Thank you so much for your likes and comments. Here you enjoy the first chapter.

Chapter 1

"Good Morning madam..!!" The receptionist greet her, she smiled widely and directly walked to her cabin, Dr. Ishita Iyer.

"Aahh..!! I am sorry Mrs. Chopra, I was stuck in traffic." She said while taking a seat on her leather chair. "No. It's okay doctor." The lady smiled brightly.

"Now show me your reports." The lady forwarded her all the reports, Ishita checked them one by one. Ishita Iyer, cardiologist by profession.

"Doctor.. Is everything fine?" Ishita looked up at her and said, "Please don't get panic Mrs. Chopra. I think you have a block in your heart. But relax..!! There's nothing to worry. I am prescribing you few medicines, take them on time and follow a diet chart, it will help you to prevent other damages in nerves." Mrs. Chopra nodded when Ishita called the receptionist and ask her to take her to the dietesian. After they took leave, Ishita engulfed in other works when she heard a voice calling her, "Ishita aunty..!!" Ishita looked at the direction and found a small girl near to age five, was standing there smiling.

"Ruhi..??" Ishita stood up from her chair when Ruhi ran to her and jumped in her lap.

"Kya baat hai Ruhi..!! You are fine no?" She looked worried at Simmi and flicked her eyes.

"Don't look at Simmi bua..!! I am fine. Actually you know today I will get the first prize in school, so I want you to come with me. See..!! Papa isn't here and mumma..!!" She looked down sadly, Ishita noticed that, so she asked, "Oho..!! So chotu wants her Ishita aunty to join her?" Ruhi excitedly looked up and shook her head with a smile.

"Umm..!! But in one condition."

"What?" She asked.

"Let me check you once now."

"No. No. No..!! Not now. You checked me yesterday." Ruhi pleaded.

"Chotu..!! You didn't come here from last three days, but yes I checked you at home but that wasn't a proper check up. Please baby, let me check you once, if you let me check you now, then I promise I will be present at your school on time otherwise..!!" Ishita looked away, she knew only this is way to convince her.

"But Rooh always take her medicine on time, Rooh is fine. Isn't Simmi bua..??" Ruhi looked at Simmi to say something but Simmi said, "Yes Ishita, you should check her once here. Otherwise I too will not going to attend her program." Ruhi made faces as no one convinced, Ishita and Simmi chuckled then Ishita took her inside and checked her, while checking her Ruhi coughed few times so Ishita asked, "Why are you coughing? Did you have cold drinks?" She suspiciously looked at her when Ruhi shook her head in no.

"You know Ruhi, it's bad to lie. And especially its bad to lie to the doctor who treats you."

"Yes. I had ice cream yesterday."

"How many??" Ishita flicked her eyes.

"Two."

"Two? Ruhi how can you.. Wait..!!" Saying this Ishita was going to leave when Ruhi caught her hand saying, "Please aunty..!! Don't scold Simmi bua. She isn't aware about it. Actually I had money so I bought it and then when Simmi bua came to receive me, I again demand it. Sorry..!!" She said with a pout, Ishita looked at her for some times and then said, "Ruhi you should take care of yourself bachha. You know na cold things are not good for your health."

"I am sorry Ishita aunty. I will not do this further. Promise." Ishita smiled and asked the nurse to look after her and she took leave.

Ishita entered in her cabin where Simmi was waiting, "Dr. Ishita how.."

"Don't worry Simmi. She is fine, yes!! Have some cough, I am prescribing her the medicine." Ishita sat back and prescribed medicines when Simmi asked, "You sure na there's nothing to worry."

"Yes. Simmi..!! But keep her always away from dust." Simmi nodded, just then Ruhi came with nurse. "See..!! Bua.. I am fine. And Ishita aunty, now you have to go with me in my school." Ishita happily nodded saying, "I will be there in time."

Ishita walked in the school premises, she looked around to find Ruhi whereas Ruhi was continuously checking the entrance when she saw Ishita coming, she ran to her.

"Slow down chotu..!!" Ruhi hugged her saying, "Thank you Ishita aunty. Come..!! See dadi dadu everyone is there." Ishita looked at them when her eyes directly fall on Toshiji who ignored her, "Ruhi you go to your family. I am fine here." Ishita avoid to confront them but Ruhi dragged her to them and said, "You sit here." Mr Bhalla looked at her and greeted her saying, "Come puttar..!!" Ishita smiled and took a seat, Simmi noticed Toshiji so she whispered to her ear, "What happen mumma??"

