A Day out for the Women in White

What could have become an iconic serial turned out to be a run-of-the-mill serial. The story which started as splendid saw many twists and turns that it has now ended up in the category of kitchen politics and show a tale of how to make evil win always.

Yet, out there in the real world the ladies in white live in a pitiable state still following the old norms set by a predominantly male society.

Oh Lady !!! This is so touching ...

Makes me so sad also that this show was about a section of women who are so under served , the show was produced by a women ..and it all went down the drain.

So much could have been done..

I remember the early press conference I saw for IKRS . Kajal Nishad was asked as to why she was joing the show and she said that Women emancipation is very close to her heart and this is her way of doing something for them . High lightening their plight .

But I guess all that was lip service , not her fault though ... The channel should have not allowed the decimation of the main theme. And now I hear that even Duaari is not a real widow !!!

Thanks for sharing , hope to see things change all over South Asia for all unfortunate women forced in white... it's the first thing they should remove the white attire which separates them from society.
