Furthermore, there can be parallels drawn between few traits of Anjali of IPK season 1 and Ishwari : wanting to be the center of attention, cannot accept another female other than yourself in their life - here difference is Anjali is the elder sister behaving like the immature one and Ishwari is the mother but she looks mature in handling the situation - there is a dialogue where she wonders - mujhe itni bechaini kyun ho rahi hain or something - mujhe Dev ke liye khush hona chahiye. She also is slowly realizing that she is not comfortable with Dev getting married.
This show seems to be handling this concept of Mother - Son with more maturity than what I have seen. In the pen hospital promo Dev tells Sona about his mother, so he knows there is something up, then I am sure he will deal with his mother too.
I feel both the Son and Mother do realize the trait Ishwari has. There are instances where the both have introspected that themselves. Neha has also helped that realization in a way. Though we all feel she is complicated she is a boon for DevAkshi.
At the same time there is also promo where DevAkshi meet in some outdoor location to discuss, Sonakshi leaves because she looked like she got tired of everything. The dialogue where Dev says maa kuch kehti nahi mein samaj jata hoon, Sona is like tho mein nahi bolti tum samaj jana.
The promos prove that Dev is trying, Ishwari is unable to move on, Sonakshi is at the end of her patience.
