The controversial part of 'Aja Nach Le's title song is this:

Ki sone mein usko rang gai
Mein rang ke atariya pe aa gai
Mohalle mein kaise maramar hai
Bole mochi bhee khud ko sonar hai

Aage jaye ke galli pe balkha gai
Koi jane jawani kab aa gai
Mere sadke zamane ki kamai re
Mujhe deta udhari Halwai re…

The government of India, in a document that explains India's Scheduled Caste order, identifies 'mochi' or 'chamar' as a scheduled or a lower caste. The line in the film's title song is basically saying that the town has gone beserk, and even the cobbler (officially a lower caste) is calling himself a jeweller. In reality however, the orginal meanings of these words (mochi and chamar) are a little different. The mochis have been trying to disconnect themselves from the lower-caste chamars for years, and in some states, had started addressing themselves the 'upper caste Rajputs or Thakurs' until the whole reservation quota became a political silver platter.
