PV OS - MY ONLY SUNSHINE

"Aarti, baby. I am so sorry. I made a huge mistake. I don't know what came over me. Please baby. I love you. I don't want to lose you. Please forgive me. Neda is completely out of my life now. I will never see again. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Please marry me."

She listened. It was everything that she had dreamed of hearing for months.

She had fallen in love with Prashant her first year in college. He was the guy that every girl wanted. He was always surrounded by them. She didn't think she stood a chance so she just kept her distance. But he finally did notice her. She had blossomed from a gangly, pimple faced, plump 17 year old to quite a stunner in the 3 years that she was at college. He made the first move at the colleges last fund raiser for the year in their last year. It was a dance party.

She was quite popular herself now. And she knew she looked hot. She was wearing a fitted short off the shoulder black dress with a pair of high heeled sandals. She was having a good time at the party and didn't have any shortage of partners.

She was taking a break when he came over and offered to buy her drink. She was so excited but she declined and went the ladies. Once she calmed down she came back out. He waited for her and asked her to dance.

They were together for 2 years. Till that night that she surprised him at his apartment. They had been having problems. He wanted to take their relationship the next level and she wanted to wait till they were married. She had decided that they were getting married anyway so she would give him what he wants. She wanted to surprise him at his apartment. But she was the one that was surprised. He was in bed with one of her friends.

She was devastated. She had planned her whole life around him. She demanded of him what was happening. He just declared that he didn't love her anymore. He wanted his freedom and that he was in love with Neda. It was over between them.

That moment she could only think of one thing. One place to be. One person to talk to Only he would understand. Only he could make her feel better. He was the person that she first told that she liked Prashant. He was the person that she couldn't wait to tell every single detail of what happened at the dance. He was the person she told about their first kiss and all their petty fights. He had tried to dissuade her from going to Prashant that night, but Aarti Khuranna could not be stopped once she had made her mind up. Now he was the person that she wanted. The person that would be her shoulder to cry on.

She got a cab to his flat. She didn't call him. She didn't even give it a second thought that he probably had a date. Or that he might be at the apartment with his date. He always had one. He was the original player. He had a new girl every other day. He was not the commitment type. She was the only female in his life that was constant and they were best of friends.

She frantically knocked on the door. He opened and he fell into his arms sobbing. He just held her till she calmed down.

Finally she got the words out.

"He broke up with me. He has someone else. I caught them in bed. Him and Neda."

He didn't seem surprised. But she knew that he neither liked nor trusted Prashant. So his reaction was not surprising. It was always a source of concern for her that 2 of the men that she loved most in the world so obviously disliked each other and only tolerated each other for her.

"I suppose you going to say "I told you so"."

"You know me better than that, Sunny."

"But you never liked him."

"No, but that does not mean I will gloat when he breaks your heart. You know I only want you to be happy."

"Why didn't you warn me?"

He just gave her a look. It said it all. He had warned her. From the very beginning. He had told her that Prashant is superficial. That the fact that he only noticed her now spoke volumes. He told that she should think long and hard about giving herself to him.

But she was so scared of losing him that she took that drastic step. She had been prepared to give him her virginity just to keep him. And he wasn't even faithful. But maybe if she had when he wanted to, things would have been different.

"Yash, do you think ..."

"No, I don't think things would have turned out differently if you had slept with him."

He always knew what she wanted to say.

"But ..."

"But nothing. He should have been honest with you."

"Not everyone is like you Yash Scindiya. Not everyone is commitment phobic and tell women within the first 5 seconds of meeting that you only want sex and not a relationship."

"Really Sunny?"

"Well not like that, but you know what I mean."

"I am upfront and if I don't force anyone."

"But the poor girls all think they will be able to change you."

"That is not my problem."

"What do you think I should do, Yash?"

"I think that you should forget that a*****e and move on with your life."

"But I love him."

"Sunny, you will get over it."

"No, I won't. He is the man I want to marry. I want to spend the rest of my life with him."

He got up and went to the kitchen and got some water out of the fridge. She followed him and she could see that his whole demeanour was one of rage.

"Yash, why are you angry."

He banged the bottle down on the kitchen counter.

"Are you f ... freaking crazy." he never swore in front of her and the fact that he almost did spoke volumes.

"The man cheated on you. He was in bed with another woman. A friend of yours. He showed no remorse and he told you he wanted to be with her. And you still want to be with him. If you go back to him, you will get what you deserve."

"You are being unfair."

"Unfair? On who?"

"On him. Consider the facts, Yash. He is a man. He needed more than I gave him. She was prepared to give it to him. He will come to his senses."

"When? When you sleep with him?"

"Maybe."

