I have no qualms with Aaradhya trying to bond with her biological family. But she is going overboard in the process. And humiliating/abusing her foster family (whatever be the reason) is simply abominable. I'm not at all happy with the creatives.
She has been portrayed as so lecturing about "devdaasi" traditions and (majority of the times)women being forced without their consent etc. etc. in that college debate. She has herself literally lived the superstitions & the trauma associated with this tradition. She is well aware how society looks upon them. She was all hurt when Aryan was calling her "devdaasi" 24X7, not long back. Now, once she is out of the league, she is using the same abusive & derogatory terms towards Tulsi & Kumudini. Not at all consistent with her character sketch.
In Friday's episode, she blatantly put the whole blame of her auctioning on Kumudini, when she is very well aware that her biological grandfather has arranged the whole thing. Instead of putting her foot down, she is all "abasaheb" all the time; running behind him and digesting all the tortures/humiliations (of her & her foster family) like a mute robot. Double standard, isn't it !!! Creatives are actually butchering her character.

Coming to Shashwat, he has every right to love his biological daughter, but it seems that he has literally forgotten about his foster son, whom he has nurtured for last 22 years within a jiffy. Not once he has been portrayed as pondering over Aryan, post revelation. To be honest, I don't consider him to be a good father going by his attitude towards Aryan.

Pavitra - seems that she is not bothered about her new found daughter's happiness at all. All she wants is a cushy life for herself in PVR's place with her new found daughter by her side. Not long ago she poisoned Aaradhya in order to prove the latter as mentally unstable, so that she can throw her out of Aryan's life. She did never bother to admit/apologize for her deed post revelation. Then which mother wants her married daughter to stay in her maternal home, when the said daughter has been blessed with a husband, who is madly in love with her and a mother-in-law who has been her mom from the day she was born !!! Pavitra is selfish to her core. I simply find this character a pathetic human-being.

Got a busy day and week coming up so will try to keep my post brief

I agree that Aaru insulting Tulsi was wrong and I don't condone it either. It's was wrong and the makers have included this for some reasons unknown to us. At least we can take in comfort taht aaru still love Tulsi more than her life and from yesterday SBB segment its looked like aaru is finally standing up against PvR's injustice. Can't wait to see this fiery aaru will be back soon.

As for Shaswhat missing aryan at the moment it not very clear but he did defend on aryan'd behalf against his father and was vocal that he knew aryan would never have the house on auction. When aryan mentioned that he never forgot his 22 years upbringing - the emotional look on Shashwat face said it all. He did remain silent allowing and symphasising with his wife and daughter Gayu when they expressd their sorrows about aryan's absence and seems to share the same loss but tried to remain positive by concentrating on the remaining child aaru. I think he still love his son and we might see that in the upcoming espiodes but at the moment there too many dramas so it's seem the makers haven't focus on the indivdiuals' perspective properly.

As for Pav well yes it is better if she let aaru go...but since she just found her daughter and already lost two children aryan and the mysterious older daughter. It's understandable if she not ready to let aaru go yet even if it best to do so. Also something Pav had said about not wanting aaru to share the same fate as Saras and Gayu but is offering her support in AaRa's marriage relationship did make sense about her decisions and actions. It's seems she want her daughter to the leave Rao mansion (her real maternal home) with all the family members approval specifically PvR's. She did tried to speak to PvR about it twice recently explaining him about aryan is good, raised by them and still related to them as their damaad. Now you may ask does it matter to have all family members approval well the thing is if pav let aaru leave now then she know that by living under PvR's rules and his hatred over Aaru's in laws family - she and Shashwat and Gayu would be estranged from aaru thus sharing the same fate as Saras and that is something she is clearly not prepare to accpet. So she forces aaru to stay and this would help them to bond as a family and in her mind when PvR accept then it okay. Now if Pav doesn't let aaru go after PvR had given his consent then I would agree that she is being selfish but at the moment although it not ideal - I do understand why she is asking aaru to stay and it's does make sense as in the point of view of a daughter's mother who is also the bahu of the family. Pav is PVR's bahu and Aaru's biological mother so it's seem that she is trying to maintain the peace and uniting of their family. She is looking for a different future for their family whether it will be successful or not that is yet to be seen.

Am not saying Shashwat and Pav are right all the times because they aren't but I do understand their position and situation if we look into their social and historical contexts.

Apologies for any silly typos

@Chandrima I am in complete agreement with you. In fact, you articulated everything that I could not say. I find all the Raos very selfish, arrogant and also useless. I will never like those characters and will never be able to empathize with them unless CVs start changing them for better.

@CharmGal I love reading your posts and your analysis is a nice one but we have to agree to disagree on this one. 😊

@Juhi

Whenever I watch any show, I do try to connect and understand the characters not just the leads even other supporting characters and that help me to watch the show as a keen viewer otherwise if I couldn't understand or relate to it then I usually stop watching the show. Honestly I don't really watch many indian serials because often I couldn't comprehend their logic and storyline so it put me off most of the time. but KD does intrigue me at the moment...

And I agree we will have to agree to disagree on that one 😊 No hard feeling at all 😆

Got to go now take care my friend 🤗
