Will Ishwari realise what Sona is worth? 16.06.16

After the euphoria of confessing and living a million dreams in hours, it was only right it died down. Good shout CVs for taking it a notch down with the intensity levels. If I had seen Dev Dixit continue to corner Sona, I wouldn't have been very happy. Dev Dixit is not a Maan Singh Khurana. He is very much a romantic lover who quite frankly doesn't know a great deal about love and has a few things to learn. This is where Sona comes in 😆

It's interesting to see how Ishwari ki naak ke neeche, both Sona and Dev are in a relationship. And I wouldn't be surprised that when Ishwari finds out and pieces together in her head, all the instances where he has laughed with Sona around, she will be devastated and bitter. I am pretty sure that Radha Rani will play a huge role in driving a wedge between Sona and Ishwari. But what makes me wonder is will Ishwari recognise and value what Sona brings to Dev's life? She has never seen her son in such a happy state. His smile brings her sakoon. Sona not only brings a wonderful balance to Dev's life, but in turn affects Ishwari too. That could only be a good thing right? Knowing you have a daughter-in-law who you can trust will bring joy to her son's life? It's funny because she says that seeing Dev so happy is the equivalent of her coming back from a pilgrimage. Will she understand that Sona is that piece of the jigsaw that makes everything fit? Interesting to also see Dev reply that he knows that Ishwari will be with him in every decision he makes. That of course will be tested in the future when Ishwari finds out. I am also sure she will question why Dev never sought her advice when he decided to make things official with Sona. She is telling him now to think of himself, make time for himself. Will she stick by this seeing Devakshi together?

Yesterday we found a Dev who wanted to know every single thing about Sona. And while I have nothing against his desire to unravel the enigma that is his lady love, I found him to be caught up far too much in the moment. Don't get me wrong, it made perfect sense and damn it was passionate! But how do you begin to get to know your better half? Is finding out every like/dislike or fear/hobby a necessity? I loved it when Sona said that this was her past and we should look to the future. Both fell for each other for the people they are in the present. Dev will love her more as he discovers her through the small things the days go by. Believe you and me, he will truly get to know what she is like and worth when their relationship will not be accepted by Ishwari immediately. The most loveliest moment was when Sona herself says ki 'aise social media site se zaada, aise hi jaan jaate.' The way she takes his hands into hers, almost like a man and woman about to take wedding vows, was beautiful. I love this Devakshi. A mature couple in love. Sona is the one who is able to show Dev that researching every detail of
of her timeline will not enable him to get to know her. Being with her and finding out something new everyday, in his own way will.

Love you girl :)

Finally watched the episode.
I agree with you on the tone down version of Dev. I'm loving this love sick puppy Dev and also scared for his carelessness. Dude didn't even read the papers before signing. I'm hoping it will work out as Dev keeps saying "main sambal lunga"
I have no comments on his social networking search efforts.. Pagla gaya hai😆he was too adorable though.. It is Shaheer written all over it.
I'm still stumped on actual reason behind Ishwaris disapproval of Sona. Will she not support Dev after knowing the real reason behind his happiness? I hope it doesn't end up being the DEAL or loss to his business. She might have a notion that Sona is a distraction to Dev's success?
Thank you so much for this post dear🤗

Good peep in of what holds for these two love birds in the future. It won't be a bed of roses Sona has to go thru a lot from rr and Ishwari.Of course our Dev Babu will be with her in winning everybody's love and affection from Dev babu's family.Thru this hardships they learn about each other.

Dev is such an endearingly real man, bumbling through his first experience with love. We so rarely get male protagonists who falter and have to face the consequences of their actions. Usually, they are kept in the dark about the ministrations of the women around them. and when they become privy to the problems, they are given superhuman powers to swoop in and fix everything in one go. It will be such a refreshing change to watch a male character actually participate in a mess of emotions and complex relationships, instead of hovering over them benignly.

I loved the central question of your post. Will Ishwari be able to recognise Sona's value in Dev's life. She seems to appreciate the result, but will she feel the same when she knows the cause? I went back and watched the old promos recently and realised that none of them explicitly state that Ishwari has a problem... we only hear it through Dev's mouth. Sona asks him if Ishwari herself has said anything against their relationship and Dev admits she hasn't... it's just something he can sense. He also says clearly that Ishwari would never disallow their relationship, but would also not be happy with it. I think it's safe to say that Dev's own lack of communication will be a signifcant problem, more than Ishwari's actual disapproval. By keeping the two women apart, Dev might rob Sona of the chance to show Ishwari how happy she makes him... thereby exacerbating the wedge. Just some random speculation. 😛

There is a fine line between passionate lover and creepy stalker, and Dev has definitely been toeing it since the confession. 🤣 It's as though all the facts about her are little puzzle pieces. All he has to do is find all of them, put them together, and gets to possess the complete Sona! But human beings are not puzzles, the whole is always greater than the parts, and love is not about possession. Sona is very wise to see this, and to know the few choice words that will help Dev see it as well.