"I can't even believe that you still prepared to do that. Are you so desperate for him? Why Aarti?

Aarti, he never called her that. He called her Sunny or Sunshine.

"I love him."

"I think you should go home now."

"Why."

"Because, this pathetic individual that I see in front of me is not the girl I know. It is not my best friend. She is not the one with hopes and dreams to become a world renowned fashion designer. All she wants to be a good lay for an a*****e.

Before she knew it, she slapped him.

They stared at each other. Both of them seething in anger.

Finally she went to collect her bag and left.

She was even more devastated now. Not only has she lost the love of her life but also her best friend. She went home and had a shower and crept under the blankets and cried. She didn't see him for 2 months after that.

Then one day a bunch of yellow sunflowers arrived for her. She smiled. She knew who it was from. The card said.

"I'm sorry Sunshine. I can't tolerate it when someone causes dark clouds over my Sunshine. It unleashes a storm in me. But now the storm has raged and I am calm and need my Sunshine in my life again. Pretty please?"

She laughed out loud and hugged the card. She called his number.

"Forgiven?" he answered.

"Forgiven" she said.

"Movies at my place tonight."

"No date?"

"Yes, with my Sunshine."

She laughed.

"Chick flick?"

"No, Action"

"No, Chick flick"

"Romcom?"

"It's a date."

"You bring the food."

"You are a cheap ass date,"

"Are you putting out?"

"Of course ... NOOOT!"

"Then I am a cheap date."

"See you later."

"Sorry, my Sunshine. I love you."

"I love you too. You are forgiven."

She got the food and went to flat. He was not there yet but the doorman let her in. He knew her very well and he had a bit of a crush on her. It was quite cute.

She was cooking cause when he says bring the food, it means that he wants a home cooked meal. And she loved to cook for him. She had been cooking for him since they were both children.

They were neighbours. So they were always in each other's lives. His mother had left him and his father when he was just 5 years old. She was 2 at the time. So her mother took care of him when his father worked. His father was a lovely man. They even ate at their house every night. She was her families little accident. Her brother Kunal was 12 and her sister Neelam was 11. They were too busy being teenagers to take any interest in their baby sister. So Yash was her playmate and protector.

She always helped her mother cook and she was in her early teens when she started cooking. And he loved her cooking most of all. When he was about 10 years old his father married again. He thought it would be best for Yash but it wasn't. She was the epitome of an evil stepmom. She treated him like dirt when his father was not around. But in front of him, she was sweet as pie. Yash wanted his father to be happy so he didn't say anything. So he would still be at the Khuranna's most of the time. And because both him and his stepmom wanted this, he went to boarding school.

They missed each other terribly. They wrote each other all the time. She sent him drawings which was her favourite pass time and when he came home for the holidays, they were together all the time. He was more part of her family than his. He now had 2 brothers, Pankaj and Prateek that his parents doted on and he was almost invisible. Even to his father.

He came back after college. He was quite the hunk and it amused Aarti how girls wanted to befriend her to get to him. They get never understand that she could not find him attractive in that way. He had started his own events company. He realised he was good at it when he arranged umpteen college parties. And because he did it so well, people started asking him to arrange theirs and paid him to do it. So at 25 his business was already more successful than he had anticipated. He lived in an affluent neighbourhood and he had a home office because he still preferred to save money on office space.

"Hey honey, I'm home" he called.

"Supper is on the table." she called.

"Hmm, I can smell all my favourites."

"You only use me for me cooking skills."

"You found me out." They laughed.

"How did your meeting go?"

"Nailed it."

"As always."

"As always."

"Let's eat."

"Yes, lets."

They chatted about general things while they ate then they cleared up. He washed the dishes and she dried.

They went to his bedroom to watch the movie and got comfortable on the bed as they usually did. She lay in his arms. It was a movie that they both actually enjoyed. It was funny enough for him and romantic enough for her. When it was finished and she wiped away her last year, he said.

"So how are you doing, Sunny?"

She shrugged.

"Has he contacted you?

"No"

"Have you contacted him?"

"No."

"Are you going too?"

"I don't know."

"I see."

"Are you going to get angry again?"

"Will it keep you away from him?"

"Probably not."

"Then no. Sunny, I don't want to see you hurt again, sweetheart."

"I know, Yash. But how do you stop loving someone?"

"I don't know. You have to ask my parents that." he laughed mirthlessly.

She squeezed his hand.

"I will never stop loving you."

"I know. You are the only one."

"No, Yash. You will find someone that will love you as much as I love you. But even more. Someone that you can marry and have children with."

"I don't need that Aarti. I have my work and my sunshine." he said and kissed her on the nose."

"I will find a nice girl for you."

"Don't you dare. Else the storm will start raging again."

