ArHi OS: Love in Space!

Hello people. I have come back after a long time and thought a unique concept of making Arnav and Khushi meet in space! 😃

Love in space!

Khushi Kumari Gupta, a 26 years old Electrical Engineer felt really awesome today. Today she have come in ISS (International Space Station) for the new expedition as a Junior Engineer and she really felt proud to be the first Indian Woman and also the youngest woman in the world to visit ISS. Everything seems like a dream to her. Khushi smiled to herself that finally her dream came true.

Here everything in space station is so awkward though she had a training about all this floating stuffs for quite 8 long months in the earth but still it's hard to match with the environment in space station. Here you have no gravity pulling yourself downwards, the water keeps sprinkling all over the place, food is totally tasteless and as being a foodie Khushi Kumari Gupta misses most of her mother's handmade foods! And all those toilet things really piss Khushi off!

Day 4

It's her fourth day in the station as the Junior Electrical Engineer for expedition-675 HV which is working for many researches on mankind and on earth, she is still meeting the crews and staffs, other scientists, engineers and astronauts staying in the station and trying to do her work properly. Maximum of them are quite aged and they are treating her like their own daughter. Khushi is extremely happy to find a home-like place even in the space.

Miranda Johnson, an astronaut from Australia told her to go to main control module to visit the main controlling system of ISS and also accompanied her to the module. Khushi had heard that she is not the only Indian in the space station. She is very fortunate not only to meet all the famous scientists and Engineers all over the world but also the famous scientist cum Aeronautics Engineer Arnav Singh Raizada who is 34 and who is also Indian and lived most of his life in USA.

Khushi entered into the main controlling module and met Arnav Singh Raizada.

Khushi: Hello Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada. I was very eager to meet you. Didn't think that we will meet here.

Arnav: Oh it's nice to meet to you here too Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta. First, many many congratulation to you for making up to here. Not everyone at their age of 26 can came to International Space Station. You are mind blowing! I have read your all research papers and believe me they are amazing! Really I am so much impressed with your works.

Khushi: Sir, you are embarrassing me. That's nothing compared to your work! Actually I was inspired by your work. Despite you are an aeronautical Engineer, you kept a very significant role in Electrical sector. They were awesome specially your research in Bio-transformation technology in help of cancer patients. I loved it so much.

Arnav: Haha. Okay, so let me show you the main controlling system of ISS.

Arnav showed her ISS's controlling system and they did some work and in a few days they became very good friends to each other.

Day 22

Arnav saw her working in her station and thought to chit-chat with her.

Arnav: Hey Khushi. What's up?

Khushi: oh Hi Sir. I am good. How are you?

Arnav: Hey, I thought we are good friends. Why do you still call me Sir?

Khushi: Ermm... you are my senior. How can I...

Arnav: Just call me Arnav'. It doesn't matter I am your senior or what! I am your friend after all.

Khushi kept hesitating but at the end she agreed.

Arnav: You know my Hindi is so bad! My sister tried a lot to teach me Hindi when I was in USA but you know I am terrible in Hindi. So I was thinking why don't we communicate in Hindi when no one's around us? You can teach me also.

Khushi: of course. Why not? Actually I also miss Hindi a lot. After all in home I barely speak English. I love Hindi a lot.

Arnav: Okay then. So how are you feeling in ISS? Is everything good? I mean are you comfortable here? I do know that at first everything seems so awkward with zero gravity but still...

Khushi: No, I am absolutely fine here. It's just that I miss shower so much. It's been 28 days I have not showered!! I can't believe this!

Arnav: Haha. And It's been quite 8 months since I had showed.

Khushi laughed a lot. Passing time with Arnav is such a beautiful thing!

Day 56

It's been like 2 months and Khushi misses being in earth like hell though she can see the blue earth through the window of space station all of the time. She had been away from her family for a long time when she had been doing her researches in Australia and USA but still being thousands of miles away from the earth has made her heart cry all of the time. The only relief from her heavy load of works like checking all equipment and maintain the power system of the station with her fellow engineers, is passing time with Arnav and others.

She doesn't know why she likes Arnav so much. He is very masculine, 6 feet tall, fair complexion, a nice stubble, allover a good looking guy to attract any lady. But throughout her life she had never been like this. She was a meritorious student, never thought of love, got into IIT in Electrical Engineering, then University of Victoria and then finally NASA. Now when most of her dream came true, she found out that she had been fallen in love with her fellow companion in ISS!!

Arnav! Though she misses her family like hell, she doesn't know why the thought of starting a family with Arnav makes her heart dance all of the time. She believes that she is not that much ugly, actually beautiful, way too beautiful which her sister Payal says, a little healthy from childhood because of her mom's super tasty foods which she misses so much in space! She notices that she is becoming a little thinner after coming here!

She was talking with Arnav that day and finally thought to confess her feeling and tell him some truth of her life.

Khushi: Ermm... Arnav I think I need to tell you a truth about myself.

Arnav was planning to tell her about how he sees her not only as companion in space station but also his companion throughout his life, yes, he loves her too and he knows that she too loves him but stopped when heard her.

Arnav: Yeah?

Khushi: Arnav, I am not 26.

Arnav: Huh?

