PV OS - Promises Lost, Love Restored.

Broken promises

"I'm sorry Aarti, I am not in love with you anymore."
"What does that mean?"
"I'm not in love with you anymore."
"I heard you. I want to know what that means for us."
"I'm not sure."
"You're not sure? You say you don't love me anymore but you not sure what that means? Is there someone else?"
"No"
"Hmm."
"Are you leaving me?"
"I don't know. I feel like I need my space, so maybe yes."
"You need your space? And I must be left with 4 children?"
"No, I will be there for the children."
"When and how will you be there for them? In between your busy schedule. When you not dating? When Yash?"
"I won't be dating. I will make time for them. I promise."
"You promise? How can I believe you? You also promised to love and protect me for 7 lifetimes. You promised never to leave or forsake me. Your promised to be faithful to me. Right now your promises mean nothing to me. When do you want to leave?"
"I don't know."
"It seems you didn't think this whole thing through, did you?"
"Aarti, I don't want to hurt you but ..."
"But you did, Yash. You did."
She walked away from him. She couldn't take it anymore. This was too much.
She had known of course that something was coming. He was hardly ever around anymore and when he was home he spent all his time with the children. He hardly spoke to her. They only spoke when they needed too. And it has been a while since he touched her. At first she tried to initiate romance but he was not interested. Not in romance and not even in sex. That was when she knew that something was definitely off.

But she went about her business. She waited. She didn't know what she was waiting for. For him to come out of the slump or for her to discover that he was having an affair.
And even now after that conversation, she still knew nothing, understood nothing. She was not sure how she should feel. Yes she loved him but what should she do. Should she fight for him or should she just let him go. Should she pursue the reason for his feelings or should she step aside and give him what he wants. Not that she knew what he wanted. And it appeared, neither did he.
She was in shower. She wanted to cry but she couldn't. She felt that crying would help but the tears wouldn't come. She had cried before. She had cried when she went to surprise him at his office for lunch but he dismissed her saying he was too busy, but she take one of her friends. She cried when she reached out for him, her body hungry for his but he stayed lying rigid in bed. But tonight she couldn't cry.

She came out of the bathroom and went to the kid's room to check on them. She was tempted to sleep there but she decided against it. He was the one that decided that he didn't want her anymore. This was still her home. And that was still her bedroom. She would go to her bedroom. He could leave if he wanted to.

He was sitting in bed in his usual white pyjama suit that he had started wearing again a couple of months ago. Before they would shower together and most times just never bother to get dressed. Especially that Aayu was no longer in the room.

That was her first indication that something was amiss. She first joked about it and then she had asked him if anything was wrong but he had always denied it. But she wasn't stupid. And she wasn't blind.

Even the children started noticing the distance between them and commented and asked questions. It was always left to her to make sure that they felt safe and secure. Family was a big thing to them. After all they had been through in their young lives. Especially the three older ones.

She got under the covers, still calm and asked.
"Was it anything I did?"
"No. It's not you it's me."
She almost wanted to laugh at that statement.
"Is there anything I can do to make you change how you feel?"
"No Aarti, is said it's not you."
"I will change of you want me to. Just tell me what you want."
"There is nothing you can do."
"If you are going to leave, you will have to discuss it with our parents and the children. I want no part of that."
There was silence.
"I love you Yash. You I have always loved you. I gave you the best I could. I gave you everything I had to give. I want you as my husband and I want you to be the father of my children. I want us to remain a family. I don't want to see my children's hearts break over this. But if you have decided for certain that you want to leave, I won't stop you. And if you leave my heart will break even more than it is broken now. But be sure that it's what you want because if you do want to come back, if perhaps you've discovered you made a mistake, I might not be available to you. Good night, Yash."
The next night he came home after work, he played with the children, they had dinner and he read the children a bed time story.
She was already in bed when he came.
"I have decided to stay for now." he announced.
She didn't respond.
This carried on for weeks and months and soon a year had passed. They were putting up a faade for the family, in fact for the whole world. But when they were alone together, it was as if they did not exist for each other. She couldn't say that she didn't miss the closeness. She longed for a hug and kisss. At first she had often fantasized that he would come to his senses and ask for her forgiveness. She would play hard to get of course but soon she would give in as he ravaged her. She struggled with that as well. He had awakened senses in her that she didn't know she had. She had a raging libido that could not be satisfied. At this point she would have settled for just sex. She did not need him to make love to her. She only needed him to assuage her need.

