Because many of the TV audiences are 45+ ladies. As I said earlier also many times I resort to hotstar to watch SKR or Dahleez. Same with my cousins and all. They are in hostels, they mostly watch online what they want to watch.
So the content that is understood by target TV audience is no story type, brainless type. Drama, Drama and more drama.
Also you can say these kind of shows gives these ladies and men too an illusion from reality. Where they can still see the doormat girls which are rare to find in real life these days.
It's also desperately trying to hold on to past which is falling away every second. Digital measurement is the way forward, where shows like Dahleez and all stands a chance.
