@Moon - I think we have to take the liberty of assuming certain facts that are not necessarily shown on screen. They have time limitations etc and cannot show everything. So, not getting into the specifics, if you look at it purely from a character perspective, every chance that an outsider has opposed Swadheenta's views, Adarsh has defended her. Of late, their only point of discussion is his worry for her. We know that he still loves her and we have to assume that he is concerned and worried for her.

Is there only one definitive way to express your love and commitment for someone? Has Simmi tried reasoning with Swadheenta about her wrong choices? Jaya? Jaidev? Adarsh has, Suhasini has. Can that not be his way of standing with her through all this? His initial anger, agony and frustration came from the fact that he had just lost Abhay. He could not sympathize with her for Asad because of overwhelming evidence against Asad. But even if you see his own character, it has evolved. He is not distant towards her, he is emotional and disturbed, but he is talking to her. He has expressed his concern for her. Under the circumstances this is the best he can do. In fact, in the confines of their room he has more reason to be vocal towards her, more reason to tell her exactly how he feels. He is upset, and he should not hide it from her. She knows it, she knows where he stands.

My only point is that both of them are blind when it comes to their families. And Swadheenta has been more open and forthcoming as a person. She believes in direct talk, facing the truth etc That is nature to her. But for Adarsh, his inherent nature is to strike a balance and maintain a healthy equilibrium. He takes up the responsibility to do that always. So, their reactions to every situation cannot be the same because as people they are different. But the underlying fact still remains that he cares about her. He tries to reason with her. He tries to make her understand. Can it not be possible at all that this is his way of showing his love and concern?

I like the way all the characters have been etched to be honest. They all have their strengths, but they are all vulnerable and have their weaknesses too. 😃. Swadheenta, Suhasini and Adarsh are all perfect in their own way. I don't have any qualms with any of these three. I think their reactions to every situation are totally justified.

First of all I want to thank you for making this lovely post. Enjoyed reading all the responses ad here is my 2 cents worth on the topic...

It's very difficult to say point blank who is right and who is wrong.
Adarsh's attitude did irk me in the beginning but when you consider his persona and his extreme attachment to his family, particularly his "chotu" we can accept his behaviour.

Also there has been so much proof against the Jilanis that no-one can blame him for bring convinced that they are guilty. (Although the proof has been manipulated and even planted).

But I have one thing against Adarsh...agreed he goes by the proof provided but if he really loves his wife as much ad he had claimed to, he would at least try an reason with her, be a bit more supportive of her feelings and at least help her in her efforts to find the truth.

Swadhinta on the other hand has always maintained that she is trying to reveal the truth. She has never asked her in-laws to believe in her belief... on the contrary she has told Adarsh and suhasini that all she wants is for the truth to come out and for the real killer to be brought to justice...even if it is turns out to be Assad...

In my opinion that's what Adarsh also should have done...he should have at least supported her in her belief and given her some moral support in her efforts to find out the truth...even if he does not help her physically in her search for the truth...

Adharsh isn't particularly wrong here. But from a story POV, it doesn't go well that he is just content to believe the proof that is shown to him. After all, he is called as a 'Robinhood.' His need to don a 'robinhood' role itself shows that he knows all sorts of mess-ups can happen; so atleast for this sake, he could have been shown to do some investigating on his own; even if to prove that Haider and Asad are terrorists. Atleast this way he would arrive at the truth on his own.

Right now, Adharsh is mostly shown to be passive and going with the flow; which is okay but it takes away the scope this character could have had. Even Suhasini isn't siding with Swadeenta but by going against Haider/Asad, she is shown to stumble onto stuff, doubt and question things in her own way. But Adharsh seems to be kept in the passive mode till now.

Great discussion! !
Each character is reacting due to what he or she knows.

Adarsh has always been an honest, upfront guy. What he sees with his own eyes he believes. And so far what he sees is that Jilanis are guilty. He tries half heartedly to insert himself into the investigation but doesn't see anything wrong.

Swadeentha is guided by her own unquantifiable gut feeling. She knows in her bones that her Mamu and Asad are innocent, but she can't get strong proof to back it up. Yet.

Manohar was very sloppy in using Allan Broad's name to secure Jilanis death sentence, it leads straight to him and the Minister! If one reporter could find that paper trails so easily, it wasn't done too well was it?

If both of them knew what we know, they'd be fighting on the same team.

So, both are not wrong.

Adarsh may be less understanding of his wife but she has always been uninhibited in fighting for truth. Adarsh is principled but needs to be convinced first.
