As Aditya Narayan saunts into the crowded conference room in his red printed tee, diamond studs and designer glasses, heads turned.

Son of musician Udit Narayan, Aditya a budding musician himself confesses to being outspoken and friendly in real life. "Dad and I are very similar in many ways, but we have different characteristics in our personalities as well,", he smiles.

The 20-year-old's confidence in himself and his work never ceases to amaze you. A child actor and singer, Aditya is currently anchoring a music show on television. And by March he will start working on his debut album as a singer.

Did he always want to be an anchor? "I am passionate about music, but I never thought about anchoring a show. It just came by chance but I have put in a lot of hard work to reach the position I am in today," he says. Stepping into a show which had heavyweights, like Sonu Niigaam and Shaan as anchors, was it tough for Aditya to begin with? "I have been myself in the show and whatever you saw in the show was what Aditya is like. I have enjoyed every minute of the show and I am glad I was a part of it. Singing is my first love, but it's the audience's love is what that matters to me the most," he says.

Aditya has just completed a diploma in English contemporary music from London. Talk to him about music and Aditya can't stop gushing. "I crave to perform in front of the audience, it's not because of money, it's because I love music to the core." For someone who's so young, has success changed his way of life? "There have been times when I can't cater to all my audience, some understand while others don't. Once I couldn't sign an autograph and a fan told me that from now onwards he would start watching the music show on a rival channel,", he explains.

Aditya has a sizeable female fan following and loves all the attention he gets from them. Last time when he was in Ahmedabad, a girl kissed him on stage and he was absolutely okay with that. "I don't mind female fans kissing me, but guys are a definite no-no." He clarifies the rumours of his friendship with aspiring musician and contestant Mauli Dave and continues to claim that they are just good friends who get along well. "If I would have been close to a male contestant, then people wouldn't have talked at all, just because both of us are young and single, everyone started talking,"he avers.

And, Aditya insists that he might have many movie offers, but he's not talking about them yet! While for his debut movie, he wishes to act with someone like "Deepika Padukone."
We told you, he's ambitious!
