Tubelight is a period film, Sohail plays my brother - Salman confirms

Salman Khan : Tubelight is a Period Film, Sohail Plays My Brother. Salman Khan has officially confirmed that Kabir Khan's Next Film Tubelight is period drama and Sohail Khan plays his sibling in the film.

Today, while promoting Sultan with the media, Salman Khan shared interesting details about Kabir Khan's next film Tubelight which is slated to go on floors in July 2016 in Ladakh. Salman Khan will be sporting a new look for the film which hits the theaters next Eid.

"Yes, Kabir Khan's next Tubelight is a period filn and Sohail plays the character if my brother. All I Can say right now is that it is exceptional script" said Salman Khan in a media interview today.

Few days back, Kabir Khan also shared few interesting details about this much anticipated film.

"It is about a personal issue. Can't talk about what exactly right now. Needless to say my films always have a political backdrop to them because that's what excites me and I find real. So Tube Light also has a little political backdrop," Kabir Khan had told PTI.

Tube Light will mark the third collaboration between Mr Khan and the 50-year-old star after blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

When asked if their upcoming film will follow the lines of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Mr Khan said, "In terms of its emotional space it is similar to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But story is very different. It is more of humour and emotional space that we (Salman and I) haven't delved into." further added Kabir Khan in an interview couple of days back.

Accoridng the reports, Tubelight is a story of Salman Khan, his character and 6 year old Chinese Kid. It has a Chinese backdrop in the story. It releases on Eid 2017.
