Article-Barkha--Hello and Goodbye

T hey entered the competition only last week.. and were ousted last night. Not surprisingly, Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta are upset. "We hardly got a chance to showcase our talent as dancers," complains Bisht. She goes a step further to blame the format for their early exit. "It was unfair to pit us against the final four. These guys had weeks of training while we were just starting out. We'd have done a much better job if we had been called a few weeks earlier," she insists. The actress also defends beau Sengupta's much criticised dancing skills. "Neil may not be the best dancer in the world. The fact that we were both running a temperature during the elimination round didn't help," she says. Not much sympathy Didn't the other couples on the show have a problem with them? A lot of tempers had sparked off when Juhi Parmar had tried to push her way in the initial rounds. "No, everyone was very sweet.. but obviously they weren't happy either," says Bisht. Amita Chandekar echoes Bisht's thoughts. "I do feel bad for Barkha and Indraneil. They ought not to have entered the show. It would have been better if two eliminated jodis had come back in the wild card round," she says, adding, "If I'd been in their place, I would have refused." Aamir Ali agrees. He doesn't think that Bisht and Sen- gupta would have had a better chance if they had entered the show earlier. Only Kashmera Shah sympathises with the 11th jodi: "The poor kids entered too late. The competition has reached its peak. That's a pity since Barkha is a good dancer."