On the other hand she knew that he had a raging libido. So if he wasn't it getting it from her, then where was he getting it? She had asked that of him a few times but he always denied to have anyone in his life. She didn't believe him. And she was becoming desperate. Not for him but for the situation. It put a huge amount of strain on her. She constantly had to pretend to be happy. Put a smile and be the perfect bahu and mother.

Her only outlet was her painting. She devoured canvas after canvas, Sketchbooks piled up in her little room. She would go to the room as often as she could. As soon as her chores were done, she would go there. It became her haven. No one was allowed in there. She used to share her art with him but no more. She would not share her innermost feelings and needs with anyone anymore. She would even go in there just to be alone with her thoughts. She even used the room once or twice to relieve some much needed sexual tension. It seemed she was alone in a lot of things.

She had gone shopping with Vidhi when she ran into one of her old art teachers. He was now the director of an art gallery. He just so happened to ask her if she was still painted and sketched as his gallery was doing an exhibition of only new artists that wanted exposure. Her first instinct was to say no, but she found herself saying yes.
Both Ma and Bauji and Yash agreed that she could take part in the exhibition. She was excited. She chose some of what she considered her best pieces and some of them were chosen for the exhibition. Vidhi and Pari wanted to come and their husbands had to join. He had no option but to join.

Unexpected revelations

For the first time in ages she felt like a person. She felt like she was more than a mother, wife and bahu. People saw more in her than that. Her work was praised by many. She was in her element.

He really didn't want to be here. But it would have looked strange if he didn't come. So he went with his brothers and sisters in law. She had left before them. He was late in coming home so he did not see her before she left.

By now it suited both of them to not have any involvement in each other's lives other than the children. He normally stayed out of the bedroom as long as possible. It was still awkward no matter the time that elapsed.

He was in love with Arpita. She was the marketing rep for one of their suppliers. They went out for coffee and the occasional bite to eat, but he never acted on his feelings. He had never even told her. But she was so unlike Aarti. She was a real go-getter. She was beautiful and she had a big personality. No one could miss her. In the short period that she had known her, she had moved up from a normal marketing rep to the manager overseeing all the reps for her company. But she still serviced them as Scindiya Events Management was their single biggest client.

He tried to shake his feelings for her but he couldn't till her finally spoke to Aarti. By then it was obvious to her that something was wrong. Her reaction was not what he had expected. He had thought that she would be crying and begging him to stay when he said he might leave. Instead she was cool calm and collected.

He knew she thought he was having an affair and he was. Only it was not a physical one, but an emotional one. But one thing he couldn't get himself to do was to make love to Aarti while he was in love with someone else. It made him feel even guiltier. As if he was defiling her. She had asked him about that once and he couldn't tell her the truth and he couldn't tell her that he had no lover other than his hand, while envisioning Arpita in the shower quite often.

He was very surprised at what she wore. Moreover he was surprised that his mother let her out of the house like that. She was wearing a bare back, sleevless sarree in black with silver sequence and silver sandals. Her hair was swept to the side in a messy bun and tendrils running down her back.

She was talking animatedly to some people and laughed out loud, It has been a while that he heard her laugh like that. Somehow it reverberated inside of him, almost like an earthquake.

She eventually saw them and she made her way to them. She hugged Vidhi and Paridhi and they were talking about how it was going. Even Pankaj and Prateek joined the conversation. She didn't even acknowledge him. He might not even have been there.

She flitted about the whole night. He saw a few men give her appreciative glances. And he saw some of them trying to convert those glances to more, but she did not entertain it. She gently made sure they were aware that she was not interested and that she was only here for her work.
"Yash, we are leaving now. Are you coming or are you waiting for Aarti"
"I will wait." he found himself saying.

