So the background is revealed. I am not sure that i can figure this out. He is just so intense. Punishing himself, to exorcise her words to him. Her words were the only one that could hurt him to this extent. But he still felt the need to punish her before she stood up to him. He even punished Arpita when he made the decision to marry her despite loving Aarti. Insanity.
Yet Arpita, seemed to like it rough, so what the heck i suppose. Luckily she was the the one that at lease a semblance of saniity back for a brief amount of time. But the the moment that Aarti appears in his life, back to square one. 😕
I understand how Aarti felt. Surely you can't be secure in your love it has to be kept a secret. But i still don;t agree with her method of making choose fight of flight. And it backfired on her. Still no sympathy there I'm afraid. And i don;t think she should have made him choose her over his studies. If she loved him, she could have waited. I still feel that she had to bare some guilt in all of this.
Did she deserve his chosen punishment. Of course not. The was the worst kind of humiliation that a woman could endure. Yet once again, she endured it, because of her crazy love for him and the passion that they she couldn't resist.
A strong capable man like him, felt vulnerable and insecure even over a dead man. And again my stance is that Aarti is to blame. he never felt like he was her priority and that Prashant took presedance over him. And is seemed sex is the only way he know to deal with his love problems.
Until of course she stands up for herself. That came about in a nice twist. He stands up for her against his parents and then she gets mad at him for doing that. Knowing how those peoples will turn on their evil screws and make her life even more hell. And that was the catalyst in them finding each other again. Acknowledging their need for and to each other. Then he feels so guilty that he can't even touch her. Not even when she wanted to. Not even when the issues were resolved. Until she had to use his own tactics on him and then he was the one that could not resist.
