveer to prepare for Alauddin Khilji (Padmavati)

EXCLUSIVE: Ranveer Singh is Moving into his Bachelor Pad in Suburban Mumbai

Just hours after arriving in Mumbai from a vacation in France, buzz is that Ranveer Singh is set to move into his new bachelor pad in the Goregaon area of suburban Mumbai.

The actor who is set to play Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's new film based on the life of Rani Padmavati will prepare for his role from within the confines of his own bachelor pad.

Known to cut off from the world while preparing for historical roles, the actor, we hear, will have no visitors except for his assistant, personal trainer, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and key members from his team. "Ranveer is very methodical; he will gather all the material available and then move into a shell to live the life of his character. When he was preparing for Bajirao, he had checked into a suite at Taj Lands End for more a week. He barely met or spoke with anyone at this time except for speaking to his mother on the phone," says a friend of the actor.

In the next couple of days, Ranveer will be photographing with Befikre co-star Vaani Kapoor for magazine covers before he slips into the look of Alauddin Khilji. "He will have to wrap all his Befikre commitments by mid-August and then move on to Padmavati," adds a source from Yash Raj Films.

Ranveer and Deepika Padukone start taping for Sanjay Leela's new historical film this September.

Hope he plays him with a restrained sort of terror, although I know there is no-one apart from DP who can play Padma, I wish they weren't repeating her because she does not act well in period movies (or the only one she has done till now, BM) but for Veer's Khilji & SLB's visuals, this too I shall see at the cinema! Gooo Veerr! 😃

I dont like ranveer as khijli , somehow I wished he would have been rajput ruler married to padma , SLB would completely sideline rawal ratan singh's character but ratan singh' character is not really that challenging so obviously ranveer would not do that

I wanted someone new to play khijli , sorry ranveer fans 😛