Later they drove home. She seemed on a high from the exhibition. She didn't even want to leave. He had to go get her eventually and she seemed quite irritated with him.

"Aarti, I want to go home."
"Why didn't you go with your brothers?"
"I didn't want you to drive home alone so late."
"Really. I didn't know you cared." she looked him confrontationally.
"Fine, let me say my goodbyes and I will come."
They drove home in silence. But her cell phone rang and she smiled looking at the name displayed and answered.
"Amaan. Why are you calling me? I just left you."
"Is that so?"
"You are too much sir" she laughed that unique laugh of hers again.
"I will see you tomorrow and we can discuss that. Good night"
He only heard the conversation from the one side but her laugh and the expression on his face said a lot.

"Why are you not wearing your sindoor and mangalsutra?"
"What?"
"You heard me?'
"It didn't go with my outfit." she said flippantly.
"Yes, you're revealing outfit. Did Ma see you leave the house?"
"No" she said softly. I dressed at Mansi's house. But I am an adult I can wear what I want to. And since when does the sindoor and mangalsutra mean anything to you."
"You are still my wife?"
She laughed again. This time a dry humourless laugh.
"Your wife. Yes I suppose I am. To everyone out there. But I haven't been that to you in a long time. And you know what? It hurt, but now I have become accustomed to it. The pain has dulled and for the first time in more than a year I feel alive."
He screeched the car to a halt.
"Is it because of this Amaan that you were talking to?"
"In part? Start the car Yash, you wanted to go home now drive."
He grabbed her arm painfully.
"What is going on between you two?"
"Nothing. Sadly."
His hold tightened.
"What do you mean by that?"
"You're hurting me."
"What do you mean?" he gritted through his teeth.
"It means that it feels good that someone looks at me like a woman again. It feels good that someone values my opinion again. It feels good that someone seeks me out to talk to and is interested in what I have to say other than what pertains to the children. I feels good to feel wanted."
His anger was raging. He let go of her hand and started the car. He sped off like a maniac.
"Yash. Please. Slow down. Don't do this. Think of the children if something happens to us. Please Yash." She was crying and pleading but he did not slow down. It was a miracle that they reached home safely.
He slammed on the breaks and she was flung forward. The seatbelt cutting into her bare shoulder. They both got out of the car and she wanted to go into the house but he caught her hand again and dragged her to the pool house.
"Yash, what are you doing. Let go of me."
He just continued dragging her. Once inside, he locked the door and let go of her arm. She moved away with fear in her eyes. He approached her like a wild animal stalking is prey.
"So you want to pretend not to be married. You want to entice another man. Well Mrs Scindiya, you can't have him. You are mine. You are still married. You are still my wife."
"You are the one that left me in every which way but physically. You are the one that fell out of love with me. Don't think I don't know that there is another woman. Let me go Yash. I don't want to be exposed to your diseases. I don't know where you've been."
"But you are prepared to give it away to that man."
"I was not going to give anything away. I know what my limits are."
"Well if you want to so badly, I will give it to you."
"No. I don't want you."
He grabbed her and kissed punishingly. She bit his lip. He pulled away from her. He wiped the blood away. And through the down on the couch. He lifted the skirt of her sarree and removed her underwear. He didn't even remove his pants. He merely opened his zip and took his ready manhood out and forced it into her. Surprisingly she was moist and his entry was smooth.
"Were you wet for him?"
"Yash, don't talk nonsense. Stop this."
"Were you wet for him?!" he demanded again.
"No, I wasn't."
"Liar!" he shouted as he started thrusting into her.
He could sense her trying to hold back but she couldn't. He knew her libido and he knew that she must be starved by now. And he was not surprised when she started meeting his thrusts, begging for it. Demanding more of it. He wanted to punish her but she clearly loved it. And it drove him wild. As wild as both of them needed for it to be, to be satiated. After they climaxed, he lay on top of her, panting. When he caught his breath, he lifted his head and looked at her. She looked back. Neither knew what the appropriate action was for now. He withdrew from her. And sat down next to her and she sat up too.
He was still dangling outside his pants and he stood up to zip himself up and left to go onto the house. She stayed there for a while, crying. Finally she went inside, and he had obviously had a shower already and she went to have one as well.
She came out of the shower and stood in front of the mirror as was her usual routine, drying her hair. She was wearing her nightie and she nervously standing drying her hair. She noticed when he got off the bed and approached her again. He took his pyjamas off as he approached her. She was shaking. He reached her and he bent her over the dressing table and removed her panties and he entered her from behind. Again without any foreplay and once again it was not needed. He thrust into her and they held each other's gazes in the mirror. He rubbed her till she reached orgasm and she only closed her eyes then as she shuddered and felt his release inside her at the same time.
Then they both went to bed and slept on their sides of the bed.
The next morning, he left early. She was awake but pretended to be asleep. When she eventually got up, she went to shower and found her sarree all ripped up and in the dirt bin.
She cried again. She felt terrible. This man didn't want her. Why did she still want him so much? She could try and convince herself that it was just sex, but she knew that it was never just about that for her. For her that was an act of love, but what happened last night was not love. It was lust and a need to hurt, to punish.
He came home late, everyone had already gone to bed.
"I want a divorce. You don't have to leave. I will ask Ma & Bauji if I can come back home." she said.
"And the children." he asked.
"The children will live with me."
"No"
She shut her eyes tightly.
"Fine then they can stay here."
"So that you can be free to be with your lover?"
"I don't have a lover. I haven't had one for a while now. And my children are all I have. You can decide if they stay or go with me but I am going."
"If I found out that you are seeing anyone, you wil never see them again."
"What have I ever done to you, for you to want to hurt me like this? You have an opportunity now to get rid of me. To follow your heart. You have been faithful to her for more than a year. You can have her for good now. Just don't use my children as a pawn in all of this."
"Don't be here when I get back tomorrow." he said as he closed the blankets around him and went to sleep.