"Ok,ok. You know what I want now."

"How would I know that?"

"I want jalebi. Now, let's go buy some."

"No, I not going anywhere now. You already made me watch your chick flick."

"Oh come on, I saw how you were laughing. You enjoyed it."

"Fine, get me my wallet in my tog bag over there and we will get some."

She got up and went to the tog bag. She opened and squealed.

"Jalebi!"

She ran back to him and hugged him.

"You know me so well." She kissed him all over his face as she normally did. But suddenly something changed. They looked at each other, both confused at what was happening. But as if they had no control their lips moved closer together. The kiss was sensual and sweet. His hands crept into her hair, caressing her scalp. Her hands rested on his muscular chest. Then suddenly they both realised what was happening.

They nearly jumped apart.

She rubbed her lips.

"I have to go." she said.

He didn't say anything as she walked out the door.

A week after that Prashant called to ask her to meet him. And now she was listening to him telling her that he wanted her back.

"You said you loved Neda."

"That wasn't love. It was just ..."

"Sex?"

"Yes."

"That's what you wanted from me too."

"I will wait for till marriage."

"Prashant, I have to think about it."

"Ok, I understand. I will wait for you. As long as it takes."

She was so confused. She wanted to marry him didn't she? What did it mean that she kissed Yash? He was her best friend, practically her brother. She didn't want to call him. She didn't know what to say. And he didn't call her either.

Two weeks later, she agreed to a date with Prashant. She just wanted see how she felt again. But for some reason there was just something missing. She wasn't happy as she thought that she would be. She needed to talk to him. But how could she now. She was about to tell Prashant that she wants to leave, when she saw him. As usual he had some bimbo attached to his arm. She couldn't take her eyes off him. He noticed her too and when he realised Prashant was with her, he looked disgusted. She stayed a while longer but she couldn't stand to see him with that woman that could not keep her hands off him.

"Isn't that Yash."

"Yes."

"Are you not going to talk to him."

"No."

"I thought you were best friends."

"Can we go please?"

"Can we go to my place?"

"No, I am going home."

The walked out together and she got a cab home.

Two days later she went to see him.

"Aarti. What are you doing here? And where is your boyfriend?"

"Prashant and I are not together."

"And the other night?"

"We talked."

"I see."

"Yash, we also have to talk."

"About what." he said.

"You know about what. What did that mean, Yash?"

"Nothing."

"Really, it meant nothing to you?"

"Aarti, you know how I feel about relationships. And I know is that you are a relationship kind of a girl."

"You are right. And I think I love you."

"I know."

"No, I think I am in love with you."

"You can't be. Just the other day you were in love with Prashant."

"I don't know how it happened but that is how I feel."

"No Aarti, you are just confused. I think.. I think you should go. And I don't think we should see each other for a while.

"That's it?"

"Yes, that it. I don't want a woman in my life. You are all the same. I like my life the way it is. Uncomplicated. Please go now Aarti. Don't make this harder than it needs to be.

She had no idea that those words out his mouth could hurt so much.

"Can we still be friends?"

"No, sorry. It won't be the same."

"Yash."

"Please, Aarti."

She sighed.

"Good bye Yash. I love you. I just hope that when you realise what that means it is not too late.

6 months later it was her parent's 35th anniversary. She knew he was going to be there. He could not say no to her mother. They loved each other like mother and son.

She tried to keep busy, mostly in the kitchen. She knew he had arrived.

"Aarti, did you see Yash is here." her mother said excitedly.

"Yes, Ma. I will go and greet now. I just have to help Bhabhi in the kitchen.

Their house was not huge so she could not avoid him forever. But they just basically nodded at each other.

When the party was in full swing, she snuck up to her room, making sure that no one noticed.

She sat on her bad with her bearsy, it was the teddy bear that he gave her the first time that he went away to boarding school. It was her constant companion then and still is now.

Her door opened and he came in and closed the door behind him.

She just stared at him as he walked to her. He sat next down next to her on the bed. He moved the hair that was in her face behind her ear and kissed her softly.

"I missed you" he said softly.

She just looked at him. She wasn't sure what he wanted. If it was only sex would she give it to him?

"Don't worry. I won't do that in our mother's house."

He could still read her mind.

"You always said you would never stop loving me."

She still said nothing.

"Is it too late?"

"Too late for what?" She said looking away.

"For me to say I am love with you too and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

"You don't have to feel obligated to me. You can't help for the way that I feel."

"Look at me, Sunshine."

He pulled her chin gently so that she faced him.

"I love you, I am in love with you. I can't live without my Sunshine. Will you marry me?"

"I want to."

"I sense a but."

"But you know I want forever right?"