Lovely post Neets! I love the maturity Sona exhibited today and you summarized it perfectly here :)

@Sam: A big fat WORD to everything you said. I especially love the last few lines of what you wrote about love vs. possession. Oh and the point you made about the promos is something I noticed as well. Lets see how it all unfolds on the show. Its rare for Indian TV to be able showcase a slice-of-life kind of concept as effectively as this show does. The fact they have managed to captivate the audience without resorting to gimmicks is such a feat!

Lovely post and replies.😊
Dev is behaving as a teenager in love, maybe the robbed childhood taking its toll. Sona is the more mature and wise one out of the two! 😃

I too was intrigued by Ishwari's concerns about his happiness and equating it with her pilgrimage. How can such a person have a grouse against a person who is bringing such happiness to her son! Only time will tell!

Well Neets kind of agree with all that you have said.
WRT. to his trying to gather information from Social Networking sites ... I found it to be a very cute gesture ...he is still a child I feel...how he asked...what were u doing last Sept / Oct ...there is no status of u there ...were u ok ...I was like ... 🤣...he has gone bonkers really !

I just hope Ishwari realises that in trying to keep away Dev from Sona ...she may reduce her son to being a robot who has been programmed to just show happiness on the surface and fulfill his worldly duties !

There is not going to be any verbal altercation between anyone here...Sona is too mature to howl and cry...he would be in a fix what to do and how to do it as he cares for his mom a lot and cannot think of making her unhappy. Standing with someone in a decision and accepting it whole heartedly is very different to settling for things and make it a compromise...Dev wont want this for himself/ Sona...tough times ahead yaar !!

Lets see how it goes.

These two love birds are going to suffer in silence I feel till Mommy dear realises what exactly Sona means to him...he has given her a place in himself ...in his heart / thots/ soul / mind whatever ...he shall never be free of her no matter what anyone does ...one can only hide your feelings or curb them but the heart wants what it wants !! It does not listen to anyone...

A big hello to all. I am a silent reader of this forum. I usually look for urs & Maham posts daily after watching episode. U both do magic with ur words.

My whole purpose of writing this post is the Q in the title. I feel this is what will be driving force for this story once after reaching actual point as they mentioned in their initial promos. We all know that Eshwari will not be happy with dev & sona's relationship. I don't want to stress on WHY factor because i leave this part to the cv's of this show who are awesome in handling this story(till now). It will be interesting to see how finally Eshwari will handle her insecurities & how she will understand the importance of sona in dev's life.

Coming to the point what many are worried at present in this forum, Dev is looking little careless towards his business after his realisation of love towards sona & after affects of his behaviour. I can understand that after watching enormous crap on Indian TV on the name of twists & turns in the story, we all are bound to think in this way. My pov is little different here. From the starting of the show, this team said that it's a simple & positive show. I really believe this thing because thats how they were handling the story till now. This guy just realised the feeling of LOVE in his life for the first time & we cant expect him to work in composed way just the next day. I think he was like that only. We have seen him how restless he was when sona didn't accept his phone, when he was looking for perfect match for sona(Jodi.com thing), natasha's proposal time. Its just that the current feeling is different & he is a happy bunny now. I really hope cv's give some sweet time to these love birds to live this phase of their life before moving towards the actual plot.

What attracted me towards this show is its simple, positive, honest & realistic approach. I never thought i will watch any TV show after KY2 then KRPKAB happened. I started watching this show after sona's dream seq & i am really loving it. Its nice to see the way writers are handling it with no OTT, no dragging & no usual crap what we see in Indian tv shows. This forum is such a nice place and i love u guys for how u all r keeping it positive. I felt nice about sharing my views with all u wonderful people here. Have a good day every one. Lets be positive and enjoy this beautiful show.

I really want to thank Sony & KRPKAB team for this beautiful show. Hats off to the cv's and writers of this show. Last but not the least about BG score, its my current fav playlist which is always running in loop. Its like breathing fresh air & really refreshing music. Thank u for not using any BW tracks in this show.

"Aaj tak Maine tujhse koi baat chupaye hai kya Ma?"
But Dev will go ahead and hid his relationship status with Sona from his Mom.. This will be the first mistake he will make..

Dev's inherent need to keep everyone happy at any cost will probably back fire against him.