He had been restless at the office, he didn't know if she would do as he said. If she would leave. He went home on time for the first time in a long time. He stepped in the house but he didn't want to ask. He didn't want anyone to know that he didn't know what his wife was up to. But eventually it became clear that she wasn't there. Truth be told he didn't think she would go through with it. She had always been so in love with him and committed to him. She put up with everything he had put her through. But this person that he encountered at the exhibition and after was different. She was stronger, more confident and independent.

The children only knew that their mamma missed bade ma and bade pa and that was why she stayed with them for a while. And it was almost a week now and there was absolutely no contact between them.

He had a meeting close to home and decided to work from him and then go to the meeting from there. He was alone at home except for the servants. Vidhi and his mother had gone on their weekly shopping spree and the children were at school. He was sitting on the balcony in their room when he saw her car pull up. He was surprised. She got out and he expected her to come to their room and when she didn't he went to look where she was. He found the door to her studio ajar. She was busy packing in things and didn't even hear him come in. It gave him a moment to observe her. She looked sad, in fact as he looked around the room at her work. It all looked dark and grey. There was hardly any colour. Except where it came to painting of the kids. That was happy and colourful pictures.
He closed and locked the door, making her finally look at him.
"Yash? What are you doing here,"
"I live here"
"But you are not normally here this time of the day."
"Do you have a problem with that?"
"No, I just came to get some of my things and I will be on my way." she said nervously.
He came closer and closer to her. She still packed frantically. Till he came to stand against her.
"Yash, please."
"I want you. I can't get that night of the exhibition out of my mind."
"It's over between us Yash."
"It's over when I say it is."
He turned her around and kissed her. She was helpless but to respond. A movement of her hand caused some of the sketchpads to fall off the table open on the floor. It captured his attention. Especially the one of two people in an intimate position. He picked it up and recognised it to be them. He paged through the rest of the pad only to find it was filled with pictures of them making love.

