The way Dev described how he felt when he came to know that Sonakshi left earlier for home without resolving their earlier tension n with out informing him , " ...Khali sa ho gaya.. Jaise ki andar kuch tut gaya ho.. " with out hesitation, with out a drop of ego he can reveal his vulnerabilities to his lady .. That's an absolutely adorable thing to do.. He's not shelling his feelings any more. He'd been in self denial for just too long to do that any more.
Sona's face was worth watching. She's brimming with love , joy, pride , fondness n so many feelings at that moment... including pain n worry for what her man went through..
The beuty of this line is it just shows that all the colors from his world n life fade away if Sona goes away from him. He can NOT , simply can not tolerate being separated from her. The subconscious fear of losing her is always there at some edge of his mind .
It gives us a hint how he'll be when he himself will have to break up with her for the sake of Iswari's happiness . Imagine having to let go of the very person your heart can't bear to part with.. The sense of loss will break him , leave him shattered. 😭
