Zoya, wonderful post as usual. Though I couldn't comment on all your posts, I do not fail to read any of yours.
As Raman has once told, Ishita is the best mother that his children could have got. He once asked her why din't you become the mother of Adi. That's all he wanted. The irony is that, he still wants her to be his children's mother. The children are what would bind them, especially Ruhi. Neither Adi, nor Pihu could do that. He has seen it. The moment she lost Ruhi, she could not survive. She could not breathe. In the outmost anger he uttered those venomous words. He thought she would remain with him, with their other two children. Like every other time she would understand him. But, Ruhi was her soul. Once at the initial stage of their marriage, Ruhi feared and asked him that his anger might make Ishita walk of as Shagun had done. He replies, that her Ishima would suffer anything for her sake even his anger. And she did. She did those things that a wife would never do. He at first was miffed at her for her approach towards his past-Shagun's matters. He thought that she never wanted to claim him. He was irritated at the fact that she was less irritated than what he had expected; making him feel that she still believes Shagun has some place in his heart. But later, these were all that he admired in her, the understanding nature of his wife.
Ishita thinks that she is the cause of all the mess. As you said it is in her nature that she cannot see anyone in mess. Ishita solves the mess without claiming anything. She stopped claiming the moment Subbu left her. It was Ruhi who claimed her, made her mother. It was Raman who claimed her. It was Adi who claimed her. Its after all of theirs love did she claimed back. When Raman killed her with his words, she left her hold on Raman. The day she believed Raman had married Shagun, she lost a part of her. When she learned from him that he is going to marry Shagun, she lost everything.
For Ishita, the possibility of Raman getting married to Shagun was obvious. She knows that he does anything for his children. He was the same man who married a woman whom he hated the most for his daughter. And for Raman, Ishita was a woman who married a man whom she hated, for a child. How can he ignore the fact that Mani has a daughter too. The biggest thing that irks him is Aliya calling her amma'. He fears that this may come true. And like father is the daughter. Ruhi hates Aliya calling her amma' more than anything in this world.
Ruhi's anger, I would say is biased. Its more on Ishita than on anyone else. She loves her Ishima the most. She was so angry seeing Ishita with Mani, thinking that they got married. She feared that she is forgotten by her Ishima because she got a new child who called her amma'. When she learned the relation status from Mani, she had a heave of relief, that Ishita is still her Ishima. She knows that the way to Raman's love is through Ishita. She is seeing it in Adi's case.
Pihu is Raman's world now. Ishita wanted to give her best to Pihu. The time when she noticed how Pihu is affected by her presence, she withdraws her altogether. She doesn't want to be a mother who is a schemer. She believes that Pihu is the survival air for Shagun, like Ruhi was to her. Whom should she claim now. As she said to Mani, one daughter doesn't want her, and the other don't know her.
Ishita believes that Raman doesn't want her anymore. The man who was desperate to make her mother of his children, who wanted their children, never mentioned anything to their symbol of love. Ishita always had disgusted Shagun as a mother, atleast till surrogacy. And Raman had hated her for being a mother. That Raman had made their child call Shagun as her mother. Its not about Pihu calling Shagun her mother, but its about Pihu not knowing about a mother, that too from Raman.
This woman is damn insecure. Once her physicality was what restrained her from becoming a mother. Now, with the words of the man who adored her, for being a wonderful mother questions her mental state of becoming a mother. Aliya and Mani have constantly assured her that she is the best mother. But she always doubted. She still doubts. This would really make her go away once Ruhi is back. Only Raman and Ruhi can assure her.
Pihu is just like Ruhi. Ruhi told her today. Its really from the upbringing. Its not Shagun's upbringing. Its her family's, her daadi's upbringing. Like all children, she too loves her mother, Shagun. Ruhi too loved her mother. She searched for her in a party. It was when she came to know that her mother can't love her, she came back. Shagun is a mother for namesake- Pihu is no exception. Today, when she was overpowered by feelings of her existence, she came from there without having a thought about the apple of her eye, Pihu. When Ishita came to know that Raman was protecting Shagun in her Amma's accident case, she was shattered. After the confrontation in the hotel, she took her child with her. She did not leave her there.
Adi was once Shagun's dotted child. And now, when she felt that Adi is no more her's but Ishita's, she didn't even dare to sort out the coldness between the father and the son. Pihu is what Adi was once to Raman, his weakness. She needs to keep his weakness with him. And about Shagun being a good mother, its right she is not making Pihu do what she wants. This is because of one reason that she does not have a rival to scheme her child for anything. Pihu can give her Raman and she does. And now Ishita's entry is a threat, she began her scheming session. This is why she never wanted to have a good relation between Pihu and Ishita.
Hope I made sense.