He looked at her and she was clutching the table with both hands on either side of her. He lips were shaking.
"Are you scared? Why?"
"No, embarrassed."
"Because of your sketches? I love it. When did you do it?"
"Does it matter, Yash? I have to go now."
He dropped the sketchpad on the floor again and focused back on her. He lifted her onto the table. His hands went under her sarree and removed what was underneath. He caressed her already moistness, loving the sound of her pleasurable gasp. He took his hands away to remove his pants and entered her swiftly. Their passion was wild and hungry. And he prolonged it as long as he could.
Finally, when they were done, he clothed himself again and picked up the sketchpad and left the room. She did the same and went back to her parents' home without taking anything that she had come for.

He took the children to her the weekend. He didn't have to go himself but he wanted to see her. She was so happy to see them. She greeted him just for the children's sake. Shoba-ma told her to make tea for him and after she made the tea, she went to play with the children in the garden,
"What is going on between the two of you Yash?"
"Honestly Shoba-ma, I don't know. I ... I hurt her badly and now I don't know if she will ever forgive me."
"Did you have an affair."
"Not technically but whether or not I had an affair is immaterial, I reject her as my wife for a while now. And I think she finally has reached the point where she no longer wants to forgive and forget."
"Then it is up to you to win her back. I can see the difference in her and it is not going to be easy. And if you are not committed to her and the marriage, just leave her alone."
"Yes, Shoba-ma."
They talked about other things and he discovered that his in-laws were invited to wedding in Dehli but they couldn't afford the aeroplane tickets. He offered to buy it for them and they decided to make a vacation out of it and stay there a month. Which was ideal for him.

She was alone at home, she actually relished it. She couldn't remember when last she had been on her own. She really missed her monkeys, but he didn't want them to live with her. But she saw them regularly. Weekends and often after school. But her parents had left this morning and the kids did not come that day. She had painted. She didn't cook for herself, she just had a sandwich and now she was lying in what she intended to be a long leisurely bubble bath with aromatherapy candles. She had lots to think of. The gallery had offered her an opportunity to do a full exhibit of just her work and she had accepted. In the past year she had done so much painting and sketching that she had enough to offer them. It would be happening quite soon, in fact before her parents came back. An artist had disappointed them and she would take his place. And apparently they had a lot of enquiries about her after the first exhibition.

And of course the divorce. She wanted the divorce. She needed to be free of him even though she would never stop loving him. She couldn't live like that anymore. She wondered all the time when he finally would leave her. This way, there was finality. Closure. If her exhibition was a success, she would have money and a career as well and she wouldn't have to depend on him or her parents. She would have her children and that would be enough for her.

"Expecting anybody?"
Her eyes flew open she jumped to a sitting position.
"Yash, how did you get in here?"
"Bauji gave me a key long ago."
"What are you doing here?"
"What do you think?" He started to get undressed. She stared at him and she was unable to move. Finally she came out of her trance.
"Please Yash. Go home. I don't want this."
He was finally naked and got in the bath with her.
"Please ..." she begged feeling her resolve fly out the window.
He sat down and put her on his lap and started kissing her on the mouth and neck and finally moved to her breasts. She felt his hardness against her and she started rubbing herself against him. He lifted her by her hips and positioned her on top of him and she didn't need any further encouragement. She brought them both to climax quickly.
"What is this Yash? What are you doing?" she said after they both had calmed down.
"I want you back."
"It's too late."
"I want you back."
"I can't be with you anymore. You hurt me too much for too long."
"Forgive me. I will do anything you want. Please forgive me."
"Remember that conversation that we had one night when you said it's not me it you. It's the same now. I have changed Yash. I don't need you anymore. I don't live for your love and acceptance anymore. I have broadened my horizons and discovered there is more to life than you. I gave you everything I had and it wasn't good enough, but there are others out there that appreciate what I have to give. Appreciate my talent. Appreciate me as a woman. You took me for granted and now, now that you see that other people are interested in me, you want me back. Like a toddler with a toy that they have discarded but want no one else to play with. I am worth more than that Yash. Why didn't you see my value before? Why only now?"

