Mock N Rock Episode 23-Jun 286

Mock N Rock today chanced upon an important social issue so well hidden under the beautiful narrative of IKRS , With all attention on Kamini, the gravitational force of the show its easy to miss this one . No, not talking about the widows of Benras who were blasted in a bomb attack by the PH but the issue of children caught between egos of warring parents .

Its a slippery slope as to where and how a line should be drawn between the kids and their disagreeable parents . A track that i have complete faith will be handled with finesse very much akin to the theme of the show . I expect a BLAST on this one too.

Being a single parent is hard enough . Adding dishonesty to the equation is never a good idea. Kids surprisingly are more resilient than what their parents think them to be . They are honest beings and deserve equal honestly explained gently. The kid knows she has a dad somewhere which is good but not giving details is not only dishonest but selfish . And this is where Dhani comes in .

Vidha reminds her mom of the promise that your dad will come on your BIG day and tomorrow is one as its the first day of school . Dhani having lost the count and the stories she has made up so far looks dazed !!! Erhh no dear Vidhu you are mixing it up with the Balloon day and that is done with , gone. She is a lawyers daughter even if does not know it , Vidha argues that she wants her dad else the school deal is cancelled. Granny takes pity at her daughter who needs more time to sort her Promise List cajoles her granddaughter away for a bit.

Dhani thinks this to be the right time to pray for another kid in distress - Atharva while his dad surrounded by his toys too prays for his well being. Vip and Dhani have always had that cosmic connection and somewhere up there, where their wishes will collide and be heard. And how selfless and big hearted ..Bet this is not Vips kid and this is definitely not Dhani's kid. Yeah Kamini try and beat this one.

All spruced up mother and daughter head to the school for admission not before another lie can be told to the kid. A phone call has been placed to your dad followed by a text and he should be there. This time it is Parsiya who as been openly hinting like the jumping donkey in Shrek ( when shrek wants a friend ) - Choose Me Choose me - As her dad . Get in line my man , there have been so many suitors for Dhani in her young life that I now envy this magnet.

Big and expensive schools want parents to attend the BIG day and Viplav via this cosmic connection i just talked about , gets the message to be present at Vidha's school at the right place and right time with a cheque book. The couple introduce themselves to the principal and Dhani makes it clear that she alone is the guardian while Viplav makes it clear that he alone is the one with the mullah . The principal has seen it all thru the ages gives the couple some free advise on parenting . Well done Princi , its not going to work though sorry , not till Ishita gets a boot.. and they are let go .

Dhani needs to very soon decide what she wishes to do with her situation. YEs she is insecure that Vip might take away her daughter and he has the money and power to do so . The issue is that she cannot discuss this with him yet coz she will have to answer for much more. By the way SS next time the director asks you to look shocked can you first check out your expression ..it does not mean bulge your beautiful eyes.

Viplav you too need to do some sorting. You are married to a nagin - fortunately ( if your life is measured in trps ) or unfortunately . YOu cannot run after your ex wife wanting her for yourself. and I sincerely think your head wound is healing please take off that bandage ..you look unkept with that bandana.

Guys TBH there were some good scenes I liked the Dulaari and Vidha bonding . it seems natural. I liked Vidha sharing her joy with the neighbors and I liked Viplav giving Dhani another chance to tell Vidha as to who he is versus doing it himself. Rest was mediocre.

Hey guys do contribute as to what you see "Silly" in the episode. I'd love to hear your side. And THANKS for the encouragement to write this piece.

Disclaimer : This is my attempt to be positive and having some laughs at the idiocy of an episode . The intent is not to spread negativity or bash the show though i am very tempted.

Hi Premratan,

Yes, I am silent reader. I admire your writing and the way you analyze the episode without getting biased towards certain characters. I love Viplov's character sketch and sticking to the show due to Mishal. I think IKRS is for class viewers, but now they are trying to reach out to mass for TRPs and that is messing up storyline and execution at times.

You have a wonderful day. Nice meeting you and other forum members, all lovely people.

Thank you,

Ami

Prem, I love your subtle sarcastic comments in your takes. 😆 Today's episode was much better than yesterday's. Thankfully, the focus shifted to Vidhu and that little darling is nothing but adorable. 😊 The episode was slow, but I too liked Vidhu's scenes with Dhulari, her anticipation to meet her dad, and her scene with Viplav. From what I gather, Dhani's keeping Viplav away from his daughter for two reasons. Firstly, she's quite insecure that Viplav has the power and means to separate her from her daughter. She isn't financially or emotionally strong enough to take on the gold medalist. Ha! Gold medalist. Secondly, I'm getting the impression that Dhani indirectly wants to punish him for breaking her trust. You cheated on me, got married to her, and produced a child. Why should you have any part in my child's life? She doesn't need you. We both don't need you. Thus, she continues with her incessant rant of "Vidhu's mine and only mine. You have no right over my daughter." I agree, Prem. Raising a child as a single parent may not be impossible, but it's extremely difficult. Breaking your child's hope over and over again is difficult. The principal was right, children are often very susceptible to their environments. They understand a lot more than what we credit them with thinking that they're naive and that they'll forget. Although I understand Dhani's position, my heart breaks for this poor little girl who only wishes to be nurtured by the presence of her papa in her life.

Dazz.
Just like you and me hit coming in at school. With how much hope is asked if he is her father. And then when he said Viplav dad apologizes and your mother. Menu tears started. 😭😭I am of the opinion that he slowly realizes that Dunham has done all this for a great reason. But it does not intend to withdraw from it and from Vidhi. I think I will fight to the end and to return it to ourselves and to do her life the way it deserves. With much love you now feel towards one another and with great respect. I think it is now mature enough that he can tell the truth. The truth that he will once again destroy the world because it is his family. This same family were sent away the one person he loved more than ourselves oo it. This same family killed his father. Because i Tripurari his family. This has destroyed his family for all they are caught. I'm sorry, the very thought of it makes me tears of rage in the eyes. Because I do not deserve this kind of a family member in his family. And he was proud of Vidhu as well-bred. How many Danh is trying to learn and teach some manners. Congratulations. Proud father and proud husband. I just can not wait when it will begin to talk about their relationship.😛😛