"I want it too."

"And you know that I am not your mother, in fact any of your family members. I love you and I want to be with you always. I won't leave you, ever."

"I know. And it makes me love you more,"

"I want be your wife,"

He grabbed her and held tightly.

Thank you baby. I love you so much, I spoke to your parents. They agreed to the marriage."

"When?"

"I was here about a week ago. So now everyone is waiting for us to make an announcement,"

"What if I said no."

"I didn't want to think of that."

She gave him a gentle kiss.

"Good. Now let's go share our news."

2 monts later he carried her into his apartment.

"Welcome to our humble abode, Mrs. Scindiya." he said.

She looked at him lovingly.

"I love you."

He carried her straight to the bedroom. They had been married for a week but had stayed at his parents' house for the week. They couldn't wait to come back here.

"I am so glad we are on our own." she said,

"Yes, me too. I can't have the whole family hear how amorous my wife gets."

"Do you think your parents know you didn't have a virgin bride?"

"The question is do I care. You are mine. Our first time was perfect."

It happened the day after their engagement/her parent's anniversary.

"He had a meeting again and the doorman let her in. She cooked for him again.

He come in and knew that she was there by the smell that greeted him. He smiled and walked to the kitchen.

But he got more than he bargained for.

She was wearing nothing but an apron.

She heard him come in.

"Hello my love, hungy."

He was ravenous but not for food.

"Are you trying to give me a heart attack. Get dressed."

"I am cooking."

"So am I now." he said.

"Sit down, baby, I will dish up for you now."

He sat down in a trance, His heart was racing and his breathing was erratic.

She dished his food and she sat down next to him and fed him, her every action meant to entice him. He ate but for the first time he didn't taste anything. Finally he was done and she said,

"Time for desert.' and led him to the bedroom. She took off the apron. She came closer to him and started to undress him.

"Honey, we should wait" he said hoarsely.

"I love you. I trust you. I want to be yours now."

He knew that she meant it. What she didn't want to give Prashant for 2 years, she was offering to him now. And he couldn't resist. When he entered her, there were tears in her eyes, not because of the pain but because of the love that they were sharing. He felt guilty because of her pain. But she whispered in his ear and wrapped her legs around him, driving over the edge. It was wonderful to see her face as she soon moved along with him, pain forgotten and only pleasure being experienced. And finally they both convulsed as they reached orgasm simultaneously.

"You shouldn't have done that."

"Do you love me?"

"You know I do."

"Are marrying me?"

"You know I am"

"I am yours now and forever."

"I don't deserve you but I am never letting you go, my Sunshine. I love more and more each day."

"For that, you get a double portion desert."

"She swung him over, kissed him and was surprised that he was already erect again. She straddled him and pleasured them both till they both screamed each other's names in utter and complete bliss.

After two months of engagement and 1 week of marriage, and many amorous encounters during this period, they were ecstatically happy. Looking forward to a bright future. She with the love of her life beside her and him with his. She was absolutely everything to him. She brought life, hope and love to his life when he thought he was unlovable, she was his life, his one and only sunshine.

I am sooo frustrated that my comment did not load last night! I had given such a nice and long comment only to realize this morning that it did not actually load 😭

well Honey-Bee you seem to come up with such versatile concepts and you do not disappoint in the execution at all! this was superbly amazing and I loved every part of it!

Yash had abandonment issues because of his parents as even the only parent he had left neglected him as he settled into his new life. That really must have created a dark storm of pain within and Aarti was his beacon of light. no wonder she was his sunshine because when he felt unloved she showed him he was worthy of love. it's not surprising that she was the only constant in his life. she saw the ugly side of him but she still stayed and made him realize that not all women are like his mother. still that had such an impact on him that he was scared to commit until he could no longer ignore his feelings. it was easy to hide how he felt when she was unaware of her true heart but once she realized it she called him out on it. he tried to fight it but he just could not and now he will have his true love who will never leave him and would remain his sunshine when the storm looms... ❤️

Aarti just wanted love but she searched for it in the wrong places. she felt so desperate that she was even willing to compromise on her principles. fortunately for her she had someone in her corner willing to fight her even for her sake and made her realize she was being stupid. they may have been angry at each other but their strong bond reunited them. what was supposed to happen all along did, so naturally, without being planned and brought their hidden feelings to the fore. now Aarti could send Prashant to hell because of that one moment because her eyes had been opened. she waited, trusting in her love and he finally came for her.

Their coming together was absolutely dreamy and beautiful and of course 🤢

I absolutely loved it Coffee-Bean, keep taking your fix if this is the result, I don't mind at all 😉 😛 oh by the way, your monster name is Shameless Ware-wolf! 😆
