"Swayam" a girl in mid-twenties called out for him
"Coming" he shouted
"We are getting late" shouted the girl "You are taking much more time than me" she said in anger
"Two minutes shar..please" swayam pleaded
"Fine! If we gate late for the engagement your brother and my sister will eat us raw" Sharon shouted
"Oh! Please...I am coming" he said and walked down the stairs
"Not bad!" she said looking at him
"After-all I am your husband I have to look good" he said and pulled her towards him through her waist
"That's true! Now leave me we are getting late" Sharon said and tried to pull herself from his grip
"I am not in a mood to leave you" he said nuzzling his face in crook of her neck and inhaling her fragrance
"You have to leave me..please Swayam" she said making a puppy face
"How can I deny you now?" he left her and she pecked him on his lips
"We are getting late! Chalo!" she said and moved towards the door
"Hey shar wait! You have worn our engagement dress?!" he asked seeing her dress
"Yup! This is and my wedding lehenga is precious for me! And it's my sister's engagement today so thought to wear this!" she said making him smile
"I love you" swayam said and pecked her forehead
"I love you too! Now come" she said dragging him into the car
"You have taken your medicines? And what about your food?" he asked in a worried tone and opened car door for her
"Haan baba! I have taken all those things! Abhi chale? Late ho raha hain!"
"Arre I can't risk my baby's life for you! Get that!" he angrily snapped at her! She is two months pregnant and not taking enough rest which she should take at this point of time
"Ohk...sorry" she murmured and they left for the engagement!
"Papa" he heard which brought him back to earth
"Haan" he said drying his tears from his corner of her eyes and plastered a smile on his face
"Guess what papa!!! I got the job" she exclaimed in happiness and hugged him
"Oh my God really!! I am so happy for you" he said and pecked her forehead
"Thank you so much dad! And chalo that devil is calling you" she said making a face
"Shut up! I have told you so many times not to call her like this" he said
"I really don't want to spoil my mood by talking about her now come I am really very hungry" she pouted
"You go I am coming" he said
"But jaldi I really don't want to spend some time with her" she said
"Haan krithika! Now go she must be waiting" he said and she left the room as soon as he left the room he removed a photo under his pillow and said
"I am sorry shar!" he kissed the photograph and slipped it under his pillow
"Swayam khana tayiaar hain" shouted someone
"Aaya Ruhi" he said and walked out the room to eat his dinner...
*Dining Hall*
"So which company you are working with?" Ruhi asked her serving him the dinner
"Rai Prakash industries" Krithika replied her making swayam cough as the food stuck in his throat hearing the industry's name while Ruhi's eyes got widened hearing the name
"You are not going to work there! Get that!" Ruhi said in anger lacing tone
"And who the hell you are to decide this?" Krithika replied her in anger
"Kriths! Control" Swayam said in a low but yet a stern voice
"Dad please! I am not going bear this any-more she made me away from my mother she made your wife away from you she made your son away from you she made my brother away from me...what else you want??" Krithika said in anger
"She was not your mother I am your mother" Ruhi shouted her lungs out
"Mother my foot! There is no relation like this between you and me!" she said and left the dining hall
"Krithika" swayam shouted
"I am not hungry dad" she replied and walked out of the house
"This girl is going out of control" Ruhi said and started to eat her dinner
"Huh?! Just shut up and eat your bloody food" he snapped at her and was following his daughter
"You can't talk to me like this! Remember! So better you eat your food" he stopped in his tracks listening her words...he returned to his place while Ruhi smirked at him he stepped forward nearer to her he got his plate and put the whole food into her plate and moved to behind
"See! I ate my dinner" he said and followed his daughter
"Urgh! You are going to pay for this" Ruhi said and started to eat her dinner
She sat down on the bench controlling her tears she has promised her-self because of her she will not shed her tears but it didn't work! Tears started to flow down she rubbed it off and looked at the sky...swayam came and sat beside she sensed his presence and hugged him without saying he hugged her back...
"You shouldn't have shouted like this Kriths" swayam sain rubbing her back
"But who is she to decide my company" she said between her sobs
"She reacted like this because it's your..." he couldn't say to her
"Mine what? Dad" she asked breaking the hug
"It was Sharon's company before we got married" he said making her shock
"Is she still the boss?" she asked her in excitement
"No" he simply replied to her making her tears roll down once again...the little hope to see her mother again was shattered
"Dad why did she left us?" she asked him controlling her tears
"It was not her fault" he said the truth to her
"Then whose?" she asked him
A silence followed then! He didn't spoke! He knew he was at fault but he doesn't want his daughter to hate him! She was the reason he is still leaving! She was his part her too! But he has breath still because she was living with him...Krithika Shekawat! He hugged her daughter and let his tears fall down and hers too! Both were missing the same persons but had to find peace in each-others solace! Father and daughter!

"Maa" Karthik shouted from his room
"Haan kya hua?" Sharon replied
"Where are you mom?" he asked leaving his room
"In kitchen" she replied and he ghastly walked towards the kitchen and sat down on the slab
"Mom you look so beautiful when you are cooking...and the dishes which are made by your hand takes me into an-other world" he said while Sharon narrowed her eyes hearing his talk
"What do you want now?" Sharon asked knowing her son well
"Huh?! Nothing! I don't want anything" he replied without any eye contact
"Karthi! Look at me and say what you want" she said and ruffled his hair
"I want you to come with me to Los Angeles" he said in eyes closed hearing she was shocked to know about it but then smiled at his son but getting no reaction from his mother he opened his one eye and saw her smiling and he smiled back at her
"Oh-kay but why?" she asked coming back to making her food
"Wahan peh new interns aaye hain so unko finalise karna hain" He said eating an apple
"Haan... I but then why should come there? There is no use of me there" she said trying to justify herself
"But maa how will I be able to leave without you?" he said making a sad face
"You are a big boy Karthi and you can survive without me!" She said
"Then you will be alone here...and I can't let you alone here...and we are going for a week only please" he pleaded to her
"I promise I will take care of my-self! And it's just for a week time! You can go! Don't force me beta please." She said making him sigh! How much he tried to take his mother from this house he always fails to do that he hugged his mother understanding her problem and left to his room
"Karthi! When is your flight?" she asked making him stop in his tracks
"Tomorrow morning mom and I want some help in my packing please come" he replied winking at her while she smiled at his antics! The reason she was leaving her life...Karthik Shekawat
