Alia Bhatt's ABRUPT REACTION when asked about Kareena Kapoor's absence

Though Kareena Kapoor plays an essential character in the upcoming release UDTA PUNJAB, it seems the actress has deliberately chosen to stay away from the promotions and press conferences of the film. While she was present at the first trailer launch of the film, post that Kareena stayed away from her film promotions for the maximum time. Looks like the reaction of fourth estate after the first trailer launch, didn't go down well with the actress and therefore she has maintained a distance from the film.

Though she never showed up for promotions, surprisingly the lady didn't even come out in open to show her support for her film UDTA PUNJAB, when it was embroiled into huge controversy. She may have given few worthy quotes, but all through the controversy of the film, Kareena was never seen anywhere and remained conspicuous from her absence. It was alwaysShahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who took the center stage.

Even while the UDTA PUNJAB censorship row was on, almost entire team of the film fought for it. Now that UDTA PUNJAB has won the battle with CBFC and releasing with only one cut, a press conference for the same held. Yet again the actress, who plays a doctor in UDTA PUNJAB, skipped the event.

Kareena's truancy certainly raised eyebrows. And the mediapersons present at the press con couldn't resist asking why Kareena was missing from the event, which was certainly an important one as the film is about to release and triumphed in the Censor row.

But before anyone could say something on Kareena's behalf, Alia Bhattconcluded the PC much to everyone's surprise!

While Alia may have come to Kareena's rescue, we certainly want to know why the actress is shunning her own film.
