So after another tryst with Hotstar and sacrificing 214 MB, I am back. Now along with Star Network most of the movie channels are kaput as well. Seemingly apun ka toh bad luck-eech kharaab hai.😭
Anyways enough of my rants. There was an obvious furor over yesterdays episode and I couldn't help but watch the same. OCD diaries you see...and I loved yesterdays telling of the tale barring a few here and there sequences.
The episode belonged to Omkara undoubtedly. He is a man truly after my heart and after watching him I fell in love some more. He is someone who has seen a failed marriage growing up; he is someone who has seen camaraderie of convenience, he is someone who has seen consanguinity fail and fail miserably...yet he hasn't given up on love and hopes of happy future. If he doesn't hope for happiness for himself...he hasn't given up on hope for his brothers...especially Shivaay: whom he wants to be genuinely happy and free from the malicious grip of maddening power and weight of the name they carry. He feels for his brother, he has seen him shed silent tears and he knows that this weight of Oberoi name is breaking Shivaay to a point that he has no idea how to stand up. Om has been silent all along because he honestly had nothing to offer. He failed as a son when he wasn't able to ease his mother's pain. He failed as a nephew when he couldn't make his uncle and aunt leave behind their characteristic evil but he doesn't want to fail as a brother. He wants Shivaay to have his share of happiness sans any stains and he trying his level best to make that happen. You can see that Om is feeling frustrated and helpless seeing his beloved brother fall and fall deeper in the pit to guarantee their well being. It felt as though the weight of the universe was down on him, crushing him slowly and mercilessly. But he prays and hopes that Shivaay will come to him, doesn't matter in tears, but will come with his plea of his happiness. I really liked Kunal in that scene.👍🏼 He felt aghast seeing his brother mechanically going about his business and not having a time to actually stop and find love. He was good but I believe a bit more of polishing would make Kunal shine more.
Then came Shivaay and honestly my heart went out for this poor fellow.🥺 I was right in thinking that the toughest of mountain hides sweetest of water. He has been through so much that he doesn't know he has a respite at all, and with such uncertainties he has simply molded himself into being the corporate shark that he is. He for the first time let his guard down showing us that this fortress has taken massive hits since its infancy. There might have been a time when he would have tried gaining the love of his mother, when he must have tried helping his Badi Ma, when must have tried pulling his father into the action but he must have witnessed a massive defeat and now he drives on power because that is all he has seen survive. If he makes a business deal out of every relation and aspect of life then he really isn't at fault. This is all he knows that works so why not follow the same path? I had felt him to be the quintessential card-boardish material but he indeed showed that there is more to him...even if that is as plain and simple as craving for a stable relation in his life and denying the same on the surface of his being. He knows he is wrong in weighing everything with gold but he has seen nothing else works. He certainly doesn't want to go down the path Tej went by hiring a mistress, so he is committed to a business deal and we all know Shivaay Oberoi sticks to the commitments made. Nakul was back with a bang in yesterday's episode. ⭐️He was very much ill at ease with his character somehow in the beginning but with opening on Shivaay's pain he has hit the home territory and I loved it. He was so vulnerable, almost to a point of collapse that you had to like him if you didn't before and love him if you liked him before.😳
The one scene that I loved the best was Om's advice to his brother. He might be skeptical about finding a perfect relation for himself but so far he hasn't given up on love. A revelation of sorts for I thought the makers are hitting a memory impairment. Om still doesn't believe that someone is out there for him but he believes Shivaay will find a someone for himself. He rightly said:
Sach mein dhal jaatye hain kissey, Dil se doohraane ke baad. Ishq par hoga yakeen, Ishq ho jaaney ke baad.
Hopefully Om and Shivaay will find their respective other halves without going to tears and pain.
And now the Ruddy boy. God I find this youngest one to the most adorable one as well. He like the quintessential younger sibling we all have. One who drives us nuts and the one for whom we can go lengths. The opening scene where he had a face-pack on and was ranting against how he shudders at the idea of Lady Baba being his possible sister-in-law made me laugh my guts out. My younger brother is exactly the specie as Rudra. He cares about his face more than his marks and can't stand fake people. Rudra boy you are perfect.😆
Then next where he takes selfies of all sort and cringes at the fact that he has to actually answer the Lady Baba back was brilliant. All the elder of the two here would know what I mean. The pampered lots are that crazy and there is nothing, absolutely nothing that can drill sanity in them. And the biggest mystery after Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?' was solved yesterday. Rudra is Jhanvi's son! I read somewhere that he might be the illegitimate son of Tej and Svetlana. If that is indeed the case then Svetlana will try her level best to send Shivaay and Om to exile and burn down the Golden Lanka of Oberois herself. 🤔
But leaving that aside let us talk about our Ruddy boy! He was filing nails, now wasn't he? When Mustafa chor-eographer made his entry? Man I loved how this Mustafa guy/girl had been hitting on him. "Kabhii kabhii kuch connection cut jaatey hain, aur kuch judd jaatey hain, hain na?"
So now we know that he is the one who is going to play the Cupid/Kaam Deva for both Shivaay and Om. I honestly can't wait.😆
While there were the obvious things out in the open there were also some glaring undertones that are not to be missed as far as Rudra is concerned. The way he ignored the verbal jabs between Pinki and Jhanvi showed that how deeply it has all affected his psyche. You know when a child or a man shuts his eyes to the obvious and sees alternate reality to it, you know either he is not apathetic towards that scenario or is affected to the point that he shuts himself down. Rudra did not react at all, he is either deeply disturbed to a point that he does what he does to find an alternate reality or has simply turned apathetic to all the jibes that are collectively hurled from one direction to the other. Rudra has a lot to offer I believe...it'll be very interesting to see what turns and twists he takes all the while.
Okay I would like to skip over Anika and Shivaay; I find it going with the speed of light. It wouldn't really hurt if they slow down a bit and explore the psyches of both these halves of a supposed whole. That would be much better than this Speedy Singh kind of a retelling.
Navina is getting on my nerves as Tia. Couldn't they find someone better?😡
Precap is the best thing. Shivaay the rock for his brother stands up. Two cheers for the man.⭐️
And Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?😃