"What is this Madrasan doctor doing here. She is Ruhi's doctor, not a family member." She said.

"But mumma our Ruhi feels secure and comfortable with her. Look at them." Simmi showed Toshiji to them who were busy in teasing each other. Soon the program started, Ruhi received prize and after that they all left from there.

Ishita was going to get in her car when Ruhi said, "Ishita aunty, I will go with you." Ishita looked at Toshiji who got furious so she said, "Rooh.. Don't you want to share your experience with your dadu and dadi?"

"Yes. I can do it at home but now I want to be with you. Please aunty." Ishita helplessly looked at Toshiji when Simmi said, "Let's go Ruhi. We will go with Ishita aunty." Ruhi jumped in excitement and soon they left from there.

On the way Ruhi was continuously blabbering but no one getting irritated by her talks, both Ishita and Simmi listening to her. "Today I am missing papa." Ishita looked at her through the rear mirror, she sadly looked down and then asked, "Simmi bua when is he coming? I want to show him my prize."

Simmi looked at her and then said, "I have a solution. Wait..!!" Saying this she called Raman and ask him to come in skype. Soon Raman and Simmi logged in to Skype site and Simmi handed Ruhi the phone saying, "Talk with your papa." Ruhi excitedly took the phone, "Hello papa..!! See, I won the first prize." She showed him the prize, meanwhile Ishita and Simmi smiled seeing her happy.

"Papa when are you coming back? I miss you a lot."

"I will come soon. But you tell me how's your health? Is that doctor treat you well..??" Hearing this Ishita looked on sarcastically.

"Yes papa.. She is very good doctor." Saying this Ruhi coughed when Raman worriedly said, "Rooh you okay? How come you catch cold and your doctor..!! Didn't she give you medicines?? I knew it.. She isn't a good doctor. I wonder, why did I accept to visit her for you.." Raman has started his never ending accusations whereas Ishita was getting furious in each passing time but tried to calm herself but after taking enough, she parked the car, meanwhile Ruhi too understood Ishita's blood is boiling so when she parked the car, Ruhi immediately said, "Papa I will talk to you later." Saying this she cut the call but at the same time Ishita snatched the phone from her hand but found the call disconnected, she looked at Ruhi who was smiling as she knew her papa and Ishita aunty that they both never talked in a sweet manner.

"Papa is busy." Ruhi pouted. Soon they drive back to their society.

Ishita was going through a medical report when her phone rang, without noticing the ID, she received the call saying, "Dr. Ishita speaking."

"Doctor..?? I wonder how did you get medical licence." She heard a husky voice and she didn't take a single second to recognise the voice, but to get double sure, she checked the call and rolled her eyes seeing Raman's name.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"I mean it, you aren't doctor as you couldn't even treat my daughter." Ishita recalled how he talked with Ruhi when he knew about her coughing. "Really..?" She asked sarcastically.

"Of course..!! Any doubt?"

"Before teaching me, you should look at yourself. Your daughter is suffering here and you.. You are roaming around the world for your so called business. Do you have any idea how much your daughter miss you, being a doctor, I can see her pain but it's very disappointed that being her father you never understand it. And about Ruhi's health, I know my job and I always take a good care of her, I have hey cough medicine, she will be fine soon but you know..!! Giving you a free advice, your daughter needs love more than medicines." Ishita have him a long lecture, Raman heard him completely non-interestedly.

"Done? Don't you ever dare to learn me, it's first and the last time, I am warning you." He rudely said and hang up the call before Ishita could react.

It had been a year when Ishita shifted in Raman's society and on the very first day she felt content seeing Ruhi, but it wasn't a good interaction with her father, Raman Bhalla. Then on a such day Raman took Ruhi to Ishita's hospital for her cheek up as Ruhi had a hole in her heart, and one of Raman's friend suggested Ishita's name as she is one of the best cardiologist. Ishita treating Ruhi from the last one year and she is much stable now but her relationship with Raman never goes proper, they never let a single chance to throw tantrums to other one. Raman who is living in Mumbai for his business comes Delhi once or twice in year and Ishita doesn't like it as she saw Ruhi missing her father and sometimes it affect her health and that's why she always try to show this to Raman but his ego never allow him to accept the fact that someone who isn't his family member trying to teach him and this leads them to a never ending fight.

As Raman hang up the call, Ishita say disgusted, "He will never change. How can you give such parents to a lovely girl like Ruhi." Ishita recalled Ruhi's antics and her face beamed with a huge smile.
