Fun Familial Feels

Hey there! Look who's finally back?! I would have been back sooner but it's literally wedding season over here. I had so many weddings to attend and if I dare as even to think of dropping a ball on any one of those, a pretty uncomfortable questionnaire about why I chose to bail on it would follow. Also, my mom kinda sorta told me that the dress I decided to wear to the most recent one was no less than a garbage bag. In my defense, I found it to be quite hip, but then again mom is mom so I spent my sunday afternoon a roaming around the city looking for a new dress.

Enough about me though, I think you got the gist of it. I'm gonna get right into the middle of things and start with the fangirling.

About the title, today's episode was all about family, be it Anika and her brother or the Oberoi clan and alliteration is so cool!

Coming to the real deal, Tia was engulfed in overseeing the enagement preps and in all honesty, she seems like a genuine person but the way she kept everyone on a short leash, causes a little worry to me. She is very picky and wants only perfection. The way she was adamant to settle only for the cake, Anika made got me thinking. If this girl is hell bent on getting a cake of her choice, will she let the man of her dreams slip away easily? She has her heart set on Shivaay, I don't know if she'll handle the rejection well. Let's face it, a rejection is on the cards now that a new love story has been set in motion by the universe.

My babies Omkara and Rudra were betting on how soon will the petite Tia, have an anger outburst. Omakara is so cute, I'm a puddle of emotions right now. And big brother walked right in, overhearing his brothers. That whole scene was so cute! And just when you think it can't get any better, cus let's be realistic, those THREE in ONE FRAME is the best thing, the volcano erupts and boy, she was all over the place. And Shivaay had a look worth watching on his face. Here he was advocating for her pointing out how calm she is and there she went all rogue on the poor girl.

Rudra earned big bucks because of Tia. He should thank her.

Crossing over to the other side, Anika prepares for her brother's birthday. He is the reason she is doing all this. She wants him to have a better life and is doing everything she can to ensure the same. Shivaay and Anika are more similar than they think. Both of them, rank their siblings on a higher pedestal than themselves and do everything in their power to see them happy and content.

Shivaay and Anika, both strong individuals can go to any extent for their siblings, even as much as pick up fights for them. Who they pick up fights with maybe different but 'why' they do so, is one and the same.

Fights so remind me of Mr Tej Oberoi, the man is ice cold. For him, anyone who stands between him and his money, be it his own flesh and blood, is a threat. Naturally, a money minded and power hungry person like him could only arrive at that one conclusion of Shivaay marrying Tia, only for elevating his status and monetary gains, because that's something Tej himself would do. For him, money and power outrank love and affection. Whereas the latter matters more to his son, Omkaara. Omkaara and Tej share ideologies that are poles apart and this along with many others, is a cause of the rift between the father-son duo. Today, Omkara stated it expressly that Tej is the one to be blamed for ruining his childhood, as a kid one always looks up to one's father and tries to follow their footsteps and be more like him in life, but all Omkara ever saw was a man drunk with power with very less to no time for his kids and wife. He witnessed his mother slowly ruin her life and find solace in alcohol while his father couldn't care less.

Growing up as a product of a loveless marriage, Om only had his brothers and his grandmother to truly call his own and the love they showered him with, stays with him still.

While Tej was partially correct about Shivaay's desicion of marrying Tia to not be one out of love or affection of any kind, he was gravely mistaken in stating it to be an attempt in getting ahead in kife leaving his brothers behind, something Omakara pointed out without fail.

My bae was spitin' truth like fire. HE MADE ME PROUD TODAY. My dil is very happy.

Coming to another thing I tried to reason with. Shivaay clearly has no romantic inclination towards Tia but still wanted her to get the cake she wanted for the engaement and was going to make sure of that any any cost. The Shivaay Singh Oberoi, traveled among people he thinks are lesser to him just to get Tia's wish fulfilled. I guess that's because he is Shivaay and his pride can't handle the idea of not tasting success in something he embarkes upon, even if it is to get a cake. He wants to win and getting that cake means victory to him, victory at fulfilling his fiance's wish. He is far from being in love with her.

Anika insulted Shivaay for hurting her brother, even though it wasn't intentionally done. She will pick up a fight with anyone for his sake but this time, I could see the anger in his eyes. His ego is hurt and a wounded lion is more dangerous. Also the threat seemed very threatening lol. She knows he can make her life hell, yet she won't back down from a fight, he made fun of her brother and that is reason enough to take the bull by its horns.

About the precap though, Pinky and Tej have played their cards well. It's all gonna zero down on Janvi and she'll be in the center of the mess that will lead up to the partition drama. Sadly, she is the only ond who looked rather surprised at the turn of events out of the four.

This was really long and a bit all over the place but again, Jessi threatened me and her threats are serious lmao. Looking forward to hear back from you.

And I am glad about one thing that both Shivaay and Anika face equal amount of family troubles. Kind of makes a balanced stuation.

I am worried about the partition thing, though I have a feeling the brothers will come up with something.

And yeah, Jhanvi was the only one apart from Dadi and Shivaay that looked worried and disbelieving at the declaration.

Uff...what a family!
