Well jokes apart, today I feel that for the first time Rudra's character was shown in depth. Till date he was shown as a playboy, a comic relief and a kid, but today for the first time he was shown as a mature person. His dialogue "Bhaiyya main idiot nhi hoon said it all"
Since his childhood it was only Shivaaye and probably Om who had been protecting and shielding him from all the negativity in his home, they always considered him as a child and pampered him, teased him and held him, in this journey however they did not realize when Rudra actually grew up, never have they discussed some serious issues him, (the most serious discussion that he might have been a part of would have been if or not Shivaaye should marry Tia) they still feel that Rudra is too young to get into all these, but this actually is not the truth, Rudra understands what is family is (maybe unaware of some harsh secrets or about Swetlana), he however exhibits his ignorance.
He probably understands that his brothers like to see him that way, as an idiot, a sweet innocent fool and child whom they have protected and he behaves to them exactly in that way. For both Om and Shivaaye there is practically nothing to "Happy" about, the only thing/person which can make them smile is Rudra's stupidity and that is what he brings up to them. Whenever he feels that his brothers are arguing, he comes up with a stupid problem (like weight, hunger etc.) for solution as he knows that his brothers would forget everything else and start thinking about him, whenever he feels any of his brother is sad, he just reaches them with a stupid plan and all their sorrow just vanishes and they become a part of that plan.
He wants his brothers to believe that they have succeeded in preventing him from the darker side of the Oberoi mansion. He knows that his brothers think about him before they think of themselves (or even each other) and hence shows himself as self obsessed (face pack etc.)
Moreover I think that he understands that he owes his childhood to Om and Shivaaye his two elder brothers who never had that, but somewhere deep down their heart they still want it back and Rudra just makes them live their childhood through his activities.
While we had been commenting on how Om and Shivaaye are still kids in their hearts with a mature outside attire, Rudra is perhaps a very mature and strong at heart with a childlike behavior.
I guess this character has huge strength and potential.
I don't know but it seems that Gul wants to project Shivaaye as the lead and other too as his support, but whatever she does I get attached to either Om or Rudra (not sure if I am the only one, but today I felt bad for Om and Rudra n not for Shivaaye)
Whatever he did for his brothers, his back story etc. is just not enough for me to accept him as the best No offence to the actor, but still it is difficult to connect with him(forget being Ram, he isn't even Vibhishan for me
