Well, Salman admittedly has a dodgy past and a not-so-credible track record.

People are requesting and encouraging people to "Boycott Sultan" so that Salman Khan finally realizes that actions have consequences and he cannot continue taking his success for granted. In the end people will weigh the options and make their choice.

I personally am in two minds right now. I have always been a fan of Salman's masala films. Now I have to weigh the options between my principles and my entertainment. Seeing people's opinions for and against Salman does not force me either way, it helps me see all the points and counterpoints to make my decision.

After all, we do not choose in a vacuum. We choose when we have information to make our choices.

I still don't get why people need to be persuaded or requested or encouraged to boycott the movie. I think everyone here is capable of thinking and deciding for themselves and hence what they choose to do should be out of their own volition.

But as you rightly pointed out, information helps make choices. Let everyone decide for themselves.