Khushi: I am actually 28. When I was 6, I used to look like a girl of 4 I don't know why and during admission in a school, Mom change my date of birth. So yeah, I am actually 28.

Khushi said lowering her head.

God! Arnav thought she would tell she loved someone else or blah blah blah. Here she is telling she is two years elder than which everyone think her so! Gosh! He had a good laugh!

Arnav: Haha. Khushi Khushi Khushi, that just doesn't matter!

Gosh, he can't stop laughing!

Arnav: Khushi, I think you also need to know something about to me.

Khushi: Ermm... What?

Arnav: I am planning to get married after I go to India if God wills.

Oh No! Khushi felt her eyes filling with tears. And damn! The tear water keeps filling her eyes because of no gravity! Arnav is going to get Married! Hell No!!!

Khushi: Ermm... That's good, isn't it?

Arnav: Actually it is. I have already selected the girl and I don't know if she will agree when I propose her. What do you think Khushi? Will she agree?

Khushi: Yeah! Why not?! After all you are good looking and mostly you are so so so much successful! Any girl will agree to marry you!

She tried to fake a smile forcefully on her face!

Arnav: And I am planning to propose her in space. Will it be good?

Khushi: Yeah!! That will be awesome! First marriage proposal in space in the history of mankind! Haha..

God! Why does it pain so much in her heart! As if her blood circulation has stopped though her blood is continuously flowing towards her head!!

Arnav: So what do you think if I propose her now?!

Khushi: Huh? What?? Arnav... What are you...

She saw Arnav floating through the air inside of the space station and opening the communication module in some screens of the station and in a few seconds she can see some people through the screens. Gosh! It's her parents and her sister Payal and 3 unknown people looking at them!

Arnav: Hello Aunty. Hello Uncle. Hello Payal. How are you?

Garima (Khushi's mother): We are fine Beta. How are you?

Arnav: I am also good. I am sorry that I kept you waiting for long time. Actually we were working...

Sashi(Khushi's father): It's okay Beta. Now why are you waiting? Do it!

Arnav felt little embarrassed and saw the other screen.

Arnav: Mom, Dad, Di, Hi. Do you like your Bahu?

Rajshri(Arnav's Mother): Of course we do Beta. Now propose her before she pass out in confusion. She looks like she is going to be sick!

Rajshri laughed looking at Khushi who has no idea about what is happening!

Arnav turned to Khushi and said,

Arnav: Khushi, I know you are very confused. But it's like that I like you actually I think I have fallen in love with you. I had communicated with your family and they like me too except Payal said I am little older than you. Sorry Payal, but you told once that I am old which I am not. I am 34, as old as you are!

Payal laughed looking at the screen.

Arnav: My family also know about you and after knowing about you they also liked you a lot. So here, I am proposing you in front of my and your family. Will you marry me? Don't try to slap me because I am recording everything happening here and this is telecasting in media in earth right now because our fellow astronauts planned it.

Arnav was nervous like hell! Is Khushi really going to say No and slap him when the whole world is watching them?!

Khushi's head was spinning! Here she is miles away from the earth and this man is trying to kneel in front of her in a zero gravity place and proposing her! Hell!!!!

Khushi: Arnav, I think you need to stop recording and disconnect the communication module.

Arnav: Ermm... Why? (Is she really saying No' then???!!!)

Khushi (Whishpers): Because... because... I want you to ... Want you to ... Errmm... I want to hug you and I don't want the entire world to see we are hugging for the first time!!! (She said in one breath!)

Arnav switched off all the communication module after giving a bright smile to their family and hugged her tight!

Arnav: Thanks Khushi!

Khushi: But you did not properly that you love me!

Arnav: I love you! I love you! I love you!!!

Arnav kissed her on her forehead and was about kiss her on her lips when he notices that he had not switch off the recording. He does that and floats towards Khushi who was floating in front of him with a bright bright bright smile on her face.

After 5 months

Today after the last expedition, Khushi, Arnav and their two fellow astronauts were coming back to earth. It was hell of a journey and an exciting one. Arnav and other 2 people had already had the journey of coming back to earth before and for Khushi this the first time! She doesn't know whether she will be able to make it to earth or not. But still she is happy! Last 5 month working in ISS and spending time with Arnav has been the best time she had ever had!

May be they are the first people in the history of mankind who fell in love in space! They are getting married in three months after they reach earth. In the time of staying in ISS, they were really shy to express their love to each other though they made out for a few times which include kissing and hugging, nothing beyond that and it's really awkward to kiss each other that too floating inside of the station!

After the risky journey to earth, their capsule lands in an open field of Brazil. In a few minutes the groups from NASA came to rescue them and brought them out for medical treatment. Khushi saw Arnav who have spent more than a year in space is now lying on the couch provided by the team and looking at the green field. It feels amazing in the earth, breathing in the open air and looking at the man with whom she is going to spend rest of her life! Khushi sighed! After living a long time in space, they are feeling too heavy and they literally can't sit without any help, let alone walking!

Suddenly Arnav hold her hand and said,

Arnav: I can't believe we are home!

Khushi: Yeah, me too! I can't wait when I will go to India next month!

Arnav smiled.

Arnav: And I can't wait to see you as my bride! Khushi, promise me, you will always stay with me, always be my strength!

Khushi: Always!

Their love which started in space finally found home!
