Hey guys! Wrote a story on the leap idea where Kali becomes a singer... My first ever story so its not that good. But hope you enjoy. Do comment your tthoughts on this story and track idea.
Yug stopped the car and stepped outside. He looked around the beautiful city of Mumbai and smiled. He hadn't done that in a while. Ever since Kali left... He looked all over for her but she had disappeared from his life for good. Why had i been so stupid? Why did I refuse to trust the love of my life, my sita? Why had i trusted Gauri... How could Dadi even betray me? Every time he thought about this, his eyes watered up. He blinked away the tears and tried to focus on his task. He walked towards the large building where he had to attend yet another meeting. He could focus on nothing but Kali nowadays.. But he pushed his thoughts out of his mind and headed for the building. He heard cheering and clapping from the event across the street. Maybe a concert? He thought
"Today we present to you Mumbai's rising singing sensation. In just 10 minutes you will witness a magical performance!"
Kali looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. She heard people cheering outside. Cheering her name. Cheering for her. Once she was nothing but the shadow of someone else. Today she had made her own identity. "Ms. Kali , show starts in 5 minutes. Are you ready?" asked her makeup artist.
"Almost. Just one more thing."
Kali opened her purse and took out her most prized possession. She opened the box of sindoor and filled her hairline with it. In the name of Yug. Even though she had left him, how could she leave his memories? His love? The love that was once all she had in life. Perhaps the love that gave her courage to be who she is today?
She got up and walked towards the stage.
"Introducing Kali Yug Choudry!"
People cheered and clapped for her as she took over the stage with her magic.
"Jal rahi hain rah ka ban kar diya"
Yug froze. Had he just heard... No it couldn't be her.
"Jaane kitni raton se teri siya"
All those sleepless nights he spend thinking about her, about her returning.. Him meeting her and setting things right... Was this happening?
He crossed the road and pushed through the wild crowd. He still couldn't see her face but his heart told him it was her. Nobody but Kali and Pishimaa knew that song anyways. And that voice... He had heard it too many times, he had been through this already. This time he wouldnt fail to recognize her.He pushed further to get a closer look. And then he saw her.
Her long hair blowing in the slight breeze. She was wearing a beautiful pink saree. And there was a smile on her face as she closed her eyes and sang her favorite song, putting her full heart and soul into it. Yug let out the breath he hadn't even realized he'd been holding.
"Aoge tum aoge aik din kabhii..."
All he could do was stare. He couldn't believe his destiny. I must've done something really good to deserve to even see her again, he thought
The crowd went wild around him, cheering and clapping, disrupting his thoughts. Kali smiled and waved and blew a kiss towards her fans. He was her fan too from the beginning, her first fan in fact. He smiled as she smiled. Then she headed off the stage, away from his sight. The smile faded from his face as he moved around to get a glimpse of her again.
Kali headed outside, followed by her fans. She walked towards her car. Signing autographs and waving to the people that adored her. Yug ran outside where he saw her again about to leave. He called out her name.
"Kali!"
Kali stopped, shocked. That voice was no doubt Yug's. For a moment she was unable to move.
Yug put a hand over his mouth. No. This wasn't right. After all the pain he had given her, he couldn't just call her back into his life.
Kali turned around.
Yug hid behind the door.
Kali's eyes searched for Yug. That call echoed loudly in her head. It was him... Right. She turned back around. It couldn't be him. She smiled again. She had always had hope that he would come. That call was probably just my imagination, she thought. Yug came out from behind the door. He decided he would never come infront of her again. Look at how happy she was. More than she couldve ever been with him. He loved her right? When he should have trusted her, he didnt. So now he would never want to ruin that smile on her face by taking her back to those people who had wronged her. He would never come in front of her.
He will come, Kali thought. One day. And she got into the car and drove away, leaving Yug helplessly just staring ❤️
