I was so much into Om's fandom, but finally seeing the huge list of girls in that list I decided to focus Rudra as that had the lowest competition, but today I feel my decision was the best 😉 😉

Well jokes apart, today I feel that for the first time Rudra's character was shown in depth. Till date he was shown as a playboy, a comic relief and a kid, but today for the first time he was shown as a mature person. His dialogue "Bhaiyya main idiot nhi hoon said it all"

Since his childhood it was only Shivaaye and probably Om who had been protecting and shielding him from all the negativity in his home, they always considered him as a child and pampered him, teased him and held him, in this journey however they did not realize when Rudra actually grew up, never have they discussed some serious issues him, (the most serious discussion that he might have been a part of would have been if or not Shivaaye should marry Tia) they still feel that Rudra is too young to get into all these, but this actually is not the truth, Rudra understands what is family is (maybe unaware of some harsh secrets or about Swetlana), he however exhibits his ignorance.

He probably understands that his brothers like to see him that way, as an idiot, a sweet innocent fool and child whom they have protected and he behaves to them exactly in that way. For both Om and Shivaaye there is practically nothing to "Happy" about, the only thing/person which can make them smile is Rudra's stupidity and that is what he brings up to them. Whenever he feels that his brothers are arguing, he comes up with a stupid problem (like weight, hunger etc.) for solution as he knows that his brothers would forget everything else and start thinking about him, whenever he feels any of his brother is sad, he just reaches them with a stupid plan and all their sorrow just vanishes and they become a part of that plan.

He wants his brothers to believe that they have succeeded in preventing him from the darker side of the Oberoi mansion. He knows that his brothers think about him before they think of themselves (or even each other) and hence shows himself as self obsessed (face pack etc.)

Moreover I think that he understands that he owes his childhood to Om and Shivaaye his two elder brothers who never had that, but somewhere deep down their heart they still want it back and Rudra just makes them live their childhood through his activities.

While we had been commenting on how Om and Shivaaye are still kids in their hearts with a mature outside attire, Rudra is perhaps a very mature and strong at heart with a childlike behavior.

I guess this character has huge strength and potential.

I don't know but it seems that Gul wants to project Shivaaye as the lead and other too as his support, but whatever she does I get attached to either Om or Rudra (not sure if I am the only one, but today I felt bad for Om and Rudra n not for Shivaaye)

Whatever he did for his brothers, his back story etc. is just not enough for me to accept him as the best No offence to the actor, but still it is difficult to connect with him(forget being Ram, he isn't even Vibhishan for me

You're not alone, I've been more attached to Rudra than the others since the beginning 😆 I like all the brothers but you can't stop yourself from developing a soft spot for one of them specifically, I guess. And that's a nice analysis of of Rudra's character, so far.

I think he is naturally innocent and childlike (I mean, even while having a panic attack, he believed that him praying to angels is what has caused all of this for Shivaay) but he likes to flaunt these traits of his sometimes in an exaggerated fashion just to make his brothers smile. It's quite endearing, imho.

And yes, as you mentioned I believe that he's more perceptive than he is given credit for. I always wonder whether he really has no idea about Svetlana- I mean, the way Pinky doesn't tire of reminding Jhanvi of her "half sauton" it wouldn't be surprising if Rudra knew though, maybe he doesn't take Pinky too seriously. But he does know about the tensions between his parents.

The brothers take in certain roles in each other's lives and I guess Rudra is something like a light in the darkness for the other Oberois. Btw, do we know the ages of the brothers? I remember that there was a promo in which it was said that Rudra goes to college, so he should be pretty young? (And somehow, I have 30 in mind for Shivaay, something Dadi mentioned, but I think I might be wrong here, lol).

I hope that Om and Rudra are not sidelined. I mean, the story revolves around the brothers, their love for each other is the essence so, they should all be given equal importance. Even the actors say it's a male-oriented show since the main leads are the three brothers. It might be that the reason that there's such a focus on Shivaay right now is that since the show just began, they are trying to get in viewers through Nakul's popularity and once the show has established itself, they'll balance it more.

Anyway, nice post 😊

I really hope that CVs do not ignore him and Om.

If it was about the popularity of Nakul, the this forum is enough an example to show that as on date Kunal's popularity is probably higher than that of Nakul, not just here, even most of my friends find Kunal as great. Nakul (no offense to his fan's) is just a hangover of PKDHMM fandom. In fact some of his loyal viewers are also changing sides.

I don't know but these days the show is becoming Shivaaye chanting serial (hailing or booing)

I love ObBros and Rudra is my favourite from the very first episode...without him an episode is dull for me...he is the one who brings the light in the show.
He is such an adorable character...my love for this character grew by leaps and bounds after yesterday's episode..yesterday's epi proved that Rudra is not a one dimensional character and has layers.
His break down, his scene with Om , his convo with Saumya everything was amazing and Leenesh nailed it in all those scenes
Even I want that all the 3 bros should get equal space and no oneshould get sidelined after all it is a show about 3 bros and it should remain that only...this is what brought us here in the first place...The story of 3 brothers.
I strongly feel that love stories should be in the background and the brothers bonding and relation must be in the foreground.
I want the focus to remain on the brothers and their bond..Their love stories should be shown but then show must not completely revolve around them.

Leneesh is such a great actor, I couldn't have imagined him in such an emotional scene before yesterday.

Also yesterday Om's character was shown in a new light, we had always seen him as a emotional and vulnerable person, but yesterday he turned out to be the pillar of strength, I loved the scene when he was just about to break after knowing about the poison attack thing, but then he saw Rudra having a panic attack and he immediately controlled himself and went for Rudra's rescue. Kunal carried out that scene so beautifully- a change of expression from emotionally shattered to a brave and strong hearted support. Seems all the brothers have a specific role in each others life but they are not bound by it, they can switch roles as and when need arises. Yesterday Om was the one giving strength to Rudra, Dadi and even Pinky.

I really hope that your point is true and Om and Rudra do not get sidelined.