"You are right. I didn't realise your value. I thought I wanted something more, something different. I always thought you would always be there. I knew that you invested everything you had into me and I never thought I would lose you. Even when I wanted to leave, I never really thought that you wouldn't take me back. I realise you have changed. I can see it in your eyes, I can see it in your whole demeanour. You have grown Aarti. And I am scared that you have outgrown me."
"Yash, it is not a matter of outgrowing you. It is simply a matter of us moving on with our lives. The woman that you wanted, is she not available anymore."
"Aarti, I could have had her anytime. I can still have her. I thought I loved her. She was so different from you. She was so confident and outgoing, career driven where you were a mother and a homebody. I thought that was what I wanted. But I have realised my mistake. I realise there can never be anyone but you for me."
"Did you sleep with her?"
"No, never."
"How can I believe you?"
"I promise. I wanted to and I would have probably if I had left you but I couldn't do that when I had to come home to your every night. I never even kissed her."
"Is she still around?"
"Yes, she is one of our suppliers."
"And when you see her now?"
"Aarti, it's you that I want. Only you. Please come back to me. Your response to me tells me you still love me."
"Sex can sometimes be just that Yash. There needn't be any emotionally involvement. And I was starved for more than a year remember."
"I am sorry Aarti. I beg you, please give me another chance."
"No." she got out of the bath, dried herself and put on her dressing gown. He followed her.
"I am not giving up Aarti and I am not giving you a divorce."
"Do what you want. You always have."
"I won't stay away from you and I will make love to you till you agree to come back to me. I don't care if you say it's just sex. I know you better than you think."
He untied the dressing gown and let if fall from her. He picked her up and laid her on the bed and made love to her slowly and passionately. Finally when they climaxed she had tears in her eyes. She turned away from him. She closed her with the blanket and lay down next to her holding her in his arms till they both fell asleep.

He came to her every day, even when the children were there. She could never resist him but she never agreed to come back to him. They had the same conversation / argument over and over. But they seemed to be talking against each other and not to each other. The only time they were in agreement was when they were one. And being on their own for once made it even more exciting. She never knew when he would come. Sometimes it was during the day and they would spend the afternoon in bed or in the morning, just after breakfast even though he had been there the night before. No room in the house was spared, nor the sink and the kitchen table, they even did it outside in the garden and they could be as loud as they wanted and they were very loud.

She wouldn't give in to him. She had to stay strong but she loved him. And every time she heard his key in the door she melted. No matter in which room her found her, he would take her right there. He had gone away on business for a few days and she felt lonely and angry and jealous. She now knew for sure that there was another woman involved and she knew she had no right to be as she left him, but she was rabid with jealousy.
When he came back she tried not to give into him.
"So was she with you?"
"No Aarti. I was on a business trip. I haven't seen her in weeks."
"Youre lying. I don't belive you."
"I am not lying and you would know that if you answered any of the calls that I made to you. I desperately wanted to hear your voice."
"Just go home."
"No."
She fought him and all that ensued was a wild, violent passionate session in her little studio. They landed up on the floor somehow with paint all over their bodies.

He tried to romance her, but she wouldn't budge. So he could only take her out when she had the kids. He shamelessly used his children just as he used his body. He took them to the mall, to dinner and lunch. He put things in their minds and they would insist on it when they were with her. He would normally stay the night but he left before they woke up.

Finally it was her exhibition. He bought her an outfit and jewellery similar to what she wore at the first exhibition. She would look sexy. That time he was jealous and this time, he would make sure that she would look sexy again but every man there would know she was his. It was a light yellow saree with sliver this time. His favourite colour on her. He was there when she got dressed and he watched her. He was extremely aroused but he contained it. When she was finished, he applied sindoor on her and put the mangalsutra on her neck. And he gave her a gentle kiss. She didn't object.
She was in her element again. The exhibition was a success. And this time he was proud of her. She looked over at him sometimes and smiled. This new persona was part of her now and it seemed to complete her. And he loved all of her.

Renewed promise

When they got home, he took her hand and pulled her to the bedroom. He started ripping the sarree off her.
"Yash?"
"It's what I wanted to do since you got dressed earlier." he said through passionate kisses that drove her wild.
Afterwards he said,
"I will get you another one."
"No thank you. Every time I wear a saree like this, you rip it up. You can rather donate the money to the hungry and homeless."
He chuckled. After a while as they were lying in each other's arms.
"Come back to me baby."
"Yash ..."
"I love you. I will never hurt you like that again."
"I love you too."
"Will you come back to me?"
"I will come back but I still have not forgiven or forgotten."
"I understand."
"And you have to agree to go for counselling."
"I agree."
"I don't want you seeing her anymore."
"I have already giving their contract to another supplier."
"I want us to spend time alone together like this on a regular basis. I love our family but we need time alone as well."
"I will get us a flat or a house of our own. And no one will know about it."
"You have to make Ma and Bauji realise that I have a career now."
"I will support you in that."
"You can never stop loving me again." she said as she started to cry.
"I didn't love. Even when I thought I did. But what happened then will never happen again. You mean everything to me and I know without you I am nothing. I love you more now than ever and when I think of losing you I feel I am losing my life. You are my very breath, my reason for being. I will never stop loving you, not ever. This I promise.
He held her tight as they cried in each other's arms. They had so much further to go then this. So much to work through but this was a beginning. They both loved each other and were commited to make the relationship work. They would never take each other for granted again. Losing each other was not an option anymore. They clung to each other as their lifelines. And now knew that they would be together forever.

She knew this to be true a year later, when she was dressed in one of her bare back sarees and they renewed their vows to each other. He had insisted on it. It was just the two of them and the priest and it was in their new home and love nest. And she was excited because she knew what would happen as soon as the priest left. The promise of the night of bliss to come and the promise of a new life together was making her so happy. His broken promise had broken both of them but now their love for each other was stronger and the promises were not taking lightly. The believed in their promises to each other and they would hold each and every one as sacred now and forever.

Though i could not really relate about Yash's falling in love part with Arpita, but the way you complete the story is commendable. as usual great job. Thank you.😊

Thank you Asmani, I understand what you say about not relating to him falling in love with Arpita. I don't understand that type of thing either. How do you just fall out of love? But as you say, it happens in real life. But I choose to believe that his feelings were just the perception of what he thought he wanted. Luckily he was given a rude awakening when he finally realised that he might lose the best thing that ever happened to him.

Yes obviously he was not in love with Arpita otherwise he would not stay obstinate for so much time 😆 and a little ignorance towards men would always bring them back on track and thats what happened with Yash 😆

Oh this was a wonderful concept and different . Alas sometimes in a marriage things goes wrong, just because. It not always rosy and easy. Call it middle life crisis, stupidity, confusion or boredom , I guess the important thing is to recover before to much damage is done. However having the rug pull out of you like that can be hard. At least now Aarti was also able to fullfil herself too and she can survive without him. And Yash, glad you realize the treasure you had.

Excellent work B ⭐️ obviously Yash was not in love with Aripta he lusted after her because she was different from Aarti, from what Aarti had become a wife, mother home maker how horrible it would of been to have left or divorced Aarti and get involved with Aripta only to have his illusion broken and realize that it is Aarti he really loves that Aripta was just a passing phase. I felt disgusted with him dreaming about Aripta in the shower but admired him for not disrespecting Aarti and sleeping with Aripta while they were still together. He was honest Admitting his feelings to Aarti and she too told him as it is.But they are meant to be together and they faced that hurdle emerging stronger in their relationship both matured more understanding you don't take things or each other for granted Aarti got her self confidence and a career out of this situation she emerged as a better mother and wife. Yash realized the depth of his love when he almost lost her, his renewed passion, possessive, protective nature coming back to the forefront when he saw the male attention she received the lack of her wedding symbols was a blow to his manhood his pride i like that Aarti stood her ground he give him some good answers, showed him the changed Aarti but love and destiny won in the end ⭐️
Loved it B ⭐️
